I'm thankful there is a channel for this! I suggest skip to 5min timecode for the bar break, bite, reaction and then, the rest I didn't wait around. I would love to edit these reviews down to quick shorts. I appreciate a believable spokesperson and the video helped me make a decision that saved my money and taste buds!
I love them too. And just to clarify, they have ZERO coconut. It's just a very subtle flavor. It's more like a vanilla marshmallow. Costco sometimes has them. I just snagged several boxes. 14 bars for 21.50. 7 Coconut Puff, 7 Brownie Batter Puff.
We just started selling these at my store, was curious about them since they’re 2 for 6 dollars, the macros are what had me intrigued. Bought 2 of the brownie batter ones to try, barebells are my favorite bars though 🤙🏽 Good to see a review!
I really enjoy the puffs 😊 I like the brownie batter the best of the ones I've tried. I have a like / dislike rship with churro. I liked the banana cream puff. I'm going to try snicker doodle or cookie dough next. As for the original bars, I like the brownie ones and the double chocolate one. But they are more chewy and take longer to eat than the puffs in my opinion and it's usually more work than I feel like doing 😂 I feel like the churro could really use some texture in it but that would add more calories.
My boss a dentist got me onto the coconut puffs neither of us have codes and we love them - I personally hate peeps but haven’t had one in a minute. I haven’t tried the brownie batter but you’ve convinced me
Thank you for your honest review! I’m dieting and ordered a box of these a few days ago so I’m glad you said these are great for that despite the odd textures/flavors. I also love Peeps. Have a great day! 😊
The only Puffs flavor that's truly great is cookie dough. There's real cookie dough chunks in them. If I were to only recommended one Built bar it would be the Cookie Dough Puffs
@@MattRosenman Yeah I really think they do it on purpose because they know the demand is so high for the cookie dough puffs. People are always clamoring from them and whenever they put out a new release of them they make a big deal out of it like it's an annual Toyotathon spectacular 😆
They are highly acclaimed because they taste better than anything else on the market that isn’t packed with sugar. If you can’t see that there is something wrong with you
@@dixiekongfan1 If they were an ambassador, they'd probably be pushing a Promo code. I love the Puff bars. I just think too many people hear "Built" and think about the regular bars.
I’m not a paid ambassador. People here want steak dinners or something lol. It’s IMO the best tasting bar on the market and has killer macros to back it up. Like I genuinely don’t know what people are looking for. They just want to hate on what’s popular.
I used to be a Built fan, however over time the texture just got old. The only way to truly eat then was to heat them up in the microwave. The come out with too many flavors to the point it is exhausting and they don’t stay on the site. I stick to Barebells! Great review.
Personally I totally taste cinnamon in the churro one. But yeah I agree they are like a peep kinda!! Good analogy. My favorite to date is brownie batter. And yeah this is helpful for a dieter like me that wants to look forward to a sweet item that also has protein. Some nights I'll do a vanilla Greek yogurt but if I want a solid food instead of something soft, then I'll go with a built bar. One con for me is that because they are sweet I don't view them as a meal replacement or even something I can eat when I get hungry. When I'm truly hungry hungry I don't want a sweet thing. But they are a nice replacement as a dessert for me. And I usually just eat half and then put a rubber band around the wrapper until I eat the other half. I've left them for a week like that and they were still totally fine.
Right now I am really enjoying the Built Puffs. I don't really like the original Built Bars because of how chewy they are. My favorite bars though are the Barebells bars. I eat the Built Puffs when I want something really light in the morning before a workout, and I eat a Barebell bar during lunch at work. The main thing I like about Built Puffs is the texture, but the taste is decent so I will continue to buy them. I prefer the taste of the Barebells bars but Built Puffs will definitely be in my pantry since I don't want to burn out on eating only the Barebells.
love the recipes and reviews matt, i’d highly recommend putting these in the microwave for like 5 second intervals maybe once or twice, and eating it with a spoon or fork. it’s definitely a different experience!
@@MattRosenman if you put them in for long enough yes…but the sweet spot is just enough time for the outside to get melty, and the inside to get softer. but they do expand a bit
I personally tried the coconut the churro and the chocolate I love it. I love that it has 7 g of sugar 17 g of protein and the texture to me. Reminds me of Boba.
Yeah, I’m bummed because the puffs raise my blood sugar 32 points!! Which is consider a spike. But I found if I eat a handful of green olives right afterwards it’s not as dramatic because I love the cookies and cream ones!
I hate built bars I just could not get past that texture!!! The outside was pretty good but the texture was gross once the outside chocolate was gone the middle was disgusting and they molded up quickly. Thank you for an honest review finally!!!

I always love and appreciate your honest reviews. Personally I love built bars because of their flavor and texture. Outside of barabells bars they are my second favorite. I have 0 affiliation with built lol.
I love the new Quest bar texture for the birthday cake flavor! But Barebells chocolate dough is AMAZINGGG. I’m looking forward to trying Built bars if I can find them sold separately somewhere 😊
@@MattRosenman I tried Quest a few times. The flavors were hit of miss. The lemon cake was good. But they would also tear up my stomach, they were loaded with fiber.
I’ve actually frozen them before and it helped the consistency for me! But I agree, never been a big fan of them I’d rather just eat a quest bar or drink a protein shake than chew a built bar for 20 minutes.
I haven’t tried the original built frozen, but the puffed ones didn’t turn out bad! Something about the filling being more like a marshmallow fluff than a caramel.
Actually I like the built bars so much more than any other protein bar I have ever tried. They don't leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth. And yes the calorie count is the least I have ever seen.
Same here. I've probably bought at least 25 boxes, including online and through Costco. Flavors can be hit or miss. But they're all around the 150 calorie / 15g Protein range.
Great protein bars, but significantly reduces bowel movements. It’s the only protein bar I’ve been able to find that isn’t too caloric and doesn’t have any seed oils in it
I ate one after my swim workout and it was sooo sweet. Not a good post workout snack. However, as an after meal snack, it’s amazing. I am going to cut them in half and eat one a day as an after meal sweet.
The Puffs are too soft/sweet for me, but not bad if eaten frozen. The Built bars are a little too chewy, but again, still good. The Granola bars are Gold (Goldilocks), just right! 😉 These are my favourites, although, the texture is not what I'd expect in a typical Granola bar. They taste great, have a substantial (hearty) texture and Built often offers great deals and provides free shipping, even to Canada. I hope they start producing good quality protein powders, soon!❤❤🎉
I’m here because at work a built bars sale rep car wrecked and I lift a lot. They gave me boxes and boxes for free. I think I got 8-900 of them in marshmallow coconut. And I LOVE THEM. Also it was like 2k plus 💵 for free lol
I actually love the regular build bars. I like the chewy texture. I've never had the puff bars but ive seen them heavily promoted. I'm not a marshmellow fan though I just can't go for that

I just bought a couple of these before I saw this review and I actually loved them! They taste just like the chocolate marshmellow covered eggs Easter candy, my favorite Easter candy. 😋
Lol. These are probably my favorite protein bar I've ever had. But I swear to God, that churro one literally tastes how cat litter smells. You know when you walk into someone's house and you can immediately tell they have a cat? That's how it tastes.
I didn't like built either. They were really chewy. They were like eating gum. It's a shame because like 130 calories 20 g of protein is so low for a protein bar. If every protein bar was that low it would be really easy to not overeat
I agree, I am NOT a built bar fan, they totally gross me out. Now, I do somewhat like the Brownie Batter Puffs, and you’re right about the marshmallow texture, it isn’t marshmallow at all. I think it’s more of a thick chewy wet marshmallowy texture. The one thing that I really can’t stand is the slimy feeling on your teeth afterwards. I wish they’d come up with a more edible bar and puff. Thanks for your review! 😉
If you have to heat up a protein bar in the microwave, they are no good. They need to stand alone first as a good protein bar. I thought Built Bars were meh. I felt like I was eating melted car tires and shaped to look like a candy bar. Way too overhyped.
