    I think the biggest issue i have with 110 skills, is jagex ignoring all the problems you face from 1-99 in a skill.
    players already don't level up properly and are passively getting to 99(DAily challenges/Treasure hunter).
    Jagex have already said that there will be no new major gameplay changes to the skills that go to 110 in which case, why would you expect players to engage in this content if there is no major change.
    To me this is a copout, instead of reworking the skill properly so the players would wanted to level to 110 and 120 you are instead only motivating them by OP rewards, the Journy itself needes to be rewarding and fun to do with passive and active training methods, for a lot skills that's not there but for mining and smithing it is.
    Most likely it will work for mining and smithing, but other skills there will be major problems because they haven't fixed the fundamental gameplay of the skills, they should just do top down reworks of skill and then put in 110 latter.

      The thing is, the passive getting the levels AKA MTX is never going to change, however reworking skills take soo much longer that in the time you can fully rework one skill; you can add content to 6-8 skills. At the end of the day, we need as much content and we saw what happened when we didn't e.g. first 5 months of this year

    Gotta agree with you on this, I would love to see more content like BGH for other skills, or make things more rewarding for paying attention AKA time sprites and Rockortunities

    You can camp Arc. It's just not very easy to set up. First you need to stock pile Chimes, by making soup, then you can do Island hopping for either targeted skills, or just doing the general skills that are efficient. Woodcutting, Fishing and Mining. Ignore the rest. Then use Scrimshaw of Energy to double your Div Energy, after a few weeks of this you'll have leveled a ton of different skills and gotten a reserve of Chimes that will last you throughout your RuneScape journey. Or, you can just camp Seren Stones for Mining, and Div Yews for WC, and Waterfall for fishing.

      I think your comment explaining it, highlights EXACTLY the issue with that method; unlocking the "best" method for that skill is a chore to do, which it shouldn't be

    I think the idea of setting a goal at lvl 110 is probably a good thing on the road to 200M. I like the idea of expanded content too, a lot. They've expressed an eagerness to be flexible about this idea, so if people take to it well, maybe they'll assign more resources to make it happen faster. I don't think this will affect me much though. I really don't pay a lot of attention to XP anymore, and certainly not like I used to.

    I went from 99 to 120 with only elder logs and made 1.7b back in the day. Woodcutting is the best skill in the game!

    some form of active skilling should yield near double the output over the course of a full hour. what that looks like, i do not know, but being active vs afk needs to yield more.

    I personally feel like your intention is a tad confusing (To me anyways). I feel like you may be using "Fun" and "active" interchangeably. Which to me, those terms are very rarely paired in RS3. Look at agility, look at dungeoneering, these are skills that are highly active, but if you find me someone who says Agility is fun, ill find you a lair :P. I do think Active training should be better XP, just flat out, that's just something I feel, More effort should = more reward. But that being said, a lot of players find the more involved a skill is, the less enjoyable it is.
    Completely regardless of my feelings on that, I don't actually feel like the intention of this (Or future 110 updates) is to "fix" skilling as a whole, or to balance it. I think this is entirely created to give players more insenctive to keep building their accounts, to further move the players goals. If you look at the number of players with 120 capes/200m, for each skill all of the skills confirmed to be getting 110s are in the bottom half. These skills are the most likely to have players reach 99, for them to go "Alright, I'm done". From Jagex's PoV, I really feel like the goal is solely to give players more reason to put time into the game for these skills, With mining and smithing being an incredible way to reach players who want something to AFK/Make money with mining, and players that want something to AFK, and create combat gear in smithing, where as fletching and woodcuting are both incredibly boring and slow skills. Anyways, I'm just a blabbering old man with too much time on my hands. thanks for the content, liked.

      @malicekooper 6 місяців тому

      TBH that's why 99% of the time I only cut Elder trees for Woodcutting (as it's the only one guaranteed to be a full 5 minute AFK) . Mining I tend to do actively anyway as the bonus from rockertunities is too good to pass up especially on high level rocks like Animica . Fetching I mainly only do when I either have Bolt Tips from Drops or if it's one of my Dailies (Same thing for Smithing either a Daily or I need Rune Bolts)

    Y'know, I would like it if they just picked one skill to boost up only one level... and do that every single week until they are all 120. Could take a super long time (9 years), but could be fun! It's like a little teaser to look forward to every week.

    The treasure hunter, bonds and membership exist for a reason. Because Jagex needs to make money some either way just like everybody else. Some people even sell their RS account for money.

      @nathanloosemore4141 6 місяців тому +3

      I think you missed the point. All skills are 200m there's just no real reason to go for it. It sounds like the skills that already go to 120 shall be unchanged. At least they have benefits for going to 120. All 99 skills are being increased to 110 and are having some extra skilling options.

    Runescape needs some solo-able skilling bosses along with some solo-able skilling minigames. These can have the added factor of having your buddies with you play next to you but not especially being needed. From JBAMORGAN (master comp trimmed) FTW.

      Nothing. Jagex is only going to 110 with skills that don't go up to 120. Expect to see 110 mining and 110 smithing when the Daemonheim Mining and Smithing update comes, as well as 110 woodcutting and 110 fletching when that update comes later in the summer.

    • @ChevalricRS
      @ChevalricRS  6 місяців тому

      cryptbloom itself made perfect sense, just the source of it doesn't IMO; a SKILLING boss. It causes the exact issue that i mentioned in the video; you can't give it good EXP rates (in Jagex' eyes) due to it being one of the best money makers and them wanting crypt to obviously have value

    • @zeldapro18
      @zeldapro18 6 місяців тому

      @@ChevalricRS Oh, I can see that. But Croesus is part of the Elder God Wars and by nature had to give something combat related. Had it been a standalone boss like Tempoross or Wintertodt I'd agree more, although I haven't played OSRS. I believe they wanted to try a few new things like Arch Glacor normal mode, a learner boss and the Croesus, the 1st skiller boss. Also to give skillers a good moneymaker due to skilling not being nearly as good PvM. On a side note, IMO, BGH should be the actual 1st skilling boss. Bossing and for the most part skilling related minigames/activities have never really given good rates. Just direct skill training. Killing the big bad is for getting valuables IMO, putting your experience to the test, lol.

  • @RelmOfRunescape
    @RelmOfRunescape 6 місяців тому

    Not sure I agree with all of your points. I don't think the fastest xp methods should always be the highest level options - 1. It renders everything lower level almost redundant entirely, and two things like elders or any other high level skilling money makers would no longer be money makers, so skills like WC that serve virtually no purposes but for small amounts of money making would be rendered entirely pointless. I think that all skills to 110 is good for skills as a whole and will definitely prove a great addition of content, but it doesn't save the game. There isn't a game on this planet that is still thriving after 25 years, and runescape isn't going to be the first, it's on its way out and that's something we just all have to come to terms with

    • @ChevalricRS
      @ChevalricRS  6 місяців тому

      why is it a bad thing if everything lower gets rendered irrelevant? Look at arch, the best method of training = highest level (if you don't regard the collection completion xp buffs ofc), but even so, the higher ones are still better. The MAJORITY of players in runescape are not at the highest levels and if the method is not rewarding enough (either in xp or soemthing else) then why would the strife towards it?

    Its not avout fun = less experience its more about theirs philosophy of they dont want people to make money whilst getting the best xp rates. In rs, it's always been the way that you lose money to get the best xp or you gain money, but get slow xp. I think its an outdated philosophy but Jagex can never think of new ideas unfortunately

    @sithisrants4154 6 місяців тому +1

    They aren't going to fix this. On the twitter post, they already let us know that the philosophy is the same. They want the new skilling boss to be soloable, and they want it to be a source of profit at the expense of XP rates. I have no clue where the RS3 devs got these fundamentally incorrect ideas about what makes a good skilling boss, but it seems to me like they want to repeat the mistakes of Croesus without fixing the actual problems it had. Skilling bosses should be MASSIVE-TEAM minigames with meager profit and decent XP rates, not small-team or solo activities with high profit and terrible XP rates. Whoever is in charge of these for RS3 has it completely backwards.

      Yeah skilling will never compete with bossing and if it does that's when I finally leave the game. The economy for pvmers is fueled by skillers like making potions etc. I never skill nowadays as high end bossing makes so much more. The only reason they skill is because generally they don't have the skill to do end game content which is fair, but there's a reason the economy is the way it is. Standing AFK at a bank should not make anywhere near the same returns as having to concentrate on a high enrage boss. That will break the economy.
