History of the Phoenix Sister Cities Program & Its Relationships with Four Asian Cities

In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Rick Gerrard, Vice President of Phoenix Sister Cities Program, shares insight and history on the program and its Asian relationships. Phoenix started its Sister City Program in 1972 and currently has 11 relationships around the world. Four of the Sister Cities are in Asia... Himeji Japan (1976), Taipei, Taiwan (1979), Chengdu, China (1987) and Suwon, South Korea (2021).
