At the end of last year I was thrift shopping for my two year old son and came across a brand new blue dress suit for only a few bucks. I looked at it and thought, “Maybe I should get this in case I end up getting married next year.” No clue where that thought came from, but best believe I bought the suit lol🙌🏻😅
I received a prophecy 8 years ago. That would have a very quick wedding. To this day, nothing has happened. In the name of Jesus, I would like it to be a confirmation after so many years of waiting.
Can I ask what you have done to prepare for this promise? Have you fasted and prayed over your promise? Did you contest over it? Have you prayed against the spirit of delay? Understand that when you heard that prophecy so did opposing spirits. God has already given you your husband, now it’s up to you to stand on that promise and PRAY. Desire it, and it will come. Remember quick to us doesn't mean the same for God. Remember God moves according to need not time. I have been told 'this is your Year' FOR YEARS! I understand how you feel sis. I believe God is the one who gives us the sign it's time when he sees we are ready. Based on the scripture following the book of Gen 2:18-20, I want to believe God was the one who got Adam ready for marriage. I don't think God is moved with these mindset of aging. Like you might be aging seriously but it's not enough reason to get married. God doesn't look at age. If he does he wouldn't have considered Elizabeth or Sarah. Am sure you know Hannah wasn't pretty young when she started giving birth. Penninah had many children before Hannah. But God still used Hannah to bring forth a prophet. God's ways are not our ways. Most times when we complain to God about age and etc he actually doesn't see that, what he is looking at his are you even ready? Many people think there are ready maybe because they have good jobs, beautiful,etc but they might not be ready in so many ways. God looks at the future not just now too. Truthfully if you want to do marriage God's way you can't settle for anyone. If you want to do marriage your way settle for anyone and bare the consequences. Remember, God saw that Adam was alone, You need to be alone before you cleave. And that alone can take days, months, weeks, years depending on your obedience to walk with God.
The Israelite were supposed to walk to Canaan in 40 days but spent 40 years because of disobedience. Not Gods fault. God is the one that prepares us for marriage. He is the one that says it's time and when it's time he start to work things out. He will give you hints on it. He might tell you to start praying more than before, change a job, work on a character, several things because these marriage thing comes in seasons and sometimes we miss it because of lack of preparation and discernment.
I will advise you take some time out to ask God why things are been delayed. It might be your fault and it might be the devil too, cause devil causes delay. Once you get your answer start working towards it. Don't complain about aging or anything again. Ask God by your mercy I want to know what's happening to my relationship life. God answers.
Know this that God can use whatever situation to still bring about his glory.

@@585Courtney I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting it. We all want and aspire for different things in life. I’ve been content with being single for a very long time, I’m just at a point where it does bother me. Ignoring it will not take away the many emotions that come along with being by yourself. But when times like that occur, I go to God, and give him thanks for everything in my life and just dive deeper into my Bible, and praying 10x more than before. Some days are harder than most.

Daniella, I normally wait and pray before I comment so i can go to the lord in prayer before just agreeing to a prophetic word that may not be for me! But you just explained my entire dream on 4/28!!! Literally!!
It was my wedding day and I did not have a dress in sight, I remember trying to go to many different places to try and buy one and I looked at my time and it was 1:30 and my wedding was about interesting enough an hour and 30 mins away from my current location with a start time at 4:30. At the end of it I ended up getting married with my normal clothes on 😅.
In march I had a dream of not feeling ready on my wedding day . I was saying to a woman who was helping me get dress in the bathroom that I wasn't ready she was so gentle and calming and told me that it was ok as I said that my husband was walking to the altar with high level men encircling him. These men were a president, army officers.
So with saying this. I now understand.. I need to get ready emotionally and mentally!

This literally happened to someone I know! God told her who her husband was, she waited 4 years and when he proposed they got married real quick and she didn't have a wedding dress or venue!!!! She literal found a wedding dress the day before, it was supppper stressful. GOOD WORD.
