Hey everybody! Sorry once again, I know I promised about that schedule but I have so much going on in the background, all of which I'd love to show, but a big chunk of it is stuff that isn't able to be revealed... yet (and then there's IRL bs but it is what it is), and alongside that, I have been working with @MysticShiv3r on uploads you'll see in the future, check them out after this!
This upload is the first of many in this style, where you get to see the oscilloscope view of my songs, like @carpathia808's uploads I guess.
Ok, onto the actual description now haha. You may have seen me upload a cover of this before... or twice lol, seeing as the 2 highest of my top uploads are both this, given one is an updated version but still. I wanted to do it again but better, because to be completely honest, I hate the sound of them uploads. Not the fact I did them, it allowed me to get where I am now after all, and they are nice uploads to look back on, but tbh it is nowhere near my standard of quality nowadays. I decided to make sure I give it the right treatment this time around, I'd do it in the style I am best in... a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive cover. I had been using Deflemask a lot previous to this, mastering this type of style, and I've decided to bring all of that skill back to my usual music production software, FL Studio, using Genny, a combination of tools I am extremely comfortable with. For this cover, I decided to merge different parts of the different versions I liked. First was of course the original. The second was the Protector of Earth DS main menu version, with the guitar in that being reflected in PSG 1 + 2, alongside the slightly different sliding part in the intro, the drum patterns, and the transition between loops. The third part of this was actually a midi remix of the theme made by @ninterofficial. I used their midi for the last cover of this, and I really liked the lead slides/notes they made for the part at 0:35 in their midi, so I decided to remake that in this. The slides are not exact but I hope Ninter likes the little nod I did to their version, since I used it before, lol. The final version I decided to incorporate was a slight nod to the Race Against Time version of the theme, where I used the bass/guitar version of that from roughly 0:22 until the next part, because when I was younger I really did like the theme, however I wanted to stick more to the original/DS version of the theme so this is the compromise I came up with.

NO FREAKING WAY you remade the theme on Genny?? that's sick man!! I've never played the DS version of Protector of Earth, but this game was _my jam_ back then, very simple yet still incredibly charming beat 'em up
yeah it was my thing too haha, had the ps2 version and the ds version. the ps2 version is definitely better but the ds version is amazing in it's own right.
soundtrack, while being unlike the original game, is good (take a peek at my recent uploads if you wanna get an idea 👀), gameplay is fun and it does adapt a lot of the game to the ds in a great way, whenever you have the time it is for sure worth playing!
The original Ben 10 theme song was in the first Ben 10 video game and I didn't know?
tbh it's surprising you didn't know considering it's the title screen lol but yeah, for all versions it uses the theme. I believe they changed it up a bit on the non-DS ports, but on the DS it's a whole different version with new drum parts n stuff. A whole seperate remix was also used in cutscenes on the DS version.

also i know the original series game for ben 10 nabbed a whole bunch of music from the show, so there's a chance the ost for the game has it (protector of earth, specifically the ps2/psp version (and maybe wii if i'm remembering correctly lol))
(for example, the first level's first bit of music is actually the theme from the start of the tourist trap episode)

However if, you’ve watched the Ben 10 “Race Against Time” live movie then, it’s the Heat Blast VS Neon the time breaker villain fight scene. You show here that battle theme music there.
