    Love your little jingles you cut to during activities. I also miss the beginning jingle when the video starts. You're such a great gardener. Thank you for sharing it all with us. 🌿🦋🌸🐝

    I love watching you transform your space! You've served as such a sweet inspiration. From experience, I will share that my two beach verbena are each roughly 4' x 4'. They are spectacular! Just wanted to share since they did get a bit larger than I anticipated.

    The stand up baby shovel, the one that’s about 3 or 4 feet long, is exactly the depth of gallon pots. Makes it super easy to

    I'm not being critical if you power wash your sidewalk it could really make the garden and house pop

      I agree! It could definitely use a power wash!

      Your desert rose is gorgeous and I love the giant pot! Do you know what the cost was for this area?

    Love the wildflowers! I found in my garden when I added more of the larger native grasses they can help support the tall flowers that usually flop and add amazing textures.

    Had no idea purple coneflower was native near you, too! It’s one of my favorites. Looking forward to dividing mine come spring. It’s still freezing here 😅

    OMG i am a killer of frog fruit, so 'jealous' of your problem ! can you grow the perennials amidst the ff? Or will the ff steal all the nutrients?

    • @WildFloridian
      @WildFloridian  6 місяців тому +2

      The challenge I had is the frogfruit grew over all the wildflowers and smothered them.... SO any perennials that would die back... wouldn't be a good choice. BUT if it is a larger perennial plant that can't be overtaken, I could see that working out.

    🌺This year I'm starting a new area for a flower garden. I have a large collection of seeds, plus looking for some native plants. I've started some seeds, but still working to create my garden (trying to repurpose materials and looking for free items too). I'm designing on a mini slope so planting the flowers might be tricky, I think. Anyway I enjoyed your video, I do journal/color code too and like your garden design. See you in your next video.🤩

    Will your desert rose rot out in the open like that if it gets too much rain? I've heard that could happen. Mine is under the overhang of my front porch. I'm not sure that is the best place for it. What do you think? They're a gift from my sister in law, I don't want to kill them. Thanks. Your new area looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.

    • @WildFloridian
      @WildFloridian  7 місяців тому +2

      I would like to caveat that I'm not a desert rose expert. BUT that desert rose has been without cover for AT LEAST 10 years. It has never shown signs of rot and only slowed its blooms due to lack of sun last year. The previous owners left it behind when they moved out. Ben and I just repotted it in that huge pot.... maybe 6 years ago. I also have neighbors who have desert roses and they aren't under cover. BUT they are all large plants. So it might be different when they are small. I hope my anecdotal advice helps. best wishes with your lovely gift! :D

      @@WildFloridian Any advice is appreciated. When you Google a subject you get flooded with advice and you really don't know what to believe. I'm in the Orlando area, our climate is similar. I will experiment with one of the plants. Thanks again for the help.🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
