I'm born & raised in Chicago. This man is so very, CORRECT. If Jeff Fort & Larry Hoover were still on the street, Chicago would've never been like it is now. They were leaders, they were organized like a mf. When Fort & Hoover were in power, there wasn't any reckless BS. You couldn't just shoot up the city. You had to get permission to everything. Im from the WChanestside of Chicago and tne real reason why Chicsgo is so bad is because the Westside and Southside are basically like their own seperate cities and are bigger than most US cities but mostly are impoverished whuch makes up for the high crime and murder rates. The Westside of Chicago has more people than Atlanta and the Southside is about the size of Detroit. Detroit overall is worse than Chicago and a place like Memphis is as well. But u also have to factor in the Loop which is downtown and mostly plush and home to pne of premier shopping and financial districts in the world and has arguably the best skyline in the world. Then u have the northside which has a few rough spots but moslty is very nice and where all the white folks live thst dont live in the Loop. Now if u take the Westside which is probably worse than Memphis and bigger than Baltimore and the Southside which is bigger than Boston and has a higher murder rate than Philly and bigger are you surprised it is the murder capital? At the same time you have a very low property rate on the West and Southside but most of the homes are classical American style bungalows, two flats, three flats and brownstones made out of solid brick, metal pipes and built on great foundations with attics and a basement. So we have to find ways to get black and brown people that live in Chiraq to invest what money they have in the market and not in the drug trade. Chicago is has surpassed Miami and is now the center of the war on drugs in the USA. The Sinaloa Cartel has it's headquarters here and heroin is the drug of choice in the city. The Westside is home to the largest open air durge market in the USA and guess what? Most of the clientele is white people coming in buying drugs from the Burbs like Joliet, Batavia, Forest Park, Liles, etc...So if they didn't want to get high it wouldn't be as bad and the Southside is basically a weapons dump. You have 16 year old kids walking around with military grade munition and black people dont own any gun firms, are not the CEO of any drug cartels and dont grow weed,meth, coke or poppy fields in the city. So black people are too blame for taking the bait but the question is who put the worm on the hook and what were u fishing for a why? What is going on in Chicago is a by product of white supremacy. Chicago was founded by a black man but yet is one of the most racist and segregated cities even though things are changing and will change. G Count really isn't informeu about the history of Chicago because when Larry Hoover and Jeff Fort were free things were just as bad if not worse. Gang banging in Chicago had died down a bit from like 2002 to 2005 then after they tore down all the project and relocated all those people and when thry got settled in it stsrted bsck up and the younger generation carried the torch but it is less organized but it was never positive for too long in beginning due to the meddling of the FBI and CIA.
