    I've had Harleys AND Hondas.
    I've toured on both and I'm not jealous of either one. Just two different types of machines. Granted I don't need tech, when it comes to Harley's I actually prefer the older ones with less Tech.

    Totally agree CH!! I have a 2008 GL1800 and it runs great. My wife loves it. Had a Harley-Davidson, she didn’t like it at all. Even after I put some mods on it. She’s a GOLDWING GIRL and I’m good with that. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾👍🏾😁

    Hahaha.,.,I tell you what, you seem to talk a lot about Harley Riders. Good wings are good bikes, but as a Harley rider and mechanic. The reason I ride a2009 and not a new one is because the wrenching on the is a lot easier than working on a good wing. I do agree with you, that if your afraid of a recall, you shouldn't be riding.

    Well, like @roadglide said, I love my bike. If it crapped out on me all of a sudden, I might swerve into the other lane and get a Harley but for now, I’m very pleased with my current bike. It gets the job done for sure and as you can see in my videos, it can eat up the miles. It can go and go and go. When the first announcement of the recall came out; I just kind of blew it off because the bike was in the garage anyways no big deal. Everything can have a recall at some point. It’s part of the process of buying something new. Thanks for sharing your bike and posting your cool videos. If you’re up for it, I have a f6b_adventures ride-in in April at the tail of the dragon. Looking forward to meeting you there.

    I’ve owned all kinds of bikes to include an Ultra for almost 10yrs. If I were you and you wanted the Harley experience I’d keep the wing and add a road king to the garage. Take the wing when you want to travel problem free, and do local trips or overnights on the Harley. If you want the tech throw a CarPlay unit on and use your comm system. Most Harley riders trade every couple years for very little gain. But I know you have a few bikes already so what’s one more 😂😂😂

    I have an older Goldwing 1800 and I also own a Harley Heritage 114. Both are good bikes. I do feel like manufacturers really push new products no matter what they are because they know there are people out there that have to have the latest and greatest thing. I try not to fall into that trap. I would like to have a new Goldwing, but right now mine does a fine job. Maybe when I get a lot of miles on it I'll look at getting a new one. Same with my Harley or my other bikes I own. Like you said just buy what you enjoy and ride.

Could be just me but i would save the money and just fix the 18-23 model year Harleys up to the way you want it and keep driving... Now I will say i have been debating on trading my 21 Harley Ultra in for a newer Golding DCT.. Infotainment just surpassed Honda. Brakes and suspension on par with the GW. Granted this only applies to the CVO ST. Waiting on mine to come in. I love to ride. Brand is secondary. My GW still has a lower center of gravity. I’ll check on the next gen of the GW when that comes out.

    I'm Comparing Fixed Fairing Touring To Fixed Fairing Touring... Road Glide Vs Goldwing.
    A Goldwing Is A Hell-Of-A Machine... Absolute Engine Reliability, 6 Cylinder Motor With Supreme Engineering. But A Harley Can't Be Denied... The Sound, Look, Feel And Community Of A Harley Is What Attracts Millions To The Brand.. The Craftsmanship... The Relaxed Seating Position Is What Makes A Harley Touring Bike... A Harley May Not Be As Powerful Or Reliable As A Wing But It's Powerful And Reliable Enough... It's A Challenge For A Harley To Compete With A Car Motor (6 Cyl) .... The Goldwing Has A Sports Bike, Bar-Stool Like Seating Position, Which Makes It Difficult For A 6'4" Rider Such As Myself To Ride Comfortably. I Feel Cramped On The Wing And Everything Is Shrouded In Plastic... Unlike A Harley Where You Could See The Heads, Push-rods And Other Detailed Craftsmanship. I Know There's Nothing Like Going On A Long Road Trip Knowing That Your Bike Won't Leave You Stranded, So I Understand Why People Love The Wing. But I Really Like The Harley For The Sound, Look Feel And Community. They're Two Different Machines... It All Comes Down To Preference. I Could Never Be Jealous Of A Sports Bike, Moped Looking Motorcycle Because I Know My Road Glide Special Is Bad Ass💯

    • @craighanesworth262
      @craighanesworth262  3 місяці тому +1

      I agree with you. The one thing that hurts the Goldwing is that it really isn't built for taller riders the way the road glide is. I think it is a more comfortable seating position. Spot on comments. Ride safe!

But In My Honest Opinion; Both Bikes Have Something Great To Offer... That Wing Is A Helluva Bike... Reliably Smooth As Butter And Powerful As Can Be... And I Think They're Good Looking Bikes... In A Class Of Its Own 💯 Thanks For Responding To My Comment... I Have A 2022 Road Glide Special And A 2006 Suzuki Burgman 650, And I Know My Burgman Isn't A Honda But It's Still Japanese Engineering And A Total Blast To Ride. Smooth And Deceptively Powerful... I like and respect both bikes!! I chose Harley Davidson because I think it's better in ways the Honda can't compete! Like the brotherhood and customization! I think Goldwing is the best cross country bike and maybe the best riding bike period!! For me and most Harley Davidson owners I know it's not just about the bike itself rather the whole experience and cool look that you just can't get from Honda! Also from my experience it's the Honda guys always throwing shade and ragging on Harley not the way you put it, so maybe they are the ones who's jealous 😉

    The biggest reason people are buying the '24 HD over the '23's is because all the new tech (To HD) and bigger engine for less money by several thousand dollars. HD is going to have trouble (is already having trouble) getting rid of the 23's because of the much lower starting price of the 24's.

    I was a self built rigid, springer girder rider. Yes, I put lot of miles on it, just carry a Swiss army Tinker knife and you can fix most anything. When the crotch rockets came out I finally bought one to see why people were buying them. If you like your arms and hands falling asleep and cramps in your neck, buy one. Be prepared to take corners you usually take at 45 you will have to do 100 to enjoy the corner and take it right. So, back to my ridged with the back wheel off the ground 70% of the time, kick start and one rear brake. Then I wondered why people rode gold wings, so I bought one. Boring as F___. I had a car already. So back to the ridged. Haven't ridden in a couple decades but thinking about building another bike. Nice that the EVO's are cheap enough so you can cut them up. You want digital dash, radio's, Ferring's, windshield, trunk, glass smooth ride, no vibration, helmet to helmet communication buy a car, they're cheaper and you don't need a helmet. Oh but the wind,,,,,, roll the windows down. JMO

    The Harley riders aren’t jealous, trust me. I’ve ridden them all (tourers) and can tell you they are all great bikes. The reason the argument can be made amongst them, is each does it differently. It simply comes down to personal preference. For me the 24 Glides are emotional, visceral, and uniquely beautiful. The wing is absurdly competent, no doubt, but it’s a Honda in every way, good and a little bit of yawn. 🥱 The K bike is Teutonic to the nines. IYKYK. Can Am Spyder, amazing machine, but again, depends on your preference and riding needs. It’s not an interstate mile muncher like the cycles are. Yeah, I left out the Indian on purpose, forgettable in this field. The rest don’t even matter in the market.
