I love Minis but good God they always sound like something under the hood is broken. I just took care of all the repairs and maintenance on my 2010 Cooper S and the engine noise still scares me.
i think its alright, the top of the windscreens is almost always in frame, what do you want to look at? The roof? Your FOV is bigger in IRL so that may be why you are experiencing this?

@@Lowca19 In the dry I have no problem, I have 205/40r18 tires My engine torque has been adjusted progressively because of the gearbox, so I don't have too many traction problems.

I have lived in Germany from 90-92. I blew up a Taurus and a buddy in the Army loaned me a Mini for about a month. It really impressed me. I am from the country where we drive big trucks so small cars was never something most were really into. It is kind of like the call box in Dr. Who. Its bigger on the inside.
Honestly manual is ok but my next mini will definitely be auto, I get it's fun with a manual but for everyday commute and faster shifts the auto is the way.
I have the r56 cooper s. I love it! Sadly this model requires too much maintenance and has plenty of issues for me to keep it long term. But will for ever stay in my memory:)
@@janlala1710 I did, before I bought it two years ago :D I know what can happen with these. Good quality fuel, good quality oil changed every 10k km, preventive maitenance and it's working nice. I am on Mini EU discord server and one of the fellow N18 owners wouldnt agree with me one bit :'D

Mini Cooper should always be manual. In this setup its just a fwd 1 series automatic.
Manual is slower
@@claudetheruler who cares about slower. A Mini should give you pure involvement af driving. Automatic doesnt give the same sensation.

Interesting. I have the R56S with N18 and since I addressed the HPFP and cooling system it's been good for 30k+ kilometers.
