The science of sustainable textile manufacturing

Textiles are all around us, but understanding textiles themselves is complex. We use 100 million tonnes of textile materials each year but more than 70% end up in landfill, producing a lot of stress on our planet. Associate Professor in Sustainable Textile Manufacturing at the University of Leeds Muhammed Tausif shows us how his research is looking to create more sustainable fibres and manufacturing processes for the future.
