Hey, I deal with rare vintage computers from 70s + 80s, they are worth up to 30% more with the box. A lot of owners don’t care about the box so they tape them up for storage. What I’ve been doing for the past year now is warming up the tape so it comes off without ruining the graphics, I use a heat gun at 100C, be super careful, I usually wave it on the tape for a few seconds, pull it away, start peeling, wave again and peel more. The key is to take your time, be patient, and it will pay off!
Seeing Milo always makes me smile. I've had a couple great chubby orange cats in my life. Milo brings back good memories of them.
LossVegas Me too. Orange cats 🐈 are the best!
@@jackiebd24 Agree! Chubby orange cats are the best!
I LOVE organge cats. Mine is like looking at a sunset🐈🐈
Got my own chubby 15 year old ginger🐱best cat EVER !👍✌
My Gran had a massive tom called 'Beans' that was a right character!
We call them ginger moggies in the UK. A solid (no white chest etc) female can be expensive as they r supposedly rare?
Star Wars was the first movie my dad ever took me too. I was I think 5 or 6 years old. Every week my dad would go to the movies himself (My mom hated movie theaters I don't know why but she did ) I remember being so excited for my dad to take me with him. Mind you I wasn't and am still not a scifi fan. But the thought of my dad taking me to my first movie getting candy tonic and candy. Was amazing I will NEVER forget that and to this day if it is on TV or we also have the DVD ( ONLY SCIFI MOVIE I OWN) I drive the 30 plus miles to watch it with him ( I stop and get popcorn candy and tonic) And we will watch it together. So never think something small you do for your child wont change their life's think again !!! I will watch this when I can with my dad and NOONE in his or my house will bother us because its something special between us. I will always remember my first movie and watching it with my hero
MY DAD
LOVE YOU DAD AND ALWAYS WILL.
My dad was and will always be my hero too! Hug and kiss him ASAP cuz my dad died March 💔 21 2019 and it hurts worse now than when he died we use to explorer abandoned places on UA-cam together and I always see something and want to ask him and can't that hurts so bad! I'm in the funeral industry u would think that I could suck it up and take it but he will always be that tear that will hang inside my heart 💔💓💓💔💔💔 and soul forever! Fresno CA
@@johnmatthews5321 Sorry for your loss John, that has to be rough... Was reading over your post and could not help but wonder if you have the videos still posted - i checked your account to no avail. Do you have them posted still? If so, share the link to your channel so i can check them out! Thanks -Dick
I love your accent Pete. It adds to the content. The fact that you pronounce almost everything correctly, and get American expressions 99% right only adds a little light humor when you rarely mix something up. Great content sir. I’m a little surprised a network hasn’t wanted to feature you, and your coworkers. Good luck to you and the others at the shop! Happy holidays, and a healthy happy new year to you and yours!
What a score!
Pete I will double what you paid for that Star Wars toy. CASH
Pretty funny...
I will forple the offer!!
i was researching when i first subbed to you and found it, Nov 5th 2014 you published a video and i was the first comment on it, funny how time fly's, i'm proud to know you friend and wanted to take a second to commend you on the fine job you have done not just growing your channel but also staying true to who you are, it's hard to see a difference between then and now, thanks for staying grounded and for sharing your journey with me, i'm proud to say that Pete/Craigslist Hunter/Bubba is my friend!
Thank you for the kind words MrSaddie and thank you for sticking around for this journey with me. Spring is just around the corner so it's time to get out there and do some metal detecting need more videos like that Bubba once again Thank you for watching. Cheers !!
When Vicky got up on that table....the video got way more exciting.
AAMM ya I was imaging a photo shoot.
Then she says "I'm gona have to pull it out" !!! 😆
On the table looking like she does AND playing with Star Wars toys?! Instant nerdgasm!!
Great find!!! wow!!! When Vicki pulled out that monster I was like WhaaWhooo!!!! I still look for that guy in the toy bins just in case haha!!! And as a tip-- any older plastic that is yellowed--- if you have the time and want to get more money out of it--- put it in the sun (a sunny window, porch, or a deck) for two weeks and rotate it. You will be amazed at the difference!!! It brings back the value and makes it white again.
Milo is the best! Love seeing him. The best way to carefully remove that tape is by heating it up just a little with a small hair dryer on low. Go slow don’t rush. That’s how I get all price tags labels etc off. It works great about 90% of the time. Sometimes it’s just too old. Great find! So awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You found the last piece!! Great find Peter. Never know when you will run into something like that, always have to be on the lookout. Since I started watching your videos few weeks ago I started selling some of my old stuff on ebay. Got 25 listings and already sold 10 things! You been a big help in guiding me the right way!
What a score on that Death Star playset! Sure wish SWPA Goodwills would allow returns. Ask crazy high prices for items and if they don't work it's too bad for you. Oh and you owe Lonnie .32¢ in royalties.
Kevin, check your basement. You probably have one of these sitting down there!
😂😂🤣 I'd like to say that if I had ever bought one I'd remember, but it's honestly not out of the realm of possibility that I have one down there!
One of the best resellers on UA-cam, this is how to be successful on eBay. Thanks for the great videos, Pete.
I love goodwill. Found a painting there for $4.00, ended up being worth $10k. It's now insured and proudly displayed on my wall.
What a find! Would you mind sharing the name of the artist?
Holy FUHHHk man.... are you serious????? I’ve been a bargain hunting hustler all my life and I’m beginning to feel ASHAMED that I’ve NEVER SET FOOT in a GW... after reflecting on my childhood, I can recall that although we were BROKE, my dad still kept my away from “seedy” places and he DEFINITELY had issues with buying someone else’s stuff.
Now I’m 40, my once incredible eBay/Facebook Garage Sale/ Craigslist side hustle has been set aside since 2010, and my habit of pulling over to stop my car next to almost ALL curbside stockpiles of “heavy trash” to see if there were any hidden gems has also faded away...
Pete’s videos and comments like yours make me CRINGE with regret because I always had that “GREAT EYE” for value in things that most people called JUNK and a strange ability to restore any item to its “like new” condition...
Right now with Xmas around the corner and Pete’s videos on my screen more often, I actually sparked back up my hustlers spirit and VOWED to find the stockpile of “5-Surprise Mini Brands” mystery ball toys that the internet is breaking over and people are selling for $17-$30 EACH from the $5.99 msrp... my kids wanted 1 each for Xmas and I felt like a complete HAS BEEN awhile considering paying the inflated prices.... so, I dug into my old bag of tricks 2 days ago, made some calls to stores and took some drives, and BINGO.... I worked my charm on a big box store manager which ended up scoring me just under 200 of these toys at the msrp which will fulfill my kids requests AND PAY FOR MOST OF THEIR OTHER TOYS once I sell them off over the next week....
All you guys in these videos and comments remind me of the ideals we were raised on. Making money the RIGHT way and having fun doing it while never ever underestimating an unwanted item.
Merry Xmas to anyone who may see my novel. ✌🏻
Hi to beautiful Vicky and Ryan. Great discovery Pete. Glenda from Australia 🦘🦘
Awesome score. Pretty sure my cousin had that. He had everything! I love Milo "in the way". If there was ever was a job description for cats, it would be "in the way".
Last week I got a bag of 1977-1984 Original star wars action figures guns and vehicle!!! I was shocked.. to be honest I didnt know what I had til I got home and my hubby and I went through it!!
Around here the thrift stores are pretty cherry-picked over (I think most stuff never even hits the shelves). What does end up on the shelves is usually overpriced. I have only had maybe 3 decent picks over the last 5 years at the local GW (and that's going 2 times a week). I found a NIB Aiwa CD player for $5 that sold for $58. Then I found a Sangean SW radio that went for $90 and cost me $10. My specialties are electronics, toys, video games. But I have bought every day items like a new pack of Brita water filters for $2 (retail for like $12), clothing, DVD's, etc..
love the video's I watch everyone, Vickie I think is just the cutest and the best for your video's keep them coming,
Thank you really enjoy your videos. The way you showed each item and bins I thought I
was watching Garage Flips with an accent....keep up the great videos..
You can often cleanly remove tape/stickers by gently heating with a heat gun set on LOW. If possible, heat the substrate, not the tape itself.
Larry Fry . Or a hair dryer.
@@gretchenlhommedieu6352 Hair dryer will work, just takes longer. It's probably safer, too.
With Goodwill raising their prices across the board, how in the world do they they let that one slip. !! WOW Great score !
Hi Pete, you can remove the tape from the box without damaging it, all you do is get a hair dryer, start heating up the tape at the same time as pulling it slowly off, I do this every day at work, works well on all packaging tape except Gaffer tape.
Love your videos
Tony from the UK
Wow, that's an awesome score Pete. I really got exited too, watching you both unpacking. That was so much fun. That's why I always want to go thrifting. You never know what is waiting for you. I'm glad Vicky found the missing piece and you can get the most out of it. It will be a fast seller I bet. Thanks for sharing :)
Can't wait for you to tell us what you sold that for!!!! Good video as always. Old lady from Iowa.👍👌👏👏👏👏🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🌽🌽🌽🌽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😀
Wow! WISH you would have recorded that GW run, what fun to have seen that when it happened!!! The GW here in Minneapolis would have immediately put that up on their auction block or priced it at a several hundred dollars. Nice find Pete, you'll have a very hard time beating that one!
That would have been sitting in the glass case at my area GW, with a printout from ebay taped to it to justify their $250 price as being a "good deal".
Same here. I really need to find more excuses to head down to IL from WI more often, lol.
Same with the silver too. They grab anything that has value, and prices it like a pawn shop.
They love to do that here with things that aren’t even valuable... it’s funny. Sometimes they mark fake stuff for real prices and they won’t even talk about the price
Goodwill also has an Ebay store
Gathering No Moss the goodwill eBay store kinda takes away the good part of goodwill. stuff sells for so high, usually goodwill is for those outrageous deals. I haven’t had good luck with them online
Thanks for another awesome video. You definitely scored a great find! Use a heat gun or blow dryer to loosen and remove the packaging tape - it saves the packaging print. If any sticky residue remains after removing the tape, WD40 will remove it beautifully!
Pete, use a heat gun ( hair dryer) when removing tape, works every time.
saves the box every time !
Just goes to show you that you can still find stuff at goodwill . Their employees don’t always catch everything . Nice find!!!
@68Camaro RS/SS you would be surprised managers would take stuff home after purchase said item cheap or employee might list it wrong friend buys said item and gone.
Wow wow wow!! Amazing find! Thank goodness for the damaged item!!
See everyone, treasure is still out there.. and always will be. I need to work on my inventory storage management, just not today 😄 Hey to Vicki 🙋♀️ she's a saint for working with only men 😉 I worked with only men for my entire glass career of 19 years and wouldn't trade those years for nothing. Respect for one another goes a long way. Life is good ✌🏻💜😁
"Shipping on Top" That is Lonnie's line from Garage flips. Nice to see he started other sellers to use that slogan
Trademark infringement...😂
@@timpackard9177 Yes definitely, I think he should pay loyalties to Lonnie everytime he says that word😀
Nice find Pete. Vintage toys are where it's at. I've been collecting and selling them for about 32 years. If you really want to go down memory lane, check out the Kane County toy show not all that far from you in St. Charles, IL. It's one of the best in the country, and the next one is in late April. You'll find Star Wars toys and virtually every other kind there.
Yep..that's a great place for selling your wares. Lots of Chicago design people shop there.... and pay good money for anything CooL.
Wow. The box for the death star is worth more than you paid, awesome find.
Awesome score Pete you and vicky have a great chemistry I think your lucky to have such a cool person on your team of reselling she seems to be a awesome person keep the great videos coming and keep finding those treasures cheers
Lol, mini box A with the heavy ass Harley Davidson mirrors!
Pete cracks me up!
Vickey said he get this I don't want to reack the box lmao
I remember opening that thing up on Christmas morning when I was six years old. Finding that on the shelf at Goodwill is insane. How does a Goodwill employee not buy that for themselves before it hits the shelf? You know it must smell just like money.
Is Vicky really that small where she can fit inside the photo booth??? 🤦🏽♂️😂 great vids Pete 🤙🏽💵
The Goodwills in my area would have known to sell that online, at best they would have put it in the glass case for $300.
A hairdryer will remove most adhesive labels and tape heat and peel carefully
Vicky solves all Pete's problems! 😀
i don't know if you use this but for the tape that goodwill and salvation army put on things i use a blow dryer to heat the tape up and it pulls right off without damaging the box.
Milo rules the shop!! Don't all cats think they OWN everything and everything is for THEM? Of course (and it is)!! :) Love your pets!
That was fun! Pete, I think that's the most excited I've seen you! LOL WTG!
That foam doesn't usually survive, the gun is also usually broken too. This was a great find!
Great find! I regret not picking up one of those because it was just the box and small parts, later that week I dug through my vintage stars box and found out I had the larger pieces. Was so upset!!, but glad you scored a complete one.
The green monster if it's in there is a$30 bill all day long if it's not complete
Great find. I can’t believe someone else didn’t get that. Oh well, Cha Ching for you. Even selling this by the pieces you still make money!
Pete your luck is apparently endless. I was beyond excited to see that find.
Holy FUHHHk PETE... i cannot believe this!!! I’ve been a bargain hunting hustler all my life and I’m beginning to feel ASHAMED that I’ve NEVER SET FOOT in a GOODWILL!!! after reflecting on my childhood, I can recall that although we were BROKE, my dad still kept my away from “seedy” places and he DEFINITELY had issues with buying someone else’s stuff.
Now I’m 40, my once incredible eBay/Facebook Garage Sale/ Craigslist side hustle has been set aside since 2010, and my habit of pulling over to stop my car next to almost ALL curbside stockpiles of “heavy trash” to see if there were any hidden gems has also faded away... but MAAAANNNN was I a monster at it!!!
Your videos and the comments that follow from your GREAT subscribers make me CRINGE with regret because I always had that “GREAT EYE” for value in things that most people called JUNK and a strange ability to restore any item to its “like new” condition... While educating myself on its history to fully appreciate its value.
Right now with Xmas around the corner and CL HUNTER PETE’s videos on my screen more often, I actually sparked back up my hustlers spirit and VOWED to find the secret vault of “5-Surprise Mini Brands” mystery ball toys that the internet is breaking over and people are selling for $17-$30 EACH from the $5.99 msrp... my kids wanted 1 each for Xmas and I felt like a complete WASHED UP HAS BEEN while considering paying the inflated prices....
SOOO.... in honor of CL HUNTER and all the subs, I dug into my old bag of tricks 2 days ago, made some calls & drives to stores, asked the right questions, and BINGO....
Secret Santa “Mini Brands” Vault LOCATED!!
I worked my charm on a big box store manager which ended up scoring me just under 200 of these toys at the msrp which will fulfill my kids requests AND PAY FOR MOST OF THEIR OTHER TOYS once I sell them off over the next week....
ALL OF YOU GUYS (PETE & his commenting subs) are a unique community that has reminded me of the lost feeling that Making money the RIGHT way and having fun doing it is a treasure in and of itself!!!
Never underestimating an unwanted or discounted item is the cure to the overspending cancer everyone!!!
Whether it’s a second hand version of an item you really need, OR just an older second hand item that someone TOSSED AWAY, a person who lives by these ideals WILL NEVER GO BROKE AND NEVER SPEND FOOLISHLY. They will find that bargain, or sell someone else’s relics to pay for the item they need!!
These videos and comments constantly remind me of the foundations we ALL were raised on such as the value of our dollars and the carelessness with which we throw buckets of cash at Amazon that we should NOT allow! It’s nearly impossible to forget stay focused on these ideals when there are advertising algorithms manipulating us all day long to buy those shiny new gadgets online. So THANK YOU for being a part of that counterweight we all desperately need.
Merry Xmas to anyone who may see my novel. ✌🏻
Great Find. I love Star Wars toys from the 70s and 80s. Anything after is crap.
We need your Goodwill prices in my area! The Star Wars toy would have been put in the "glass case" for a price higher than what eBay has it listed for. Great find!
At 7:40 had to literally laugh out loud! "People just walkin' by..." I know...that's one of the really FUN parts of thrifting.
Really nice video, get Vikki a lite brite, they're vintage and fun 😁 nice to meet y'all ✌💕
You amaze me with your finds... Cheers my friend...
Fantastic ending finding the missing piece! Congratulations!
When the freakin' _leftover sticker sheet_ is in the box -- not to mention the original foam junk -- you know it's got to be a full set.
Love it! Great find star wars collectibles! What a score! Thanks for sharing
Hello Craigslist Hunter...love the videos!! Watching this one and I wanted to share with you a product that I have used 100’s of times for ‘unsticking’ tape or any ‘peel & stick’ type product. The stuff is called ‘Un-Du’ and is available on Amazon. It is amazing!! Don’t freak out when everything gets wet as the wet dries and returns to the original condition. I can’t recommend this stuff enough!! Hope this helps!!
Pete, a heat gun carefully aimed at the tape will loosen it from the paperboard if it has adhered so much that it is pulling off the graphics. But be careful not to get it too warm.
My mother and i and my older sister were in a horrible car accident that hospitalized mom for a year. So we moved from the nwt to the yukon in 1977 and in watson lake that year they had built a brand new movie theater and they showed one movie before they closed forever and it was phantom menace. How amazing is that.
Absolutely EPIC score Pete!! The exact reason I'm in this game is for pick-ups like this that come once in a blue moon 👍👍
If I walked into my local Goodwills every-single-day - for the next 365 days - I would still NEVER find an item like that!!! If by some crazy chance I did, they would have a $500 price tag on it!!
Great score, Pete!
Wow great Star Wars find ! I had this when I was a kid , brings back memory’s 😊
That little blue piece at 15:30 is from an architecture girder building set from around the same time. One of my favorite toys. I still buy them when I can.
What a find. My wife and I got one of those along with a lot of other sets. All loose years ago. I see they have gone up in price.
I'm just now realizing your shop is only an hour and a half from me. Will have to make the drive up there sometime! How neat.
That blue odd piece is from a Kenner girder and panel building set.
wow to hear about the price at what the star wars space station goes for as i have one in near mint condition with original box. I have 100's od original star wars toys that are just sitting in a box in my attic waiting to be gone through
FOUNDING THAT STAR WARS TOY AT GOODWILL IS SO AWESOME AND COMPLETE IN THE BOX, GREAT FOUND!!
Milo and Ruby 2020
Luck on that find at that price point,, Goodvibes in the shop,, resonate with us & influence us Positively,, Thank You Pete, Vicky, Adrian, & dude with pile of packing paper or,, yeah, well,, EazyItUp Guy's & Lady...
You could pick up any missing peeves on ebay and sell a complete set. You could probably find the instructions to print out.
SUPER AWESOME 6.99 FIND!!! WOOHOOO!!! Love it!
That blue piece of plastic was a support for an old construction building set. Not part of the star wars package. Nice job!
Now THAT was a fun video!! Thanks for posting.
Haha "Shipping on top" Love it friend! TFS Bubba!
What an awesome find at a Goodwill. I could never be so lucky
Pokemon DS and Spiderman PS4 are good pickups! Milo likes to be near printer. Star Wars Death Star is amazing find! Nice to see how Vicki built Death Star.
In Canada our goodwill charges EBay prices for items, at least in Windsor. The StarWars item would be at least 80$ , no joke.
That little light blue girder-looking thing that doesn't look like it belongs, doesn't. It's from a building construction toy for making like skyscrapers and whatnot. I forget the exact name but I had that toy set from that era. Was fun, but no idea if it's collectable since I can't remember the name.
Yeah.. Look at that elevator going up and down. LOL!!! LOL!!!
Great find with the Star Wars box Pete!
Some of that Star Wars stuff brings big money!!
You can heat the tape with a hot air blow drier and it heats up the glue to the point you can take any tape or stickers off without damaging anything
Nice find, that Star Wars Death Star. I sold just the box for $110. I then sold all the parts individually over time.
Chop shop, I can't stand sellers that do that. Keep it together as it was
Wow i never been so invested in a video, great find
Just an FYI...It's pronounced Mercy-a...…..Laura Mercier. Also yes it is great stuff.
I absolutely loved Milo....now I love Honey and Ruby.
I liked the shipping on top ;) my favorite part @16:17 Gotta roll with the punches and not get dragged down by the small things (broken receiver) thats why Pete wins. Great video
Great video Pete! It was great to see you with a vintage toy because that is something that I specialize in. That was a nice score and yes you can peace out these old vintage toys for a lot of money so pick up old sets even if they are not complete. I also have the Rollo printer and now you can get it at Amazon prime for $169.99 with free shipping.
What an awesome score! Unbelievable!
I had this toy!! Great memories, fun video for me!
If Pete were in Star Wars he would be making movies about diving in that trash compactor 😂 Shipping on Top™️
Shipping on Top trade mark LOL. Cheers !!
Vicki rocks! I use a hair dryer to help lift tape/price tags etc...
Stars Wars, good find Pete, Everybody loves Star wars. Glad Miss Vicki found that missing support, everybody likes complete things. That rope thing is amazing what they may get for it. Was that Brian the Janitor? LOL. Thank - U for another cool unboxing Video. Cheers !!***.
Pete them applifier sell for $35 and up just for parts or repair and you can park them out for even more then what they sell for as a working unit
How exciting! I just love how you guys work together and find the coolest things rescuing them and turning a super profit.
Use a hair dryer on the tape for a minute or so and gently pull it will come off clean
