Its like as soon as the stealth kill is executed, the game detects what is underneath the feet of the opponent. When the game detects the river under the troops feet it moves both player model and opponent to the river immediately

Yes. It seems that is how the "glitch" works.
Actually, I found it accidentally and when that happened, I laughed out loud. 😁
