It's really cool that they got Plusonica for the chorus. Ikura used to be a member of Plusonica before she joined as the vocalist for YOASOBI.
The lyrics of this song can easily be associated with the protagonist of the series Blue Period. but knowing the story of this girl and how she sang in the streets and participated in multiple auditions. There really is nothing left to do but associate it with her story and the well-deserved success she has at the moment. Ikura is an incredible singer and she deserves all the success in the world for all her efforts and never giving up despite everything..!
The clarity in Ikura's voice is so amazing.
She had some songs on her own channel from back when she was younger but they have been removed now - I remember there was a cover 'Kimi no Na wa' (theme from 'Your name'), I'm sad I didn't save it.

The outline of "Blue Period" is as follows.

Amazing observation from you too. The magic Yoasobi do is make everyone feel "it sounds so freakin good!". The choices both Ayase and Ikura make in each note is art itself. Both are so skilled in their own part they can pretty much play around it. The more you listen to Yoasobi, you find out Ikura supresses vibrato ALOT. It adds so much to that clear like water feel to it. Most singers are very obvious when going in and out of falsetto, some even make it obvious on purpose. Ikura is doing it 180 opposite to how everyone else sings, hence the refreshing feeling.

I reccomend you check out milet, Aimer, Lilas Ikuta - Omokage (produced by Vaundy) on the first take. It has the main vocalist of yoasobi and is a really fun performance!
I found out Milet after this song (I'm obsessed with Aimer) and instantly felt in love with her voice! Her Fly High performance in TFT was on different level!
If you was at the concert you would see the keyboard player with bob cut dancing and headbang so hard but in this she is so calm and collect that I almost didn't recognize her lul... she vibed real hard tho
