Ragnarok ( New Zealand) Lea Maalfrid - vocals Ramon York - vocals, guitar, synthesizer Ross Muir - bass Mark Jayet - drums Andre Jayet - mellotron, synthesizer, keyboards, drums
I actually saw Ragnarok in a Wellington Pub (Shamrock or Thistle?) Some pub in Thorndon anyway, and Lea Was on Vocals. That must have been 1975 and I would have only been 14 or 15. I remember them mostly for 'Fire in the Sky'. They were very under-appreciated in their day, but so were all the other Prog related bands like Ticket, Human Instinct etc
In 1976 Lea Maalfrid left the band, this song is from "Nook". Notice the absence of a female singer in the clip as well :-) Nice song but I like the 1975 version of the band better.
Hi Sue, yes they had the first album re-released on CD, try JB hifi they were selling it here in Chch, I maybe able to get a copy of the second album for you on CD also 👍
RIP Dad/Andre. Now flying high in the butterfly sky xx

Close - the album was "Nooks" - I liked the band after Lea left, they had a more rocky feel, Lea was a bit more arty, (still a gifted muso).
Hi Lomedae, you're find some of Lea Maalfrid own music on UA-cam
What an incredible band. I used to have cassettes of two albums but they didn't survive. Were these ever released since and where can you get them?
