The results you are getting here and at the speed you are getting them is insane! Gotta get at least one of these 😅 big fan of both channels, much love from BHAM 🤘🏼
You know I've got the SPL software version, UAD version, and hardware - I think they all sound a bit different. I don't know if I'm articulate enough to describe the differences other than the software feels more subtle than the hardware.
Man I needed this on a record I just mix & mastered, cause the instruments were recorded at home by musician who aren't the best at recorder. Still glad I have it now. Amazing info!!!!!!!!!!
Would love to see if SPL’s transient shaper will be anything like this on the new Karno Sepia platform. Being able to recall settings on analog gear would be crazy
Hey Andrew I just bought a klark teknik 1176 compressor and I was wondering if you could tell me do you use it before EQ or after when tracking into EQ and compression
Depends on the signal. You want the signal feeding the compressor to be solid, so EQing before can help control how the compressor responds (especially low frequencies). Compressors with sidechain capabilities let you take this further since the sidechain signal can be EQed separately from the signal you’re processing. For final tone shaping, post-compression EQ is more predictable since you’re not fighting how the compressor is responding to those changes on the EQ.
Smash the like button every time I say "incredible".. lol
i was really impressed when you turned the sustain DOWN. wow
The degree and ease of control vs the impact on the sound is incredible.
ayyy love the drumbrute hahaha
You're going to make me spend more money...
Great vid as always. Interested in trying the 500-series version, any thoughts on the differences between the 19" and 500-series?
I've yet to try the 500 version but I do love that it has a mix knob on it! Also a lot cheaper just to get 1.
@@itsstudiotime That's what I thought too, a mix knob seems interesting... Thanks!

Would have loved to hear that on a mix bus…
How do you feel the hardware transient designer compares to the Software version?

I use the hell out of the plugin versions of these, but the hardware sounds really nice
Transient designer sounds great. Does what the smack attack plugin does… but….its analog 💪🏿lol
Thanks Andrew. Learning a lot from you and your videos!
Yeah Drummer Simon Phillips of Toto and Protocol has a Transient Designer in his studio that he use Phantom Recording studio
hi iam an aspiring artist whenever i feel like quiting because of less exposure i see you and i dont know why You help me in a lot of ways
Found your channel by accident, very informative though I do not have studio like you do, but I learn alot from you 🙏😘
Amazing! incredible what a transient design so effectively does without touch a compressor!
Man I needed this on a record I just mix & mastered, cause the instruments were recorded at home by musician who aren't the best at recorder. Still glad I have it now. Amazing info!!!!!!!!!!
It's really incredible. And I'm just listening to the phone speakers. Wow

Loving the new videos but kind of missing the a frame room
Wow!
WOW!!!👀

Depends on what i'm doing, but generally EQ post compressor.
