Outstanding band!
Man he sounds so much like some famous musician, I can't put finger on it. Great band, tight. Blue Frog,and idea what model that Gibson he's playing is. I've never seen one with just one volume and one tone before. Very cool...and thanks for sharing
Saw them in Nanaimo, bought the CD, great songs
I've seen them dozens of time, but I remember one particular concert at the QE where during one of Tom's solos he sat down on the edge of the stage and played for 10 mins while the band just improvised behind him…it was incredible. Shame him and Jack have had such a terrible fallout that they hardly speak to each other. I saw Jack playing with his little band at a strip mall in Victoria (where Jack has lived for years now) Jack has a great voice, but rarely got featured with the PBB. Loved his version of Buzzard Luck. Years ago while working on the film Whale Music...we had a scene where there were there was a reluctant reunion of old musicians...and 3 of them were played by Tom Lavin, Jim Burns, Randy Bachman...I've never been star struck in this business but I was that day.
