    5:56 The hopper will still get locked even with the target block there because it doesn't actually redirect the redstone away from the hopper. You will need to use something like a button or trapped chest to redirect the redstone instead

      I saw that as I was editing X] Thanks for the fixes!
      I also noticed redirecting takes power away from that repeater, but to fix that add a dust on top of the corner block. Whoops :X

    Thank you for another excellent video. Just a suggestion for your observer elevator, the stack of observers looking down, every other one can be replaced with redstone dust making it slightly cheaper for resources with no lack in performance.

      Oo! Good idea!!!! Didn't even think about that! You got the big brain ideas! :DD

      How would you do this? A slab and redstone? Or redstone torches

      @@Sekai_ikigai Based on the stack of observers all facing down, leave the bottom observer in place and remove every other observer then placa a redstone dust on the red spot of the remaing observers.

    Wouldnt a simple hopper clock with a specific number of items be the cheapest/compact option to add to the existing clock depending on how tall it is?

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  3 місяці тому

      @@kylehodson8542 You could totally do that as well! Main problems would be; for a regular hopper clock it would need to "charge up" before counting down. Or an etho clock with an rs latch would avoid the need to "charge" before staying on, but would bring into question if items were sporadic or a constant flow. If constant flow that would work perfectly, but if sporadic it would either flip the rs latch too soon, or prevent it from charging up.
      Really all depends on what you're using it forrrrrr.
      Some ppl just slap an infinite clock on there & call it good lolol but i like to avoid that to cut down on clicking & lag X]]]

    Hey and I was curious is there a way to make a item sorting system that can sort stackable and non stackable items but at different intervals

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  7 місяців тому

      Maybe! Not exactly sure what you mean, but you can easily tile stackables & nonstackables next to each other, yes! Like on a gold farm you can sort the swords into 1, then the nuggets, ingots, & flesh into their own individuals all off of the same line.
      Or if you mean sorting different nonstackables; that is more difficult but somewhat doable with various crafting type stations like bookshelves, brewing stand, etc. Or allays I believe can sort specific non-stackables, but im not 100% on that.
      I ramble about various things a bit in this video
      ua-cam.com/video/bjW10z2DZ1U/v-deo.htmlsi=Wkb6ExAERYnhX-0T
      But if I didn't answer your question, ask me again and maybe my slow brain will come up with a better answer :D

      @OmLedu it's ok and the question I was asking is there a way to sort items of the same type that can be stack and then a few seconds later sort the items that can't be stack

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  7 місяців тому

      @@travislapham3479 Can you give an example of how you're going to use it?
      Are you trying to like; sort both types of items from a single container? Like if you have a chest with eggs and swords. 1st sort out the eggs, then sort the swords after a delay?

    • @travislapham3479

      @@OmLedu something like that

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  7 місяців тому

      @@travislapham3479 hmmm So you don't want it to sort swords & items at the same time, but 1st sort all the stackables... Let me think.... The 1st thing that comes to mind is just increase the distance between the stackable and non stackable sorter cells. Or, lock one of the input's hoppers located after the stackable cells, then have it unlock once there are no more items in the line. Like comparator looking at the hopper before the standard sorter cell that is locking a hopper after the sorting cells. Maybe have a chest where all the non-sorted items end up & lock the hopper under that. That way it doesn't dump the swords, until all items have passed by the initial line and through the sorter cells.
      Other than that.... Maybe you could have stackable sorter & non-stackable sorter on a circular line, but have the non-stackable locked by a timer that starts when it 1st notices items in the line. But that would be hard to get to work for varied input amounts.

    The observer one isn’t working for me because it isn’t lossless :(

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  Місяць тому

      Most people go with the observer design because it can be silent & lossless. But i always go with the extender if I want it to be lossless just to be cheap, easy & lag protected.
      It could be lag, but I would wonder if something is slightly incorrect. Where are items idling? & are they building up, or is it just an item or 2?
      Flush it out, then put 1 item in & see where it gets stuck. The issue should be around that location. If it gets stuck like halfway up and nothing is different, then it's most likely lag. But you might be able to increase the delay on the clock to have the observers ping 2ce in order to bypass a lag issue.
      Is it on a laggy server, or have you used portal ticking gold farms allot on the world?
      It coooould also be bedrock dropper placement. That shouldn't really affect anything, but the droppers should be placed from bottom to top. If at some point you broke and replaced a dropper in the middle then break and replace all the droppers from bottom to top. (In bedrock the order droppers are placed is the order they activate if activating simultaneously)
