Understandable about your love for Robins, Nicole… Birds called Killdeers started to fly and sing their song right at the exact moment the pastor started praying at my mom’s funeral. What are the odds that the Killdeer was one of my mom’s favorite birds? ♥️
I have to admit…I do have a subscription to Birds and Bloom but if I find that there are just too many hard decisions about which pictures to use I have been known to get to the book store to buy a second copy. It doesn’t happen every issue but when I just am having a crisis I do get an extra copy. People leave free magazines on the “free table” at my senior center but I have never seen a Birds and Bloom there.
I have cardinals in my back yard. I have seen blue jays, morning doves, humming birds, wood peckers a red tail hawk and turkey vulture and some other bird with yellow in it . I'm a bird watcher too.
Your birds and blooms book is one of my favorites. Can't wait to see you play in it again! Looking forward to a nice boring night with hopefully no idiots with fireworks to scare my girl.
We are bird lovers my husband & I, Nicole. My husband feeds the outside birds every day and is in charge of the Hummingbird Feeder. Me, iv got pet birds…Lovebirds, Parakeets, and Finches. As for tonight, I’ll be here in my chair with 2-3 cats on my lap on this thing or gluing. I don’t get to bed until 1am because I have 9 indoor cats and 1 is a Special Needs cat.. I choose to go to bed at this time because I need some quiet time to myself.. I get very little sleep but that’s what I do.. Rescue cats and since all my HUMAN kids are grown and out of the house, these cats are my Babies now. ♥️

I have that issue of Birds and Blooms. And those scissors ✂️ and I love them too. Hopefully I will see what you do with those images. I have not harvested any yet. Thx❤❤❤👍
Nicole - If you sink your blade in the middle of the cut instead of cutting from the edge of the paper it won't rip or make a rough cut at the edge. So you don't put the track down. You put the blade about halfway up, then put the track down, which sinks the blade and then you cut from the middle to each edge. I hope that makes sense, it's really hard to explain it!
I actually use the necklace ads in Birds in Blooms quite often. There's been some really pretty ones. I also use the folded order forms and glue on those in multiple different ways. I put some in my current glue book made out of flower catalogs for different sized pages. And the envelopes make for really great pockets.
Happy New Year Nicole! I want to thank you for getting me hooked on Gluebooking. I also want to thank you for introducing me to the Birds & Booms magazine. Back in March I signed up for a 2 year subscription and I have loved them I was not 4 months into my subscription when I ordered a "Gift Subscription" under my husband's name.....that wa6 8 have have 1 copies so I don't have to hmmm and haaaa over which side to use. 1 copy is for the front sides and the other is for the backs. (Sometimes I end up with dupes of certain beauties....perfect for swapping, RAKs and give-aways)
FYI Michael's arts and crafts store has organizers on sale till the 10th or 11th January. I bought a large clear case that holds 16 of the 4" x 6" photo boxes for around $13!!! 70% off! This is the only time a year that I've seen them at 70% off.
I'M OBSESSED with those!! I even got Bob obsessed with them hahahhaa. He keeps all his meat smoking recipes on 4x6 index cards and keeps them in one of those boxes.

Yes!!! It’s technically poo but doesn’t smell like it. Inside is things like animal bones and stuff. Now that I think about it, I think I was in 5th grade when we had to dissect them!

Nicole, put a scrap piece of paper under the paper you are cutting in your trimmer when the blade is dull you will get a clean cut.
