I enjoyed the video and some points were true. I’m from Poland and my husband is Moroccan, a Berber from Atlas Mountains. He’s a great man, he can cook and he makes mint tea just like the man in the video, he loves dancing and singing and he loves kids even more. He prays five times a day and wears western clothes as well as traditional Moroccan clothes, although we live in Europe. He’s very intelligent, open-minded and hard-working, though sometimes he still have problems with german punctuality :D. He’s loving, caring and he has a big golden heart, he loves helping others. Although we don’t agree on everything and sometimes argue just like every other couple does, I could not have wished for a better husband. But also remember that not all the people are the same. There are good ones and bad ones everywhere. And to all of you who are thinking about marrying a Moroccan man (or ANY man :P ) Don’t judge by the looks only, look deep into the heart. Accept him as he is, his way of life, religion, tradition, culture. Don’t try to change him. If you think he NEEDS to change it simply means this person is NOT for you. And if you hope he will change for you, you will end up bitterly disappointed. Show him much tolerance and respect AND expect the same from him! Both scientific studies and individual tests support the idea that North Africans were culturally Arabized, not demographically invaded by Arabs. This makes total sense historically as well. Why would Arabs come in very large numbers to North Africa? They have fertile lands right next in Syria, Iraq, Persia, etc. There weren't even enough Arabs to populate all of North Africa, which is 10 times larger than Arabia, and most of the later was not even occupied back then. Where would all the Amazigh people have gone, if they had been replaced, knowing that ancient historians such as Strabo and Herodotus mention that they existed in very large numbers and occupied the whole territory since ancient times. In short, the population replacement hypothesis has holes everywhere however you look at it. It's only maintained in some people's minds because of decades of brainwashing by the Arabist ideology. Even former Arabists like Moroccan intellectual Abdallah Laroui have changed their mind about this topic, and now maintain the opinion that Moroccans, and North Africans in general are mainly of Amazigh origin.

We are Amazigh anyway not a Berbers wé didn't come from maly or what ever they think we r the original people of morocco Algeria etc.... our language is Tamazight and so many more things about us for the dresses it's allso different

I enjoyed the video and some points were true. I’m from Poland and my husband is Moroccan, a Berber from Atlas Mountains. He’s a great man, he can cook and he makes mint tea just like the man in the video, he loves dancing and singing and he loves kids even more. He prays five times a day and wears western clothes as well as traditional Moroccan clothes, although we live in Europe. He’s very intelligent, open-minded and hard-working, though sometimes he still have problems with german punctuality :D. He’s loving, caring and he has a big golden heart, he loves helping others. Although we don’t agree on everything and sometimes argue just like every other couple does, I could not have wished for a better husband.
But also remember that not all the people are the same. There are good ones and bad ones everywhere.
And to all of you who are thinking about marrying a Moroccan man (or ANY man :P )
Don’t judge by the looks only, look deep into the heart. Accept him as he is, his way of life, religion, tradition, culture. Don’t try to change him. If you think he NEEDS to change it simply means this person is NOT for you. And if you hope he will change for you, you will end up bitterly disappointed. Show him much tolerance and respect AND expect the same from him! Don’t try to change yourself for him if you don’t really want to, pretending being someone you’re not in the long run will only make you unhappy.

We Moroccans have it good and many of the new age hipsters are doing anything to get that 'simpler' lifestyle. But of course Morocco has modern cities and other people..its very diverse. Both scientific studies and individual tests support the idea that North Africans were culturally Arabized, not demographically invaded by Arabs. This makes total sense historically as well. Why would Arabs come in very large numbers to North Africa? They have fertile lands right next in Syria, Iraq, Persia, etc. There weren't even enough Arabs to populate all of North Africa, which is 10 times larger than Arabia, and most of the later was not even occupied back then. Where would all the Amazigh people have gone, if they had been replaced, knowing that ancient historians such as Strabo and Herodotus mention that they existed in very large numbers and occupied the whole territory since ancient times.
In short, the population replacement hypothesis has holes everywhere however you look at it. It's only maintained in some people's minds because of decades of brainwashing by the Arabist ideology. Even former Arabists like Moroccan intellectual Abdallah Laroui have changed their mind about this topic, and now maintain the opinion that Moroccans, and North Africans in general are mainly of Amazigh origin.
