I never had a PSP so I decided to use PPSSPP. I'm glad I did this game is a blast! I always loved watching Persona 3 and actually playing it, although it being a watered down version, it's a bunch of fun. And I think it might have been better to start with this version because of getting lost and junk. Either way Persona 3 Is fun as hecc
I lost my charger and its not in the memory card anymore. I dont remember if I uninstalled it or if it was in another memory card. I'd play it again though. I literally forgot the story so it would be like a new experience to me again.
Soulette I think that P3P is a batter game overall because you can actually control your party members, change party's gear from the menu and it has a female route that feels like an entirely new game and also f*ck THE ANSWER!

I was thinkingh of trying out persona 3, should I play the ps2 FES version or the psp version?
PSP, since you can control your party, and the AI from the other versions are... Not-as-good
PS2 FES version, you'll be able to get more from the story itself, also everything is cheaper and easier (except for dungeon bosses, have fun with em)

@@awoga2299 I am pretty certain that the AI in the PSP version is far worse than the FES version. For example, Akihiko and Aigis will never use buffs/debuffs even if you set them on Heal/Support on the PSP version.
Also the FES version has some additional orders like "Knock down"

Honest question here: I have a copy of both FES and Portable, and I've never played Persona 3 before (though I have played P4G and P5). I've heard that Portable lacks the anime and in-engine cutscenes, in favour of VN-style scenes, but also that it adds commandable party members. However, I've also heard that FES is a lot harder (a good thing, in my opinion), and that it adds a 30+ hour postgame that Portable lacks. FES also has explorable maps outside of Tartarus. However, Portable is... well, portable, a really handy fact for me, personally.
What I'm basically asking is: which one is best for a first-ever playthrough? I feel like the lack of in-engine cutscenes is a pretty big blow, but so is not being able to control your own party. Is there any particular thing I'm missing? Something that's a total make-or-break feature in one or the other?
Mackenzie Cleland I played first PSP version. Sure I regret that there are no cutscenes and 3D models running around and talking. But I think I would've dropped the game at some point if I didn't have a choice to control teammates. Sooo, I would still go for PSP version.

FES is the better one
Portable is better for those who already know the story, since the lack of animation makes certain... very important scenes lack impact, like orpheus awakening. Also, portable dumbs down tiredness and makes money a lot more abundant. It also adds direct control, but it does not compensate for that in any way, so expect almost no Challenge, save Elizabeth.

Yeah, I also wanted to play portable but without allowing myself to use direct commands, to get a small challenge to it, but since they remove things like Knock Down mode, that's just needless torture. So i'm now gonna have to get a ps2 emulator, since mine is broken. Anyhow, hope you enjoy it! It is a very good game, and I'll be disappointed if you don't come back here in a couple of months saying that Junpei is the true best girl!
