I hope you guys are doing fine.
This is a video I had wanted to make a long time back but due to the fear of getting into some controversies I delayed it.
In this I have briefly explained about us (INDIAN GORKHAS) and our contributions in many different fields.
If you liked it, then please don't forget to like this video and share it with your friends.
I have missed many more Indian Personalities in this so please don't get disheartened if someone who know didn't come up here, based on the response of this video there'll be a part coming up in a couple of months :)

Thank you bhai for your short but very relevant explanations, but there is one important fact you have missed and that is Sikkim was merged with India in 1975 by 97 percent Gorkhali vote where the current Chief MINISTER Dr.P.K.Chamling is a Gorkhali Tribe and the Darjeeling hill was originally hired by the British from Sikkim and developed the region with the help and labour of the Gorkhali people whose off springs work in the tea gardens even today and they were regarded as British subjects while the land was British Sikkim. The British had a small aggression against Sikkim in 1961 by which it took the rest of the surrounding Darjeeling hills as well as Siliguri and surrounding plains region. After the independence of India the British Sikkim region was called ( Excluded Area ) meaning NOT PART OF INDIA and the Administrative Function of the region was entrusted to Bangal. But in 1954/55 Bangal without even the knowledge of the local inhabitants of Darjeeling Dooars region made an ABSORBED ACT for their advantage and snatched the region very unfairly because the Bangalis had immense influence in the then Congress Government. But in fact it is the land of Sikkim. Now the mainland Sikkim itself was made the 22nd State of the Union of India in 1975, but very dishonest and crafty politicians (again Congress Party Goverment) did not reunify these regions with the mainland Sikkim. The main reason why there is Gorkhaland demand in India is precicely the colonialism behaviour of Bangal over the land and people of this region. If the Indian TOP POLITICIANS are honest and democratic, they must create a Bharatiya Gorkhaland made up of Darjeeling Dooars region reunified with Sikkim and declare it the Bharatiya Gorkhaland so that Indian Gorkhali people may live with pride in their own State just as any other ethnic people of India.

We respect India and Indian people also Nepali speaking community of India. However, the term Gorkha, Gorkhali is used vaguely by people of India. Gorkha is a district in Nepal first and the Kingdom of Gorkha is another way of saying Nepal. Outside Nepal, Gurkha is a term especially referring to soldiers of Nepal and Gorkhali to their family i.e another way of saying citizens of Nepal. So Gorkhali means a current citizen of Nepal or People moved from Nepal and living in another country. If a person says I am not from Nepal my forefather doesn't belong to Nepal then he can't be Gorkha. We can accept Indian Gorkha to the soldier from Nepal going to India but Indian Gorkhali is a very pejorative term Which means a citizen of Nepal at the same time citizen of India If a person says my forefather only from India. If a person says I am Gorkhali it actually a tribute to Nepal like saying I am from Nepal. If you are saying proud to be Indian and saying Gorkhali Indian dual citizen is very confusing.

Just to clear something that may confuse people. Nepal is not just a country but tradition and culture. I agree that Nepali are everywhere in India and Nepali are in country such as butan, Tibet and mayanmar. Gurkha word itself mean protector of cow. It sort of conflicting with India mainly because 7 state of India allows slaughter of cow. Which is like a mother figure to Nepali speaking population in Nepal and outside. Gurkha is sortend and full name is gaurakha ( gau rakchak). Cow being a mother figure and the representation of cow as mother earth help people who believe in Nepali tradition call any part of earth home. It more like all earth is my home not just one country. Reason why Nepali in mayanmar join mayanmar army and in India join indian army vice versa. Nepal is not just a country but a tradition. It has represented itself in Mahabharat and even if Gorkha unified Nepal. The king did not name it Gorkha but rather Nepal. A word that represents all the people. From Himalaya to valley to the plains.

106,399 (+16.86%), Sikkim - 382,200 (+12.87%), Arunachal Pradesh - 95,317 (+00.42%), Himachal Pradesh - 89,508 (+27.37%),
Maharashtra - 75,683 (+19.22%), Meghalaya - 54,716 (+4.91%), Manipur - 63,756 (+38.61%), Nagaland - 43,481 (+27.06%), and Mizoram -
8,994 (+0.51%).[5] Apart from this, there are additional speakers of languages such as Limbu (40,835), Rai (15,644), Sherpa (16,012)
and Tamang (20,154). So the combined strength of Nepali and the other four Gorkha languages comes to 3,018,813.
