  • The 812 is the best car on the road today - there, I said it.
    It covers all bases: want it to be a hooligan? No problem, say goodbye to your rear tyres. Want to pulverise Europe on a 12 hour drive? No worries, see you in Monaco.
    We sell a lot of Novitec exhausts for 812s, the same goes for wheels, lowering springs, carbon etc. - but once in a blue moon we get a customer who goes “yep, I’ll have the lot” and the excitement levels go through the roof.
    We’ve only done a handful of these “Christmas tree” spec modifications, and they have been - without question - the coolest cars we’ve worked on…and we work on a LOT of cars.
    Looking for this set-up or any other supercar/luxury car tuning get in touch!

    Your comments on Ferrari marketing photos showing lowered cars is spot on. In real life the OEM wheels are too small, the front and rears are the same size (at 20") and waaaay too much wheel well shows as if you were buying an SUV. This is a real weakness. Your 21" front/22" rear with I'm guessing 1/2" of lowering (?) looks awesome. The car squats down and looks much more formidable. Well done.

      We're glad you agree Jeffry! When you put their marketing images next to a customer car it's pretty damning.

      Well, if you like a ton of understeer, sure go with the heavy chariot sized wheels. If you want the car to really perform, lower it 15 mm on Novi springs, give it a proper alignment and set the tyre pressures correctly.

      Maybe dealers should simply do a proper job of getting the cars ready for the clients. Ferrari expects dealers to set ride height and alignment as part of getting the car ready for delivery. My 812 was 9 mm too high from factory but it was taken care of. Unfortunately most dealers don't bother.
      Look at this video.

      That's me taking delivery of my SF90 in December. It was shot prior to doing the PDI alignment as I just wanted to see it despite it being winter. The front was only 3 mm too high, so very close, but the rear needs to be lowered 12 mm, and the alignment was all over the place.

    does it affect warranty?

    • @AB-80X
      @AB-80X 2 роки тому

      Yes, in theory. Decatting can void warranty on the driveline, but some dealers will accept the sports cats. In essence it's a bit per dealer basis. Also, if your bonnet latch fails and you need that done under warranty, they obviously cannot claim it to be because of the cats. However, a tool of a dealer might put it down to stiffer suspension etc.

      The other reply isn't far off! Essentially it's a case by case basis, speak to your dealer for a firm answers. Some have different approaches to others.

      @@Scuderiacarparts How is that rear spoiler attached? Does it come with some kind of adhesive or is it bolted in place?
      Also, how do you do the rear alignment? Computer or traditional adjustment like you'd do in the front?
