This is awesome. I am a recent civil engineer graduate and currently have been struggling to find a full time opportunity even with a great GPA, 2 internships, and lots of school involvement. I wont give up and this definitely brings back great memories as we tackled our senior design project. We were in charge of designing a pedestrian tunnel!!!
Omg! I am a raising senior and you’re making me feel scared with such detailed drawings. I am doing a Construction Management I get ship, and I know how professional drawings look like. I can tell your drawings are in that level!
haha thanks man, its all thanks to my internship. I wouldn't be too worried about details. I think what most professors are looking for is you applying the principle ideas behind design. Good luck on your upcoming semester!
Hey Daniel.... New subscriber here.. Just curious., What are the specs of your PC..Your CPU, GPU, Graphics card etc. I am Civil and Structural Engineer who's trying to switch from project Management/Field Engineering to design or architecture... Thanks Awesome Channel btw.
Hey, I am a second year Civil Eng student. I'd like to know something. Do you keep a portfolio of things you've designed on Revit? Do you recommend it?
The only things you would ever reference/import an old revit project from would be the details and maybe some custom revit families. So to answer your question, yes I save notes and files for projects I work on in notion. Sometimes they’re extensive and sometimes they’re empty. I usually use it just to track when a project was last worked on and what edition of revit the project is on. Highly recommend finding a system to file your notes, digitally or physically. (Digital, being my preference)
I have been wanting to buy a tablet for notes and just to physically use programs. I’m also studying civil and I can’t decide between iPad or Microsoft Windows. Do you think apple has a good base for civil engineers? Or do you wish you went with a windows?
I have a windows computer and a macbook, but if you only have one option I would go with a windows laptop that can run civil CAD programs. Since most industry standard programs run on windows. Aside from that note, I love taking notes on my ipad. It's honestly the best tablet I've used (to be fair, it is not that many but still).
Sir please help me in finding good field,,sir I want to become a structural engineer,so which software I learn,I want become like you sir,so please tell me how can I become like U sir,, please reply back sir
Sorry dude, I dont think im in a position to train someone right now but you're definitely doing the right thing by asking for someone to help you. I'd recommend someone who's been a licensed engineer for some time. Good luck man!👍🏼
Oh great bro!! I'm now 21 and i have ruined a lot of my time during this pandemic!! I'm in Civil Engineering Department, i have left behind a lot of topics, i didn’t have knowledges of them!! Because of online chasses!! My cgpa also downed by 3.1 !!
Thanks! My group recorded a Microsoft Teams meeting and we each took turns talking about each of our roles and our reports/drawings. But turns out all he wanted was a large pdf file with all our reports and drawing 😅

Hello, what is your position? Please tell me, after graduating from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, is it possible to work as a design engineer?
I’m a project engineer who works on commercial, residential, and multi family buildings on the eastern side of the US.
@@dmontenegro Did you study at the Faculty of Civil Engineering ?
@@emilgasanov19 idk what that is, I studied at a university that has an Engineering Program in the US.
@@dmontenegro Thank you very much for the answer! I just live in Kazakhstan and we have such faculties ( very narrow )
