Luria. One of the first few epics I got. She gets me to G4/Low plat arena every week with the freeze and block revive AOE. Shes also very strong for Doom Tower, Faction Wars, and most dungeons, especially Ice Golem.

Cool thing about Psylar is that she only manipulates the enemies turn meter so you can use her against Tormin in the arena without triggering his passive freeze skill.
The great thing about Vrask, and why he was auto build for me, is he doesn’t require books to reach his max effectiveness. 5 stars on him also gets you farther than you’d think, 6 stars only needed for end game of Vrask just for the extra hp (bigger heal)
Agree with this - Vrask is arguably better without books because you'd rather use his A1 than A2 for the turn meter anyway. He is still good at level 50 as he requires no accuracy for anything, so not having a banner isn't too bad.
i have vrask and grush the mangler, both at 50. i will move grush to 60 and leave vrask at 50. i play them together often and i like grush a good bit better. stats are stats but when 1 out performs the other in play constantly, you gotta go with the best.
There are a lot of support champs that you can keep at lvl 50. For low-mid spenders it is important to know which champs you must take to lvl 60 vs lvl 50. If they are just buffers/healers such as maso mage, gorgorab, vrask, High Katun, you can argue that they will be 90% as effective at 50 as they are 60. Debuffers/nukers are the champs you need to take to 60 for the tier 6 masteries and banners for acc.

Mausoleum mage was one of the first few epics I pulled and built. now im 8 months in and about lvl 65ish and still use him as one of my main supports in almost every area of the game. His kit is always usefull, his heal his great, and the def buff really make a big difference between living and dying, only thing I wish was the block debuffs was 2 turns, but it still helps alot :P
I know they’re not very well regarded, and not top tier/endgame or anything, but Zelotah and Romero both helped me a lot early/ mid game. When options are limited they can be very helpful.
What about when I already fully booked High Khatun and am about to get Arcmage Hellmut? I was a filthy dirty P2W dolphin for a month or so, too, so I have a lot of other good stuff like Krisk, Duchess, BEK, Sandlashed, etc and am wondering if I should really invest in Deacon??

Vergis was one of my first epics. Easy to book, put him in a shield set then he put my entire account on his shoulders and carried it through dungeons.
you should ask this hypothetical question when doing such vids "if I would pull ALL Epics at once, which ones would I max out first?" once for Whale Account and once for F2P Account and then make a list based on that. That makes it a lot more interesting. In fact, question to everybody here, if you had pulled ALL Epics and could only max out 5 of them, which 5 would that be?
Vergis was my first Epic and he carried my team for most of the dungeon content, and even in clan boss for awhile. If I made a new account today and he was my first Epic again, I'd 100% upgrade him as fast as possible.
Just finished maxing out Deacon. He is a game changer. I was completing FK19 about 85 to 90% of the time. Now I'm beating stage 20 consistently with him, Alure, Coldheart, Ursala the Mourner, and Ma'Shalled.
I think that's a good list. One champion I'd add is Lodric Falconheart. If you don't have a good shield champ he's a must build IMO as he's a permanent shield generator once his A3 is fully booked.
I use Ursula the Mourner in a lot of content, even in the arena ... I'm in high Gold 4. Shes a lot like sepulcher, but her aoe debuff and revive the entire team are insane.
Ursula has been the best addition to my team since Ma'Shalled. She is INCREDIBLE. She keeps everyone alive in everything. Every highest dungeon, every Nightmare Campaign level (paired with Ma'Shalled) for those 3 stars, and every CB battle. The BEST epic reviver in the game.
The guy you're sleeping on in Banner Lords is Oathbound. Pulled him early on and he was huge for me in early game. Defense champ, does decent damage, some turn meter, some CC, and an AOE decrease attack. Way better than Seneschal
I had ten 5 star food champs until last week. I maxed Skartorsis. Just got Visix, but researching first to see if she's worth it. I have Fu-Shan and Skartorsis that need books. I have Madame, so I haven't maxed Tayrel. Maxed Vergis... one of my first Epics. I have Fahrakin and Ghrush in my sparring pit. Maneater boosted my account in a bunch of areas! Steelskrull I've ignored besides leveling, might check him out. Dhukk also boosted my account... awesome! Vrask is in my vault... oops. Allure is at 50. Mausoleum Mage at 50. Seeker used daily. Gororab one of my favorites, Madame... no words. That's all I have.... slow rolling, but it's been a year, so it's been fun!
Ursula helped my account big time. I'm mostly free to play, I've bought some gems for masteries but other than that I'm grinding it out. Ursula has made my team survivable and is now a huge help in Doom tower. She is a huge boost to ATK of DEF champs and that revive is the best.
I haven't regretted upgrading Vergis. When I couldn't get Scarab king otherwise, he could solo it even at 5 stars. He is also an amazing spider tank. I don't use him anywhere else (okay, doom tower secret rooms), but the places he excels at, there are very little champions that can compare to him.

Fenax is very good..I use him in so many situations..He hits extremely hard ... his A1 on the ice golem is just awesome ... For me, Fenax is one of the underestimated heroes in the game ... A bit squishi though with Def and Lp no problem..Play it And Thanks for the Good Guides you do
Agree with most of the list. Considering that (except for the rewards) my first 2 epics were Vrask and Sinesha, I would say that they're both a must build. I did not even maxed out Kael, once I understood the mechanics of those two it became so easy to face most of the contents. Healer AoE on every hit and an AoE hitter with 2 healing skills. Not the fastest runs, but man they got to the end! So I would for sure put Sinesha among the must build...
Interesting selection and guide. I have intesting dilemma of pulling Madame, taking her to 60 - then pulled Tayrel, Stag Knight in rapid succession. (And after investing in Dagger for FW.) Sadly, on my abandoned FTP pulled Sepulchar Sentinel, Uugo, and Sanguina early on and found them great, until forced to give up. At least I have some of your recommends on main - Armina, Dhukk, MMonster etc. But a few skill/role needs left.
Poor Ash! He sets out to help everyone one that is struggling by narrowing down some epics for 'Build if pull', but there are so many great champs that the 'Auto-Build' pool is still over 50! ;-) Imagine a F2P trying to build even 1/2 these champs lol! I know it's kind of been done, but maybe next go around on a great idea like this, limit to max 1 per faction? (Still 14 champs at that rate) Maybe a Snub on Captain Temila? Strong Shield set, carry through all dungeons and double for FW
Dude I got Deacon about 2 weeks ago got him up to 5* 50 today. Had two five-star chickens got three duplicate rares up to five stars and took Zargala up to six stars instead of Deacon!!!! Literally seconds before watching your video too. Uuuuuhhhhggggg! I knew it!!!! 🤷♂️😁🤣 Oh well, he's next now! Awesome vid per usual Boss!

although Royal Guard can be good in the late game, investing in the early game did not work for me. enemy max hp is not that high for low level dungeons, so I didn't get any return for my investment. in the mid game, he's useful, but dies easily to enemy damage. it's hard to get enough hp,def,spd,atk,crit% and crit.d on this champion. even in the late game, I still don't have the gear to get his build right. I can choose high damage and decent speed, but low defense and hp, or some defense, but low damage. Tayrel is great, at any level and easier to build. safer bet.
I am free to play and Aox is huge! AoE att down and reduces turn meter by 20%. Amazing for waves and bosses. Heals are good on bosses. Poisons are good on bosses. His passive is huge on bosses. He is in every team I have except arena. I got super lucky and pulled Cardiel. Aox and Cardiel can 2 man all three normal scarabs... no shields. Its very fun seeing the debuffs go into the 40s and 50s of turns left.
FENAX - 1. unrevivable kill. 2. blocks def 3. blocks spd 4. blocks buffs 5. blocks cooldown he hits with a thump! dude is definately level 60 worthy. he will get important kills that wont come back to life.he is a true difference maker. he needs to hit in pos 3-4.
As someone who pulled Ursala and didn't even look up the new characters just reading her kit made me decide to build her cause she's crazy good. I'm glad you included her even though you were planning on just those other two banner lords.
It's interesting how you prefer Skullcrown over Sinesha. I'm a f2p player and I pulled Sinesha on my very first ancient shard received from daily reward. She always carried me through as my major nuker Campaign, Arena, Faction, and Doom Tower. 3 years later after getting other champs, she's still my go-to if I need to take down multiple enemies if no one else could. On another account, I excitedly have Skullcrown. She put nw down that she's not as strong and dies too much, not as good for me. Still, I've been trying for 2 years to get both on the same account to have the twins together
Seeker is great in Doom Tower Normal imo. 85% of Normal I just run Seeker with 4 fast attack based nukers (1 or 2 having some utility debuffs as well). Makes for some very fast clears on an early-mid game account. The final 10-20 floors I need to slow down and go a bit more balanced. And of course he's awesome in FW. One of my favorite Epics.
I know this game is moving forward a lot and has much to come, but has anyone noticed the third spot on the arena map? The words "the pinnacle" stands with a bare podium, almost seems like someday they might implement a third arena section for pvp alongside classic arena and tag team arena. Any thoughts? Obviously the big crystal tower is still locked in the dungeons section but I'm interested in seeing if they do anything with these areas.
Skull crown & Doompriest are the banes of my life. I always end up dropping the battle with them because I once put on auto because I got fed up. Come back with my coffee and they are still fighting after twenty minutes. I've learnt it's quicker and less stressful to surrender. Otherwise the battle could be going on to this day! 😂
: I just beat the Orgyn Faction crypt 21 with only 3 level 60 champions: Occult Brawler, Bellower, Drokgul the Gaunt with Gear Grinder and Grush the Mangler, I think a lot of people under rate Bellower. I use him against the waves in most Doom Tower floors, and Gear Grinder is absolutely amazing in the Faction Crypt, first off think of the value of a champion who can take you to 3 starring Faction Crypt 21 without even needing to invest in getting him to level 60! That's huge savings on resources! And again I should point out, Occult Brawler is not just a Clan Boss champion he was pretty much my only damage dealer on my whole Faction 21 team.
I am f2p and I must say Skullcrown, Deacon, Miscreated Monster are my best game changers. Its so hard to decide where you want invest but I love it. Its like playing survival game doesnt matter how long it takes important is to get there 😃 Still waiting for coldhearth or Royal Guard. Ash I hope you will get Deacon you will have So much fun with him !
So glad i found Ash, i only get to play a couple hours every couple of days but his advice is awesome, also i followed another content creator from the UK and after seeing his doom tower video on scarab telling people that they shouldn't be there if they cant beat that boss i looked for another creator to follow
I have Vergis. He has a unique ability not described anywhere as far as I know, in that if you position him correctly and attack the right opponents he will swipe at and score hits on 2 or 3 opponents with his supposedly attacks one enemy A1 using that oversized poke of his. Does anyone else see that? I also like his A2 Aegis buff ability as you choose which of your champions gets 4 buffs while the rest get one each, which puts a further complexity of making a good choice into it.
Where i Start playing in January with Raid. Ursula was on of my First Epics i got out of a Event. And i am soooo glad she is the Core of every of my Teams and is from Early to Midgame OP, on Endgame i cant say it. But for me she is AWEsome ^^. Dear Greets from Swiss
As a pay and ftp player I notice that focusing on faction wars as a ftp will force your resources to be spread thin as opposed to focusing on a pvp and cb and campaign n dungeons. So as a ftp I only focus on faction wars up to the 1st boss and I haven't heard them all yet and still my resources are thin because of that. Lessons there somewhere...
Juliana and Rowan are two Epics I would for sure build for Clan Boss, both those girls lay heavy damage, easily 2 million on Normal and hard setting. They're by far my two best in Clan Boss and i have a lot of solid champions..

Gorgorab is a must build mainly for the first 6 months of any new player’s time in this game if they pull him. And he’s an op reviver for that faction.
I have had stag Knight from the start of the game.. He is amazing. I use him in everywhere. I also run ursula too, in a regen set with great hp she does last and stays alive long enough to revive the whole team. Great champion
I think Rugnor Goldgleam should be on that list. He can apply and maintain Weaken + Decrease DEF consistently and also apply a leech on his A1. Great for CB and dungeons IMO
I have Fahrakin the Fat and Deacon Armstrong and yeah they are insane. And Ash if you pull Fahrakin you should do a guide on him, believe it or not he hits like a truck. I'm talkin 30k+ on his A1 and 80k+ on his A2.
To me, the only Champion that should be in this list is Seer, because the buff explosion is both unique and op. I don't think there's any other epic that is always a huge upgrade, no matter what you champions you already have and no matter what abilities you cannot cover with your current roster. To give an example I have in my vault and probably will never build: Dhukk, because I have Stag Knight, who does basically the same thing, I completed Orc faction wars, and I have Angar and Brago for aoe provoke. I also have Mausoleum Mage, Fahrakin, Tayrel, Vogoth and Hope from your list, all sitting in my vault at lvl 40 - I might still build some of them, but well - the last champions I built and completed are Scyl, Venus, Skullcrusher, Astralon and Arbiter and I will definitely build at Coldheart and Sepulcher next - and even after that, I'm not sure if one of those will be next, since I also have Turvold waiting in the vault, and Yoshi from the current event, and I completed Drokguls fragments last week (I'll summon him next week during the champion chase), and there's several champions I'd prioritize higher if I get them in the next 2 shard pull events. I spend about 25 bucks total on my account, none of that in the last 4 or 5 months - getting champions is not a big issue when you can do um clan boss and lvl 20 dungeons. So yeah, your no-questions-ask-list is still way too long from my point of view.
Im a F2P player, been playing for 2 months, close to 3 now, i have some epics but none of the ones listed, i tend to pull D rank ones (rankings from various websites). Such bs honestly
25:00 You dont need to build (book) Vrask unless you want more Damage output. Worst case scenerio is booking his A2 and reducing the number of times he uses his A1 - turn meter buff. So the general advice on Vrask is not to book him.
Oathbound, Ash, Oathbound is awesome for FW and dungeons. He can even be your Banner Lords damage dealer, esp. if you speedtune Stag Knight to go before him
Thenasil. I was lucky enough to pull Thenasil shortly after starting the game. He is completely amazing. His A3 Toxic Cloud is not the hardest hitting AoE attack like Ash said in the video, but with respect, I think that a big plus of the A3 Toxic cloud didn't get mentioned in the video....that is that it decreases all buffs on enemy by one turn. Also while talking of "Toxic Cloud", is it just me, or is not reasonable to expect an ability with a name like that to have some chance of laying poisons ?
Loved seeing deacon Armstrong on this list. I loved seeing him as he's the third champ i 6 stared. He's probably the only s tier champ I have. Going to make a video on him and how I he's been useful for my progression. Hopefully with this new shard event I'll be able to pull some more of these champs!
Ok agree on most but seriously? You didn't include: 1)Melga from the dwarves faction -> she can literally carry teams in ice golem, doom tower and faction wars. Check stew's videos and you will see what I mean 2) Anax from the undead (and u put vogoth?!?!, he is good but anax is a beast for FK, clan boss and even spiders if u lack the double weaken and decrease def. He is even good in doomtower against frost spider with his decrease accuracy and poisons plus self sustain) 3) Cardinal from the Sacred order and u instead put Sanguinia ???? Cardinal is hands down the best reviver and she has a great heal too. Not only she creates a whole archetype of attack teams in the arena modes just by herself, she can be combined with one more reviver for perma revives teams. 4) Fayne just for clan boss and spiders if you want to have at least one epic from every faction. She is good 5) Rugnor, really good, would replace Grizzled jar easily for him every day. Especially when Ai override arrives. As for Fenax, he is a beast. Put him in dmg and he can do wonders in clan boss, put him in destroy gear and melts the scarab, put him in some accuracy and block buffs or skills in an aoe, best a1 in the game and single target block revive in every turn. He is my best champion but I understand he requires some support and gear, so he is not auto lvl up if u are super early in the game.

First of all BIG thx for all your work put in all your videos, really great content and I am having fun watching it, which is really important :) I mean you are the reason I downloaded this game again after trying it for few months long time ago :)) But the main reason I am writing is to ask for help! I am in my second month on my new acc and there was a point where I was struggling because I did not have any healers and in champ summoning week I got "Mausoleum Make" "Apothecary", "Rector Drath" and "Pain keeper". Right now I am wasting energy by trying to mix them around my few dps champs and I cant pick those few for my main team. Cause when I watch videos bout them they are all good :D + I got I have "Tarshon" which I thought is aaa ok champ, nothing special. But after this video I am lost :D plz some advice ! tyy and GL !

Cannot agree more on Psylar. I was not necessarily hyped for her, ut i do not regret it! I built her in Stun set with very high speed, she's a DT & FW game changer, a real CC Freak
I love how whenever you start to list a top 5, another 20+ name are also added to the top 5 haha. Just a recommendation you could make a video the same way but using the Tiermaker website and grade all the Rare's, Epic's and Legendaries, that way you could have an easy to see top 5 or 10
my f2p is about the same age as your f2p account. I have both Royal Guard and Stagknight, got them on the last 2x event. My account is going to soar so fast. I've been saving all resources to power through thus fragment event, so they aren't leveled or booked yet.

36:50 Sentinel could make better use of the reflex set. And possibly outperform Jarl. Need to keep in mind, every champ that has only 2 skills is a possible candidate for the reflex set. e.g. My Stag Knight with a reflex set spams his A2 quite nicely.
I already have Skytouched Shaman build and I just unlocked vrask. Is one better than the other? Or should I use them both? Currently using Skytouches and apothecary

Mausoleum mage was one of the first few epics I pulled and built. now im 8 months in and about lvl 65ish and still use him as one of my main supports in almost every area of the game. His kit is always usefull, his heal his great, and the def buff really make a big difference between living and dying, only thing I wish was the block debuffs was 2 turns, but it still helps alot :P
Also, Rector Drath for star farming and CB.

How could you not mention Rector Drath? Draths heal, Veil, and revive abilities are amazing.
I know they’re not very well regarded, and not top tier/endgame or anything, but Zelotah and Romero both helped me a lot early/ mid game. When options are limited they can be very helpful.
Deacon Armstrong is such a game changer for a mild spender like me. Definitely book him up!

What about when I already fully booked High Khatun and am about to get Arcmage Hellmut? I was a filthy dirty P2W dolphin for a month or so, too, so I have a lot of other good stuff like Krisk, Duchess, BEK, Sandlashed, etc and am wondering if I should really invest in Deacon??
I have dupe of him, should I bother booking both?

Vergis was one of my first epics. Easy to book, put him in a shield set then he put my entire account on his shoulders and carried it through dungeons.
you should ask this hypothetical question when doing such vids "if I would pull ALL Epics at once, which ones would I max out first?" once for Whale Account and once for F2P Account and then make a list based on that. That makes it a lot more interesting.
In fact, question to everybody here, if you had pulled ALL Epics and could only max out 5 of them, which 5 would that be?

Vergis was my first Epic and he carried my team for most of the dungeon content, and even in clan boss for awhile. If I made a new account today and he was my first Epic again, I'd 100% upgrade him as fast as possible.
Just finished maxing out Deacon. He is a game changer. I was completing FK19 about 85 to 90% of the time. Now I'm beating stage 20 consistently with him, Alure, Coldheart, Ursala the Mourner, and Ma'Shalled.
I think that's a good list. One champion I'd add is Lodric Falconheart. If you don't have a good shield champ he's a must build IMO as he's a permanent shield generator once his A3 is fully booked.
I use Ursula the Mourner in a lot of content, even in the arena
... I'm in high Gold 4. Shes a lot like sepulcher, but her aoe debuff and revive the entire team are insane.
Ursula has been the best addition to my team since Ma'Shalled.
She is INCREDIBLE. She keeps everyone alive in everything. Every highest dungeon, every Nightmare Campaign level (paired with Ma'Shalled) for those 3 stars, and every CB battle.

The guy you're sleeping on in Banner Lords is Oathbound. Pulled him early on and he was huge for me in early game. Defense champ, does decent damage, some turn meter, some CC, and an AOE decrease attack. Way better than Seneschal
I had ten 5 star food champs until last week. I maxed Skartorsis. Just got Visix, but researching first to see if she's worth it. I have Fu-Shan and Skartorsis that need books. I have Madame, so I haven't maxed Tayrel. Maxed Vergis... one of my first Epics. I have Fahrakin and Ghrush in my sparring pit. Maneater boosted my account in a bunch of areas! Steelskrull I've ignored besides leveling, might check him out. Dhukk also boosted my account... awesome! Vrask is in my vault... oops. Allure is at 50. Mausoleum Mage at 50. Seeker used daily. Gororab one of my favorites, Madame... no words. That's all I have.... slow rolling, but it's been a year, so it's been fun!

Ursula helped my account big time. I'm mostly free to play, I've bought some gems for masteries but other than that I'm grinding it out. Ursula has made my team survivable and is now a huge help in Doom tower. She is a huge boost to ATK of DEF champs and that revive is the best.
I haven't regretted upgrading Vergis. When I couldn't get Scarab king otherwise, he could solo it even at 5 stars. He is also an amazing spider tank. I don't use him anywhere else (okay, doom tower secret rooms), but the places he excels at, there are very little champions that can compare to him.

Fenax is very good..I use him in so many situations..He hits extremely hard ... his A1 on the ice golem is just awesome ... For me, Fenax is one of the underestimated heroes in the game ... A bit squishi though with Def and Lp no problem..Play it

Agree with most of the list.
Considering that (except for the rewards) my first 2 epics were Vrask and Sinesha, I would say that they're both a must build.
I did not even maxed out Kael, once I understood the mechanics of those two it became so easy to face most of the contents. Healer AoE on every hit and an AoE hitter with 2 healing skills. Not the fastest runs, but man they got to the end!
So I would for sure put Sinesha among the must build...
Interesting selection and guide. I have intesting dilemma of pulling Madame, taking her to 60 - then pulled Tayrel, Stag Knight in rapid succession. (And after investing in Dagger for FW.) Sadly, on my abandoned FTP pulled Sepulchar Sentinel, Uugo, and Sanguina early on and found them great, until forced to give up. At least I have some of your recommends on main - Armina, Dhukk, MMonster etc. But a few skill/role needs left.
Poor Ash! He sets out to help everyone one that is struggling by narrowing down some epics for 'Build if pull', but there are so many great champs that the 'Auto-Build' pool is still over 50! ;-)
Imagine a F2P trying to build even 1/2 these champs lol!

Maybe a Snub on Captain Temila? Strong Shield set, carry through all dungeons and double for FW
Dude I got Deacon about 2 weeks ago got him up to 5* 50 today. Had two five-star chickens got three duplicate rares up to five stars and took Zargala up to six stars instead of Deacon!!!! Literally seconds before watching your video too. Uuuuuhhhhggggg! I knew it!!!! 🤷♂️😁🤣 Oh well, he's next now!

although Royal Guard can be good in the late game, investing in the early game did not work for me.
enemy max hp is not that high for low level dungeons, so I didn't get any return for my investment.
in the mid game, he's useful, but dies easily to enemy damage. it's hard to get enough hp,def,spd,atk,crit% and crit.d on this champion. even in the late game, I still don't have the gear to get his build right.
I can choose high damage and decent speed, but low defense and hp, or some defense, but low damage.
Tayrel is great, at any level and easier to build. safer bet.

I am free to play and Aox is huge! AoE att down and reduces turn meter by 20%. Amazing for waves and bosses. Heals are good on bosses. Poisons are good on bosses. His passive is huge on bosses. He is in every team I have except arena. I got super lucky and pulled Cardiel. Aox and Cardiel can 2 man all three normal scarabs... no shields. Its very fun seeing the debuffs go into the 40s and 50s of turns left.

As someone who pulled Ursala and didn't even look up the new characters just reading her kit made me decide to build her cause she's crazy good. I'm glad you included her even though you were planning on just those other two banner lords.
It's interesting how you prefer Skullcrown over Sinesha. I'm a f2p player and I pulled Sinesha on my very first ancient shard received from daily reward. She always carried me through as my major nuker Campaign, Arena, Faction, and Doom Tower. 3 years later after getting other champs, she's still my go-to if I need to take down multiple enemies if no one else could. On another account, I excitedly have Skullcrown. She put nw down that she's not as strong and dies too much, not as good for me. Still, I've been trying for 2 years to get both on the same account to have the twins together
Seeker is great in Doom Tower Normal imo. 85% of Normal I just run Seeker with 4 fast attack based nukers (1 or 2 having some utility debuffs as well). Makes for some very fast clears on an early-mid game account. The final 10-20 floors I need to slow down and go a bit more balanced. And of course he's awesome in FW. One of my favorite Epics.
I 100% recommend it Aniri.. She has helped my f2p soooooo much..
I know this game is moving forward a lot and has much to come, but has anyone noticed the third spot on the arena map? The words "the pinnacle" stands with a bare podium, almost seems like someday they might implement a third arena section for pvp alongside classic arena and tag team arena. Any thoughts? Obviously the big crystal tower is still locked in the dungeons section but I'm interested in seeing if they do anything with these areas.

Skull crown & Doompriest are the banes of my life. I always end up dropping the battle with them because I once put on auto because I got fed up. Come back with my coffee and they are still fighting after twenty minutes. I've learnt it's quicker and less stressful to surrender. Otherwise the battle could be going on to this day! 😂
: I just beat the Orgyn Faction crypt 21 with only 3 level 60 champions: Occult Brawler, Bellower, Drokgul the Gaunt with Gear Grinder and Grush the Mangler, I think a lot of people under rate Bellower. I use him against the waves in most Doom Tower floors, and Gear Grinder is absolutely amazing in the Faction Crypt, first off think of the value of a champion who can take you to 3 starring Faction Crypt 21 without even needing to invest in getting him to level 60! That's huge savings on resources! And again I should point out, Occult Brawler is not just a Clan Boss champion he was pretty much my only damage dealer on my whole Faction 21 team.
I am f2p and I must say Skullcrown, Deacon, Miscreated Monster are my best game changers. Its so hard to decide where you want invest but I love it. Its like playing survival game doesnt matter how long it takes important is to get there 😃 Still waiting for coldhearth or Royal Guard. Ash I hope you will get Deacon you will have So much fun with him !
So glad i found Ash, i only get to play a couple hours every couple of days but his advice is awesome, also i followed another content creator from the UK and after seeing his doom tower video on scarab telling people that they shouldn't be there if they cant beat that boss i looked for another creator to follow
Warcaster helped me build Batman Forever unkillable comp, he is not only usefull in FW, but also CB.

I have Vergis. He has a unique ability not described anywhere as far as I know, in that if you position him correctly and attack the right opponents he will swipe at and score hits on 2 or 3 opponents with his supposedly attacks one enemy A1 using that oversized poke of his. Does anyone else see that?
I also like his A2 Aegis buff ability as you choose which of your champions gets 4 buffs while the rest get one each, which puts a further complexity of making a good choice into it.
Where i Start playing in January with Raid. Ursula was on of my First Epics i got out of a Event. And i am soooo glad she is the Core of every of my Teams and is from Early to Midgame OP, on Endgame i cant say it. But for me she is AWEsome ^^. Dear Greets from Swiss
As a pay and ftp player I notice that focusing on faction wars as a ftp will force your resources to be spread thin as opposed to focusing on a pvp and cb and campaign n dungeons. So as a ftp I only focus on faction wars up to the 1st boss and I haven't heard them all yet and still my resources are thin because of that. Lessons there somewhere...
Juliana and Rowan are two Epics I would for sure build for Clan Boss, both those girls lay heavy damage, easily 2 million on Normal and hard setting. They're by far my two best in Clan Boss and i have a lot of solid champions..
I ve got all of them, as a f2p, its gonna take me 10 years to get them all fully booked 🤪

Gorgorab is a must build mainly for the first 6 months of any new player’s time in this game if they pull him. And he’s an op reviver for that faction.
I have had stag Knight from the start of the game.. He is amazing. I use him in everywhere.
I also run ursula too, in a regen set with great hp she does last and stays alive long enough to revive the whole team. Great champion
We should really have timelines for Ash’s channel. BD and AD. Before Deacon and After Deacon.
I think Rugnor Goldgleam should be on that list. He can apply and maintain Weaken + Decrease DEF consistently and also apply a leech on his A1. Great for CB and dungeons IMO

I have Fahrakin the Fat and Deacon Armstrong and yeah they are insane. And Ash if you pull Fahrakin you should do a guide on him, believe it or not he hits like a truck. I'm talkin 30k+ on his A1 and 80k+ on his A2.

To me, the only Champion that should be in this list is Seer, because the buff explosion is both unique and op. I don't think there's any other epic that is always a huge upgrade, no matter what you champions you already have and no matter what abilities you cannot cover with your current roster.
To give an example I have in my vault and probably will never build: Dhukk, because I have Stag Knight, who does basically the same thing, I completed Orc faction wars, and I have Angar and Brago for aoe provoke. I also have Mausoleum Mage, Fahrakin, Tayrel, Vogoth and Hope from your list, all sitting in my vault at lvl 40 - I might still build some of them, but well - the last champions I built and completed are Scyl, Venus, Skullcrusher, Astralon and Arbiter and I will definitely build at Coldheart and Sepulcher next - and even after that, I'm not sure if one of those will be next, since I also have Turvold waiting in the vault, and Yoshi from the current event, and I completed Drokguls fragments last week (I'll summon him next week during the champion chase), and there's several champions I'd prioritize higher if I get them in the next 2 shard pull events. I spend about 25 bucks total on my account, none of that in the last 4 or 5 months - getting champions is not a big issue when you can do um clan boss and lvl 20 dungeons. So yeah, your no-questions-ask-list is still way too long from my point of view.
Im a F2P player, been playing for 2 months, close to 3 now, i have some epics but none of the ones listed, i tend to pull D rank ones (rankings from various websites). Such bs honestly
25:00 You dont need to build (book) Vrask unless you want more Damage output. Worst case scenerio is booking his A2 and reducing the number of times he uses his A1 - turn meter buff. So the general advice on Vrask is not to book him.
Oathbound, Ash, Oathbound is awesome for FW and dungeons. He can even be your Banner Lords damage dealer, esp. if you speedtune Stag Knight to go before him
The advice that F2P players need to be MORE selective about champions, not less, is absolute gold. So true, and so incredibly helpful.
Thenasil. I was lucky enough to pull Thenasil shortly after starting the game. He is completely amazing. His A3 Toxic Cloud is not the hardest hitting AoE attack like Ash said in the video, but with respect, I think that a big plus of the A3 Toxic cloud didn't get mentioned in the video....that is that it decreases all buffs on enemy by one turn.
Also while talking of "Toxic Cloud", is it just me, or is not reasonable to expect an ability with a name like that to have some chance of laying poisons ?
I have fully booked Fahrakin the Fat on my F2P account, he's helped that account a TON! Favorite character on that account.
Loved seeing deacon Armstrong on this list. I loved seeing him as he's the third champ i 6 stared. He's probably the only s tier champ I have. Going to make a video on him and how I he's been useful for my progression. Hopefully with this new shard event I'll be able to pull some more of these champs!

Ok agree on most but seriously? You didn't include:
1)Melga from the dwarves faction -> she can literally carry teams in ice golem, doom tower and faction wars. Check stew's videos and you will see what I mean
2) Anax from the undead (and u put vogoth?!?!, he is good but anax is a beast for FK, clan boss and even spiders if u lack the double weaken and decrease def. He is even good in doomtower against frost spider with his decrease accuracy and poisons plus self sustain)
3) Cardinal from the Sacred order and u instead put Sanguinia ???? Cardinal is hands down the best reviver and she has a great heal too. Not only she creates a whole archetype of attack teams in the arena modes just by herself, she can be combined with one more reviver for perma revives teams.
4) Fayne just for clan boss and spiders if you want to have at least one epic from every faction. She is good
5) Rugnor, really good, would replace Grizzled jar easily for him every day. Especially when Ai override arrives.
As for Fenax, he is a beast. Put him in dmg and he can do wonders in clan boss, put him in destroy gear and melts the scarab, put him in some accuracy and block buffs or skills in an aoe, best a1 in the game and single target block revive in every turn. He is my best champion but I understand he requires some support and gear, so he is not auto lvl up if u are super early in the game.

I am in my second month on my new acc and there was a point where I was struggling because I did not have any healers and in champ summoning week I got "Mausoleum Make" "Apothecary", "Rector Drath" and "Pain keeper". Right now I am wasting energy by trying to mix them around my few dps champs and I cant pick those few for my main team. Cause when I watch videos bout them they are all good :D + I got I have "Tarshon" which I thought is aaa ok champ, nothing special. But after this video I am lost :D plz some advice ! tyy and GL !

Cannot agree more on Psylar. I was not necessarily hyped for her, ut i do not regret it! I built her in Stun set with very high speed, she's a DT & FW game changer, a real CC Freak
I managed to pull Pain Keeper early on. I maxed her because I feel her ability allows me to simulate having my whole team upgraded.
I love how whenever you start to list a top 5, another 20+ name are also added to the top 5 haha. Just a recommendation you could make a video the same way but using the Tiermaker website and grade all the Rare's, Epic's and Legendaries, that way you could have an easy to see top 5 or 10
my f2p is about the same age as your f2p account. I have both Royal Guard and Stagknight, got them on the last 2x event. My account is going to soar so fast. I've been saving all resources to power through thus fragment event, so they aren't leveled or booked yet.
Ash: I don't want to talk about Champs, I don't have on this list.

36:50 Sentinel could make better use of the reflex set. And possibly outperform Jarl. Need to keep in mind, every champ that has only 2 skills is a possible candidate for the reflex set. e.g. My Stag Knight with a reflex set spams his A2 quite nicely.

I would definitely take Seer over MM. Not even close. Don't have Dhukk or Stag so can't rate them.
I already have Skytouched Shaman build and I just unlocked vrask. Is one better than the other? Or should I use them both? Currently using Skytouches and apothecary
