    I'm a new player (after 30 yrs on console 1st time pc as well) so there is no way I'm going on multi-player. I'm loving the sp experience. Having so much fun learning the world. Your videos have been so helpful. Thank you!!!!

      I`ve done single player only for about 3 years. I did try multi player but only with a mate from work that had a server.

      There's a decent amount of of PVE only servers, just avoid the Role playing ones if you want a single player experience on a server.

      @Luthais I'm a chic ;) Yes it's a different beast but I'm adapting better than I thought I would. Finally getting the hang of the bow. Really struggled with it so I think that's my biggest frustration so far.

    i came back now to the game 2 years later and its comforting to see you do aan sp series, cause the only thing that makes me scared of this game is getting jumpscared by puppets so seeing you play sp can help me get usual on it

      Yes patience and taking them on 1 at a time is very important and then in bunkers using corners is important but ill show you what i mean

    I see it very similarly to you.
    I miss survival in the long run in this game.
    Fresh spawn gives you the feeling of survival but after a while it feels like it's gone forever.
    To understand what I mean, I'll give you an example:
    Survival doesn't mean constantly fighting 100 zombies, or constantly fighting hordes.
    Survival doesn't mean constantly staying in the same 2-3 sectors.
    Abandoned bunkers have no replay value except for the memory module and Phoenix syringe.
    Military bunkers are uninteresting and don't give much motivation because it's always the same.
    We're talking about SCUM here and not an arcade survival game like Stay of Decay or The Forest etc. That's SCUM.
    SCUM play on an island where you fight for survival against zombies, robots and other players, facing major challenges like hunger, thirst, health, shelter, long cold and dangerous nights. > But all of this is increasingly taking a back seat.
    To understand it again:
    More zombies, less loot, etc. doesn't bring back the feeling of survival for me, it's more of a challenge to the server settings and not the regular gaming experience in the game itself.
    Quests are currently test attempts and there will be 100% changes and adjustments in the future, but in my opinion it still doesn't fit with SCUM.
    Base building is getting more and more intense, many servers have too high a number of squads and far too high building elements set as standard and there are many other points that I could list.
    You can't argue with anyone about the game anymore, because because of the game's development, many people no longer know what SCUM was like in the beginning and what it is like now.
    When I play single player, for me it's like The Sims with zombies and robots in an apocalypse where I can set my server settings myself, but in the long run it's only survival for a very short time like a fresh spawn.
    This is my personal opinion, you don't have to worry about it :)

      I completely agree. To me this has become a complete pvp game.
      SP is pretty much pointless

    Just coming back to the game, not played since the week it released in E.A , just found your PVE Server randomly , joined it , came to look for something on here and found your channel ! 😆👍

    Hordes after the update is tougher...I nearly died to two hordes ...like you said, when two see you, they can swarm you very fast ...the POIs are really dangerous....but slowly adapting to it 😊...but the quest are really hard to do on a populated server and all traders want the same thing...which causes rarity of items.

    • @thebullhornstreamer4742
      @thebullhornstreamer4742 19 днів тому +1

      Yep, I think server admins are going to have to dial down the horde settings after 0.96 because of the NO JUMPING allowed in 0.96, it's pretty much impossible to get away from massive hordes, even on servers. Also I'm pretty sure 0.96 didn't just affect jumping, it also severely crippled stamina for fresh characters that don't have like 8 str, 5 con 5 dex, Advanced Running, Advanced Endurance, ETC.

      Yes the puppet system is a bit rough but hopefully they get the puppets out of the bushes and trees

    Things must have really changed in 3 years, back then you were telling everyone that's it was impossible to play it single player, so I stayed away until a month ago and single player is pretty good now. Also recently started playing multiplayer too just to try my hand at it, but sticking with PVE only. Got old man reflexes now so PVP is pretty much out of the question LOL.

    my fav way to play is max zombies, increased sentry damage and can only buy consumables like ammo, food and repair kits. i dont like having zombie damage too high cos it forces you to slow down too much and are less likely to get into chaotic situations which are fun. i havent done it on single player yet, might have to see how different it is.

    • @Luthais
      @Luthais  19 днів тому

      It's a way bigger challenge in single player but yes if you don't like to take it slow lower numbers are better

    If anyone can suggest some server settings to increase puppets and animals in the world, I'd be very grateful.

    Puppets are still broken and even with the quests.. the game feels like there is nothing to do... somehow as complicated as it is.. sadly feels like it is for nothing... to bad.. loved this game.

      @Zinedamzy yup.. i mean the puppets should have other animations and not hop over things... also melee is bad. I wana swing in different angles with more agile animations for every weapon like in RL. Also ammo and weapons should be really hard to get.. the game needs alot of work.

    • @Zinedamzy
      @Zinedamzy 19 днів тому +1

      @@kbxbogdan Absolutely!
      Ammunition and especially the large caliber weapons should definitely be much more difficult to obtain.
      Yes, this game still needs a lot of work, I think the developers are a little over-estimated with what they are doing and what they are thinking.
