haha, I did not expect you to mention Tabio, which I knew about, because I am Japanese, though living in the US. It's like Mizuno cleats being much better than anything else in terms of their quality and craftsmanship going into the product.
Excellent video! Really haven't seen too many videos about so many grip socks all at once. Hooray! I'm so happy you love the Tabio socks. It's all I ever use!
I bought Gain the edge, my toe went through them after like 4 games. half my nail is missing, so it's not like it was my nail cutting through the sock.
In terms of sheer performance absolutely nothing beats the Trusox 3.0 cushion, but in terms of only comfort, I find the Adidas Alphaskin socks as the most comfortable, right slightly above the nikegrip socks (just thicker, they have more cushioning). Also I respectfully disagree with your opinion of the unisport sock, however they are very thin, and only fit well if you get the size down (then like tapedesign, they fit very perfectly, no compression, but 0 extra space). I definitely want to try Tabio though!!!
Honestly I hate those unisport socks, I'd rather wear plastic bags, I just think the fit is poor and the materials are bad. Although we of course all have different opinions. The Adidas alphaskin are a comfortable sock I totally agree there, I just find their grip capability pretty lacking.
I actually like the pure grip socks but they are also the only grip socks I’ve used so I don’t have anything to compare to but I can say I’d rather wear them over regular socks
Hey James which ones are the thinnest on the actual foot? I have a pair of the knock off trusox but they're just too thick so I never wear them for football. Would like to try one of these in your review, but need the thinnest! Thanks!
I thought about having socks with separated toes the other day, just like the Tabios. Never thought that such a product actually existed for playing football, but it's really cool to know about now!
The only difference to premium vs the more generic socks, seems to be materials and aesthetics? I use Lux v1 (prefer over v2)... and they are fantastic. I can't see how paying 2-4 times more would provide any different conclusion to what a non slip sock is basically designed for?
@@VitoCorlito preformance wise, Falke is the best, but they are very expensive and hard to get. Tape design is good but they also don’t last as long and are also very expensive. The tape design are the best all rounder for me because they are the Cheapest, but also last long, and give very good performance.
Hey James, would u reckon that having the Nike Elite boots, which apparently synergises well with the NikeGrip Socks, would be a justifiable reason enough to at least try out a pair? A bit of context here, i have 2 pairs of Nike Elite boots Hypervenom 3 and Phantom Venom, but i usually use Currex insoles for them. But if the NikeGrip works well with their Elite models, then i might very well dust off the Elite stock insoles and pair them with the NikeGrip socks
I honestly don't think the difference would be big enough to justify moving away from an insole that you prefer. If it's 50/50 sure use the Nike insoles. But if the currex insoles are working for you I'd say that's more important than the grip socks and grip insoles.
When worn on ag do rubber crump pellets tend to stick to any of these? I've noticed some pairs of sports socks they get caught in and others they don't.
Are Nike Vapor (American football) crew socks the same as Nike Grip socks? They no longer sell Nike Grip socks at US retailers. It appears they are discontinued here.
The crew socks aren't usually the same as the grip, I'm unsure exactly which ones you are looking at but honestly you'll be able to tell from the price, around $10 that's the standard crew, around $30 will be the grip socks. It's not that the grip socks are discontinued it's just that they're sold out, they sell out fairly quickly and when Nike have a new style or pack to launch they will restock. That's normally how it goes.
Trusox and Soxpro are my favorites because of the cotton footbed. Of the 2, I prefer Soxpro. Most other socks with polyester footbed just make my feet sweat too much.
I dont line the falke socks at all, bc if i play in them and my feet start sweeting, than im slipping alot in my boots, that why i dont wear them anymore

@@BootWizard yeah mate I tried Pro Direct but they only have small or large in stock and I’m a uk 7.5 so need the medium.Just bought a pair of Falke ones though as they seem to be a favourite of many.
@@Kris-jm7tx Falke are better than the Storelli's for me, but the storelli is cheaper for sure. I have the medium as well. Hopefully you can pick them up soon.
Just go for anything that has as much grip as possible if that's the issue. If you have the money maybe the Falke or the TruSox if not most of the stuff in the cheesy tier will do the job for rubber elements on the base.

@@BootWizard on this video you said the Liiteguards were your overall fave’s. but then on the tier list the tabio’s are first? i looked at your latest video on grip socks and the Liiteguards had swapped positions with number 3 (falke) so all a little confusing what the actual order of preference is! as the list on this video doesn’t include the new ones you did after this vid and due to differing positions, is there any chance of getting a written out current order of preference for the top tier?
@@kommym there will be a new video coming with the new socks on it. For the order here the reason the tabio is at the top is because it's a better value proposition, I personally prefer the lifeguard but the tabio as a package is going to be a better sock for most people. So the list here is my reccomendation from top to bottom rather than my personal preference, that's probably the best way to put it.
@@BootWizard thanks for the clarification and in depth video! so just to be sure (as in your latest video Liiteguard has switched positions with Falke) - you're absolute overall favourite of them all on performance is the Liiteguard? would love to get your personal preference order of performance if possible for the top tier, want to try them all out but in the order of your preference :)

@@BootWizard Thanks for the answer James. I've got an alternate question then for you: what's the best thinnest socks you've tried? Newcomer to grip socks, one simple question, Liiteguard or Tabio, I've found them at practically the same price so I really can't make my mind up 😅. I will buy soley on your recommendation 😁
I recently got the liite guard socks and my only problem with them is how tight they feel. Are they meant to feel that tight? I don’t really have that big of feet, although I have the biggest size, the sizes aren’t really that big either. But yeah, my main question is do they stay tight or with they feel more comfortable as I wear them in games/practices.
They're compression socks so they're going to be tighter than a regular sock, they will of course stretch more as you wear them but they will always be fairly tight.
I think everyone is different. Foot shape and the type of boots too probably come into it. What I can say, is there is no foot slippage at all based on the rubber being on both sides (from my experience). I use Lux with Nike Premier 3 and they're a great combo. Especially the first version.
Trusox are pricy but their friction pads are world class, they aren’t shiny and rubbery like other brands, they actual help with friction so your foot stays in place.
There's a lot of brands that don't use the silicone grips that you're referencing and use other materials like the flocking material that TruSox use. TruSox issue has never been the grip, but fit and durability. Also if you're looking for grip socks this video is quite a few years old now I have 3 newer versions of this tier list from within the last year.
Only the tru socks have that, they have a patent on that technology. There are a couple of smaller companies that do it as well, but I am fairly confident they are infringing on copyright.
Interesting I've always found the grip on them to be enough, it's not as obvious as some of the rubber gripped socks but still does enough and the comfort and fit are so good that they are well worth it.
@@BootWizard Yeah that was just my personal opinion but the material is one of the best if not the best. I haven’t tried all grip socks but I think TruSox and Tape Design has given the best grip and what I’m looking for when using grip socks is that grippy feeling. In addition Tape Design durability was terrible..
@@jimihackspik2855 yeah that's what it's all about, finding what works for you. If you want something that's more grippy then for sure the Nike Grip might not do the job. I haven't worn my tapedesign enough to comment on durability because I don't really like them. But I have quite small feet so one size fits all is a bit of a nightmare for me.
@@BootWizard anyway just wanted to say that I appreciate your content. Not many makes as unique videos as you. Stay consistent and keep up the same way👊🏻

Nike grip socks are where it’s at🔥
Lovely little numbers, love a nike grip
Great video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
Where do you rank stepzz grip socks?
They'd probably be cheesy.
I'm surprised you didn't put out the pure grip sock "pro" socks that are just $16 U.S dollars compared to the regular $14 U.S dollars.
I made this video before the pure grip pro was released, they weren't available.
Did all the "Foot Fetish" socks have grips both on the outside and inside
Only the tru socks have that, they have a patent on that technology. There are a couple of smaller companies that do it as well, but I am fairly confident they are infringing on copyright.
I have had couple pairs of Nike Grip socks and I don't think that they provide enough grip. The comfort and fit is great but not that grippy at all
Interesting I've always found the grip on them to be enough, it's not as obvious as some of the rubber gripped socks but still does enough and the comfort and fit are so good that they are well worth it.
Stay consistent and keep up the same way👊🏻
@@jimihackspik2855 glad you're enjoying them man, thanks for watching and for getting involved, love to hear different people's points of view
What falkes are those

If you check my updated version of this video (part 1) I did find some links where you could get them still.
But yes on the whole they're discontinued.
Me watching this and just thinking that the grip socks I wear his free and you have fun with them besides soccer cuz I use the sky zone socks for there trampolines
Haha, trampoline grip socks with some multi purpose use.
Nike ones I can’t find anywhere except eBay in Canada!
Nike ones are so hard to find at the moment
@@BootWizard are they discontinued?
@@Nico0323 they changed the socks twice from the version in this video and then since I definitely have a feeling they may have been discontinued. I don't know for sure though.
@@BootWizard ok thank you for the help.
Great video! I loved the names of the tiers😂😂 what do you think is the best value for money grip sock (that you can buy outside of Japan)?😂
I'm working on some other reviews of some socks right now that might be best value for money. At the moment it is Nike Grip on sale, they go on sale quite frequently and you can pick them up at $10-$20 and that's usually what I would do to save cash.
Glad you enjoyed the video and my ridiculous category names 😂😂
@@BootWizard awesome! Thank you so much!
@@BootWizard hi can you recommend me a place to buy the nikegrip socks, I cannot find them anywhere in stock 😭
@@BootWizard are they called Nike squad socks?
What about TractionSocks ?
Haven't tried them
I was about to pick up some pure grips socks but after watching you I think I’m just gonna stick with Nike crews
I have a full review of the pure grip on the channel as well if you want to see my full thoughts on them
Pure grip socks are a solid pair of grip socks
I have been searching for 9 months the nike grips and i can't even find them (Chile)
They are very hard to find
my man we must do business and bring all this soccer staff to south africa
unfortunately I'm not a store, just a reviewer.
Try the brand Maestro
Got some, they'll be in the updated tier ranking video that's coming
i could never find the nike grip socks where do you buy them from? im from the u.s
I get them from Nike direct usually on their site however if you're near a Marshall's or a Burlington they usually have them in super cheap.
What do you think about the lux sports grip socks?
I haven't tried them to be honest
@@BootWizard I was waiting for this video to drop to get me some and they dropped right after they arrived today
Hope you're enjoying them
You should review LUX Sports grip socks
I'll have a look into them
Brilliant video lol,, nike grip socks for me, always pick them up in a sale, keep up the good work
As always thank you, and thanks for checking out the channel.
Hello boot wizard love your videos man, love the reviews, my feet are incredibly wide, like it’s annoying how wide they are, I tried on the puma future z and the predator freak.1, they both feel very good and hug my wife foot perfectly, idk which to choose tho, they both fit amazing now I’m just left with a basic one or the other choice hahah, can you make the decision for me all powerful boot wizard? hahah love the vids 🤙✌️
They're quite different boots it really depends what you're looking for. Basically just decide if you want the demon skin or not. That should make your decision for you.
@@BootWizard I’ll go for the predators thanks man keep the vids coming, love from Australia 🙏 :)
where is adidas alphaskin ?
They'll be in the next sock ranking video
You cant buy the nike grip socks in america for everyone looking
You actually can, marshalls is a good place to look, the nike website are frequently sold out or don't stock them though.
As always you dominate 🎉. And I love you for it.
TF grip socks ends up being a foot fetish sock yes??
The OG tf socks are foot spa and the air foot fetish.
I haven't got the updated 2024 version yet though.
Damn that’s crazy mannnn
Me? The socks? The people? The amount of cheese people put on toast?
I havent watched the vid yet, but Falke>
Falke are amazing
That is cause falke have inside grip

I want to buy the Tabio Grip Socks getting them is tough 😂😂
@@malcolmphillips9010 tabio website in the UK stocks them now.
@@BootWizard Do you have a link. I live at Canada lol so yeah i see EBay sells them but expensive
@@BootWizard i also have another question Wich one is better Tabio or Falke sock. I play high level soccer so I need to know
This video was great, thank you. I will give you my Falke fetish story in return. I returned from laundry one day, my flatmate and I talked as I hang some clothes. After a couple of minutes I exclaim 'oh no, I've forgotten 100€ worth of socks!'. I returned 2 minutes later carrying 5 pairs of socks. He expressed that I have I problem, but the problem is his; he believes tennis socks is a fine sensation.
5 pairs of Falke for €100 I'd call that a bargain 😂😂. I agree he is just not getting the full experience of quality socks!
Hope you're doing well my friend .
@@BootWizard yeah, made up some numbers for good story telling.. I usually spent between 18 and 24 Euros a pair.. But I assume the hiking socks are cheaper than the grip socks.
Quite well thank you, and the same to you.
This guy is amazing he just needs to make more professional videos maybe edit them or have multiple takes.
i like you bro
Thanks
