Parappa sounds like he's on the verge of laughing half the time, like the scene was so ludicrous that this was the best take they could get without him completely losing it.
You know what's odd? The fact that Burger Beard's son isn't freaking out that his father/tormentor came back from the dead....just to make more burgers....yikes.....
Have you realised how the beard burger master tells parappa to do EXACTLY as he does while the others tell parappa to go with his own flow? Just thought that detail was kinda cool (It could just be so new players know what to do, but it could also be for lore purposes)
This is one of the best intro stages to the rhythm game First off we have the beginning, excitement, all the funk in it, getting you ready for a great sequel. Lesson 1 is basically making sure you know what you're doing or your controller works, giving you a single button to work with at a time, with a lot of space in-between lines, just to adjust your timing, the game even has a feature to help you know if your timing is good, the blue meter represents the accuracy to the original line, right means more and left means less. Most importantly over all. the music never gets stale, still really funky and happy to keep you in the mood. Lesson 2 rolls around and now the game takes a step up, asking the player to input 2 buttons per line, adding onto the previous lyrics and making new lyrics, "Heat" to "Heat the Grill" and "Melt the Cheese!" Respectively. Lesson 3 rolls around and the game is now expecting you to start trying now, you get 3 buttons per line and the gaps between buttons is smaller than before, but you get some time before each line, halfway through the lesson the wait time vanishes and now you have to start inputting lyrics back to back with the only wait time is listening to your instructor. The music, in the background, still is kicking and bopping, never once going into a dull state. Lesson 4 finally comes and this is your final exam before you can move on, the game merges multiple lyrics together, the music rises in tension as you near the end of the song. Button prompts are no longer being generous, you're getting 4 to 6 buttons per line, but the game gave you time to learn, you know what to do, you're prepared for your final exam, when the song ends the game has teached you what to do and you now know what the game will throw at you.
Parappa means “Paper flat” in some other language I think it’s Japanese. It also fits with the games art style It’s just a coincidence Parappa’s name is the same as the town name

"Frenching" something is technically a style of preparing food in long, thin strips so that they cook evenly. So TECHNICALLY it doesn't make sense, but for the purposes of the song, it's Parappa the Rappa.
I always wondered the same thing. It just seems like a lazy way of them not having to name the town something else. But my assumption is that Parappa was named after the town itself.
Yes. In other versions he said "you better get in line". The change was because the word "wine" was an alcohol reference from the ESRB rating and in order to get that E Rating, they changed it
Something is wrong with my ps4 version of the version, at the 4th lesson he said "Tastes better than wine!" and i thought this was an mistake, until i saw, EVERYONE HAD AN NORMAL ONE.

Parrappa is the best rapper.
Actually, Parappa Town is named after another guy named Parappa. It is a very common name among boys in Rodney State.
"Frenching" something is technically a style of preparing food in long, thin strips so that they cook evenly. So TECHNICALLY it doesn't make sense, but for the purposes of the song, it's Parappa the Rappa.
The best part is you can hear Parappa's voice actor trying not to laugh after the "my buns are very toasty" comment.

"Tastes better than wine." Wasn't that line changed in other versions of the game?
