What To Do When We “Mess Up”!

- We ask daily in prayer: "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..."
To sin, in Greek is the word "hamartia" it just means:
"To miss the mark" (of perfect Love)
It is like "Alert! Alert, you have gone off the path of Love that you were created to walk in. Ask God to forgive you, to help you get back on course, to renew your mind, AND to be your righteousness for you."
"Forgive us our debts"
what we owed today, to walk in perfect Love, because we were given this life by our Divine Creator, who IS Perfect Love)
"as we forgive our debtors"
...all who have not perfectly Loved us the way God intended them to Love us.
Those who would approach Christ would say some variation of:
"Lord, Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."
And He would heal them and forgive them.
Keep this simple:
✨ Ask God to forgive you.
✨ Ask God to help you turn from whatever it was.
✨ Ask God to help you heal the ROOT of the sin, not just the surface expression of it.
✨ Make sure to Ask God to help you forgive ALL other people, and do your best to do this (forgive), daily.
✨ Trust, in Faith, that you are forgiven, by the righteousness and perfection that Jesus Christ offers to each of us.
✨ If there is another person involved (and we are ALL connected, so in reality, none of our sins are "private" -- but be encouraged, the ways we walk in Love helps the whole world as well!) ask him or her for forgiveness. Admit the wrong and move forward. Learning from the fall.
Some verses that help:
But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires...
Romans 14:13 (AMPC)
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

This is a high and noble calling!)
