Butane is put into winter gas to make it easier to ignite in cold weather. It is also cheaper than gas, so that brings the price of gas down as a filler. Problem is that it has a low evaporation temperature and is highly flammable, so you take that out in summer gas, unless you want to pay for something that is just going to evaporate and make your tank dangerous if you are in an area that gets incredibly hot.
1 us gallon is 3.78 liters so thats 7.10 a gallon in CAD. or 5.16 USD per gallon. Or you could say 1.35 cad a Liter, I consider that affordable since were paying 1.88 Cad a liter right now.

I work in the oil & gas industry and the margins aren’t really good due to the cost being higher but of course, the optics, public sentiment, and perception always paints a bad picture on the oil & gas companies. Folks also have to realize that the taxes on gas here in Cda are insane! Doug Ford is just politicizing this to appear he sides with the public but I bet he won’t suspend the provincial cut on the gas taxes! It’s simply business…companies don’t sell gas for free!😂

Here is some simple math: 3.39 (a gallon) x 1.43 (current exch rate) = 4.85 4.85 / 3.785 (canuctard liter) = 1.28 a liter. You Lib voters sure like shafting yourselves, don't you?
