- Like the title says it's based on the Epilogues so WARNING SPOILERS poeple.
It took more time than I thought it would, and maybe because I work a lot on it, I don't like what I've done. at all. It might be change with time, but rn I don't want to watch it again x3

I love seeing people treat The Homestuck Epilogues as a story worthy of art, and so this makes me incredibly happy. I think you managed to capture the often-subtle existential sadness that runs through both Meat & Candy, and you contrast certain points (John dancing with Jake, versus facing the horrors of the endgame battle) really nicely.

oh man oh god, I love the buffkat, super anime Dirk, way Roxy's nose is drawn, robot designs, dancing scene... Little animation at the end.

oh god your dirk. his appearance alone is just... so perfect?? given everything that goes down with him. the attention to detail in this is insane and yet it's so comfortingly minimalist. AND the kids at the end ACTUALLY looked their age. literally in love with this, thank you.

recently i've had some trip to see some homestuck (vriska) imagery into a Jena Lee clip ("j'aimerais tellement" - starting at the 3rd minute of the official video, how curious)
and now, the Frenchstuck cinematic universe just keeps growing. Thank you for your service, this is a really good lyricstuck. And so soon after the one on the Friendsims, that was amazing too.

This video captures the melancholy of the epilogues perfectly, with every waver of tragedy and hope the characters experience in between. My favorite scene is at 2:46, when Jake and John dance to lyrics perfectly fitting Jake's resolution to turn a new leaf with his kid. It being shown just after Roxy becomes happy with his identity is a double-hit of unexpected happiness that I really appreciate. Love it lots. Thank you.

the animations?? how you chose to portray the lyrics, and with what characters? how you were able to weave both meat and candy together? the composition? I'm in absolute love w/ this video. The style is neat and pretty, the scenes are well chosen and hit hard, the song is beautiful (definitely gonna add it to my playlist), THE ANIMATIONS OH GOD IT WAS UNEXPECTED AND PERFECT. I was hit with a lot of feelings being reminded of all the things that happened in both epilogues, both good and bad, it was totally awesome. Well done. Really well done. You're doing God's job

i can't believe i missed this when it was released, but i'm so glad to have stumbled upon it just now!!! i absolutely love the epilogues, but a lot of people don't, and as such i just sorta figured this would be a short, tangentially-related video - but then i watched it, and it's so obvious how much effort and time and care you put into every panel, and it's just so exciting to see such a wonderful piece of art about something i already adore!! i absolutely love the panels you chose to match up with the lyrics, and i love the stylistic choice of having each one flipping through similar re-lined versions so it's constantly moving, and i love your designs for all the characters, and god it's all so perfect i don't even know what to say. this video and song both capture the exact feeling of the epilogues, though i have no idea how to word whatever that emotion is - i just know you did an incredible job translating it into your own work. the animations at the beginning and the end are perfect, and i *adore* the song and will immediately go listen to it! (by immediately i mean after i rewatch this several times, then send it to my friends, then also cry a little)

J'ai du mal à exprimer à quel point je suis positivement émue et dans l'ensemble ravie d'avoir trouvé ce Lyrickstuck sur les épilogues. Je les ai relu récemment et même si je les ai trouvé plus appréciables, ils sont toujours aussi compliqués sur le plan émotionnel pour de multiples raisons... "argl mes feels" comme on dirait :D
La chanson va merveilleusement bien avec l'histoire, les personnages et les scènes que tu dépeins. Je ne la connaissais pas avant, mais ça fait plusieurs jours que je l'ai dans la tête ! Maintenant elle sera éternellement associée à Homestuck pour moi. Merci beaucoup, je te suivrais sur les réseaux

Exactly 🥺 John isn't my absolute favorite character but he is pretty much the one the story revloves around pretty much. And his death was super sad and no one even knew besides terezi and Dirk 😭
