I'm a huge Elvis fan, so I really enjoyed seeing this. You are such a nice respectable young man. I know your parents must be proud of you. I wish there were more young people like you in the world, it would be a much better place!
That’s so kind of you to say. I appreciate you. I was blessed with some really good parents. They will appreciate hearing that. I’m glad you enjoyed the video Mary. Thank you so much. I have enjoyed tracking down Elvis spots. He was awesome.
Awesome video, Tampa Jay! Who knew the Ice House giant had a name?! Glad you enjoyed your trip and so happy we got to see you while you were here!! Twice! Hope you enjoyed your Pizza King pizza!!
I had moved from NJ to CA and got to see Elvis in May of 1974 at the Forum but my seat was so high up, I had to get binoculars to really see him but can said I did at least.
Great Video! I was 9 yrs old! That last concert in 1977. My dad an mom were watching on television an took pictures, but they didn't come out from the television! Those days cameras were not as good! But anyway, I still remember watching that concert on television! Then hearing he died, shortly there after was something I'll never forget! Despite just being knee high to a Grasshopper! Lol! :)
It was nice to see your home town! I liked the picture of your grandma! Elvis could really sing, I loved his music! Thanks for the video of your hometown!
how cool is main st america. that,s the part i like about travel in the usa. getting of the interstate and seeing all the quirky sights. another great video buddy.
Love your vlogs from you old hometown area in Indiana. Some cool stuff. Elvis had performed in Evansville the year before on Oct.24, 1976. Forgot his last concert was in Indianapolis. I was 15 when he died. I got my Gentle Ben lunchbox signed by him in 1972. Just happen to be at the right place at the right time when he was doing a concert in June 13, 1972. The Gentle Ben lunchbox was all I had on me at the time. Mom had picked me up at school. Yes, I still have it an it's on display here at our wacky world....
Great vlog Jay! Thanks for the tour of your home town. When you popped out from the corn field I was like oh no did you build a baseball stadium then I was wait that was in Iowa not in Indiana. LOL
My dad was a huge Elvis fan. Had a ticket to see him at Market Square Arena but didn't go because he didn't want to part with it. He had no idea it would have been his last chance. He named my sister Lisa after his daughter who was born on August 16 1977. Crazy coincidence. My dad died a in '78. On June 16 1987 I got to see my idol, Hulk Hogan, at Market Square. Sure wish they hadn't torn it down.
fantastic road trip TJ .... its great that people can still carry on with weddings and life !! Now what I want is a steak sandwich and a BoilerMaker from the IceHouse and eat with Corey :-) Oh, who am i kidding, I want TWO boilermakers with that sandwich... I'm guessing Corey will understand !
Great treasures! My step mother was a huge Elvis fan. She had a lot of memorabilia related to the King. I'm glad you got to see family. While you were in Indianapolis, did you get a chance to see Mina and Karen? Who? lol Safe travels!
I was born in northern Indiana, lived there a while and my family still lives there. Interesting we have both Indiana and Tampa in common, I lived in Tampa 22 years
That was Elvis’s last concert but his last public appearance was in Green Bay WI, he rented the beachfront amusement park overnight and rode the roller coaster that’s still there for many hours. You should go there and check it out.
Tampa Jay has left the building. Indiana and corn, they go hand in hand! Pink elephant and a double decker bus? Well that's stuff you don't expect to see in a state like Indiana.
Nice T-Shirt, I remeber I must see the series on Netflix :-) Really nice places to see, I love places like the barber Shop or the Bus. In the USA shops has so great figures before the stores, in Germany you can forget it to do this and it is forbidden at the most places :-(
