I'm glad I waited to comment, I appreciate the compassion from these guys. This shoe is probably amazing, I just know I'll never have the currency to experience. I think with the UTMB Ironman partnership and this equipment equivalent to cycling gear, it scares a large population of trail runners as to where this train is heading. Not that change is bad, but it's coming quick.
Hey Brian, thanks for the comment. I get it. They're trying to be small -- 1200 pairs isn't going to change the price point of the rest of the market. In my opinion, there will always be more affordable options and grassroots races. But there will also be new stuff like Speedland too and that's exciting I think!
Thank you, Dylan and Speedland. I have 2 pair of PDX. The second pair is in storage; they may stay there a very long time given how nearly indestructible this “equipment” is. Even if you never make more than 1,200 pair, I’m quite happy with my purchase. I would, however, pay Porsche-like prices for a spiked version that enables me to run safely on icy trails. Specialized, I know. But Colorado demands it for those of us who train year-round in the mountains. The PDX doesn’t work well in the snow, or with running snow shoes, but is magnificent in other technical settings. It really is a qualitative breakthrough and worth multiple pairs of other brands.

Get it! Love everything about the product and the everyday grind!! I ran for many big companies and this product did not cut corners on anything in the materials on this product!! Dial it/change it on the fly is the way we all need to become one with the miles under are feet and put the work we put in day to day to direct toe off!! Thank you guys

Great interview Mr. Bowman. What a great partnership! Very cool to get a glimpse behind the curtain of the biz. The shoe looks fantastic. Is there any way to try them on to see if you like them? I think if I bought them, I would probably just keep them on my shelf and never wear them. 😁

It would be awesome if you could provide a "re-lugging" service for shoes... since you look at it as an equipment and it is very expensive... since the business end of a trail running shoe are the lugs and they are the ones that would wear away the quickest... and if you could give different options for lugs...

Looks really rad..... lots of lame compromises with the main stream companies in the trail department, even at 160 dollars. Are these shoes made in China? At 375 it would be nice to see these made in a western industrialized country. I'd really be impressed with this shoe at this price point if these were made in the US or Canada.
