Can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm hoping today to get my Juki set up for some FMQ. I spent most of yesterday working with her. Changed needle 3 times. Fiddled with tension. No luck. She is very particular and skips stitches at will. Will change thread today and hope for the best. Oh the joys of quilting. LOL
love that collection. don’t think i have her in my collection but she reminds me of tim holtz that i love. i could see me just taking that panel to my long arm and just quilting and binding it … bingo done lol. excited to see your finished project! looking forward to your fabric bash video too!

It was sunny this afternoon and the grass was finally dry enough to mow - Dave started the mower for me and it started raining! I LOVED IT! Felt so good - wish it rain every time I mowed...just sprinkles not pouring down. As soon as I finished the sun came out - I just knew my daddy had something to do with that! Love the Zen moment!

I am sure I was quite a spectacle to the neighbors. Landing in a yard is a lot softer than what you did! Glad you are okay!
Very interesting fabrics, and I’m not being euphemistic. I like the Spotted Graffiti, and modern style is not usually my style. I think it would look great in a traditional pattern, like that orange peel type quilt pattern. Hope all’s well with your mammogram results. Be well.

Here's a rose for you, to hopefully give you a little smile: @}-->--- Regarding the Cartwheels pattern & you being "ridiculously excited" about it, I will share with you what a gentleman said to me recently when I was giddy over a bolt of polyester of all things, and used the same term to describe how I felt. He looked me in the eye and said, "You are exactly as excited as you ought to be." And he was right. If something brings us joy, why *shouldn't* we be ridiculously excited over it? That pattern is definitely worth being joyful over. And yes, please do take up my whole day showing off the fabrics. That "Spotted Graffiti" collection is drop-dead GORGEOUS. Love the colors, love the patterns, love how they look together. I can't tell you how many times I literally gasped when the next piece came into view. The green with orange, the grey with black, the lava red (OMG the lava red) - you would think all those colors would be a horrible clashing mess but they all work so well with each other. The "Marble Run" (did I remember the name right?) is nice, but it pales in comparison to the Spotted Graffiti. So. What's stopping you from getting a box of colored chalk and drawing all over that black wall, at least until you get the chance to repaint? You might find it's not so oppressive after all.
I love it all. Have always loved worded material, the abstract and graffiti prints. I think it stems from coming of age in the late 60 early 70's. My children called me an old hippie. Sorry you had such a bad day, hope the rest of your day is better. See you In the next video.
Good morning Holly. Gosh what a day you had. Isn't it just awful when we have such days. I think it also takes a bit out of us too for a short time. I know what you mean about being embarrassed when someone stops when you fall over. Last winter I tripped on our local tram track when rushing to get my morning work tram. I leave early and it was still dark. I think I must have caught my boot toe. I must say though I was grateful for a chap that stopped to check I was ok. He was very thoughtful and stood a distance away. I guess so as not to alarm me. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. I was ok though and bravely limped off - as we do. It is little gestures of kindness that people do without thinking that often make all the difference to the recipient. However, so glad you were ok and that you reached your necessary appointments on the day. Even though the dentist was not the best news. It will be over quickly and then you will have no more issues with that tooth. I enjoyed the fabric and I am always happy to see yours. For me I just enjoy sharing time with you Holly. Yes, the weather is up and down here in the UK too. Though the sun is out this morning. So a little walk for some fresh air and a visit to the local supermarket I think for me. What fantastic fabric, what a change from the "sweet" flowers. I can see why you love her. I don't know if you're interested in a pattern die from Accuquilt, which makes cutting shapes so much easier and less fussiness than FPP. It's exactly like the Cartwheels pattern. It's called GO! Rob Peter to Pay Paul-(7" Finished) (2-Die Set) Die. It will make the fussy cutting of the alpha letters very easy and sewing the curves. No snow ball blocks. Glad to know your taking care of your health. Stay well.
I'm sorry that you fell today. You have to be careful. I have to use a walker when I go out. In 2022 my legs decided they had held me up long enough. I had back surgery and thankfully at least I can get around with the walker. Sending Light and Love to you that you will stay upright. ❤🙏❤

Oh Holly..i am glad you are ok. I fall, too. Last time, I put my arms out straight to break the fall and ripped my rotator cuff. Surgery and 5 months of exercises 3x a day and PT 2x a week. But I am fine now. I would suggest a hot soak in epsom salts and Tiger Balm ointment. You take care.. Tomorrow will be better. PS Lol I think our yearly mams make our boobs grow southward.
I think I like the Graffiti fabric but was difficult to tell. Would have liked to see the fq opened and in better camera range. The alphabet fabric was also cool.

I really like this fabric collection. I have four boys, and the flower prints don't always work for projects for them.

I had never heard of Marsha Derse before watching your videos Holly. She reminds me of the fabrics of Tim Holtz. I like it, and as you said it's different, but that's what I love about quilting. There is definitely something for everyone! Dandelion is loving her sun time lol. Take care!

What fantastic fabric, what a change from the "sweet" flowers. I can see why you love her. I don't know if you're interested in a pattern die from Accuquilt, which makes cutting shapes so much easier and less fussiness than FPP. It's exactly like the Cartwheels pattern. It's called GO! Rob Peter to Pay Paul-(7" Finished) (2-Die Set) Die. It will make the fussy cutting of the alpha letters very easy and sewing the curves. No snow ball blocks.

I'm sorry that you fell today. You have to be careful. I have to use a walker when I go out. In 2022 my legs decided they had held me up long enough. I had back surgery and thankfully at least I can get around with the walker. Sending Light and Love to you that you will stay upright. ❤🙏❤

Oh Holly..i am glad you are ok. I fall, too. Last time, I put my arms out straight to break the fall and ripped my rotator cuff. Surgery and 5 months of exercises 3x a day and PT 2x a week. But I am fine now.
I would suggest a hot soak in epsom salts and Tiger Balm ointment.

I think I like the Graffiti fabric but was difficult to tell. Would have liked to see the fq opened and in better camera range. The alphabet fabric was also cool.
Hi Holly, so sorry you had a crappy day. Tomorrow will be better I'm sure. Not a fan of Marcia Derse fabrics or the patterns, just not my style. Dandelion looks like she's hiding in the grass waiting to pounce on a squirrel. See you tomorrow.
