    I own a brilliant silver metallic 2010 first year gen 1 Ford Fusion Sport. Mine looks identical to yours but mine has the older dash setup with info center on dash instead of steering wheel and mine has the thicker bolstered shiny leather seats with the racing blue perforated inserts with matching dash trim. The engine is actually a 3.5 DOHC Cyclone H.O. 24V big V6 and it was also used as a variant in the Mustangs of same era as my uncle has a 2014 Mustang with it and it is very powerful and fast for a V6. More like a V8 honestly! My car was bought brand new off the showroom floor by my Dad originally and has an early build date of 6/09 stamped in the door. Another odd feature mine has is the chrome accents are not smoked and the front passenger seat folds forwards flat like the 2008-09s had as an option. ( havent seen any 2010 and newer do this or even advertise this feature in the brochures). I absolutely love my car and it is in excellent condition as its been stored winters since new. My Dad has owned Tauruses before and an Sable all were silver and decked out models comparable to this car. We also owned Rangers too as I'm also a huge fan of! I consider this a "SHO JR." And a rare breed collectible for sure as Ford didn't make many of these and you hardly see any now! My advice keep it and keep yours nice because these were great cars that most people didn't know even existed! True sleepers 👍💓😎

    • @99MCougar
      @99MCougar 2 роки тому +1

      Right on! Glad you enjoy the car. For whatever reason Ford still calls it a Duratec but it is in the Cyclone engine family. The Mustang had the 3.7L Cyclone which is basically just a bigger version of our engine with 305hp. As far as the chrome goes the 2010’s had the regular chrome, 2011’s were slightly darker and 2012’s were even darker then the 2011’s. The amount of bolstering was the same throughout all model years, they just had the option of red or blue inserts.
      That’s great to hear yours stayed in the family! They really are like a baby SHO haha.

    Yours is either a 2011 or 2012 model in the video review. I have a 2010 mine is an early production Sport with a build date of 6/09 mine seems a bit different from the other years but in a good way!

    • @99MCougar
      @99MCougar 4 роки тому +1

      Matt Hybel there is a few differences between the years, mainly the grille is a a bit darker in the 2011 and even darker on the 2012’s. I think the wheels are the same. In the USA they had FWD models as well as AWD while here in Canada they only offered AWD. I’m curious what other differences you have

    • @matthybel955
      @matthybel955 4 роки тому +1

      @@99MCougar my info buttons are not on the steering wheel they're on the left side near the trunk, headlight switches more like the 2006 to 2009s. And also mine has a rare interior I rarely see, its thicker bolstered leather seats with sport blue perforated inserts , also my front passenger seat folds flat forwards like the 2009 models did. Other differences are mine has side door molding straps like the 09s too and mine is the Sport but doesn't have all the extra silver trim on the console or that extra electronics package with the DVD, GPS or Bliss side mirror sensors or speed sensors with backup camera on the outside, mines more basic which i like its biggest best feature is the 6 disk Sony sound system. I know for a fact that was on 2011s and 12s. I do have the 3.5 Duratec with Aisin 6speed select shift transmission which is the best you can get in the Fusions the 6F35s were garbage, I also have the power moonroof . My wheels are the same but painted more of a glossy metallic silver polished look. Also my side mirrors are not heated nor body colored whatsoever they're a molded black like the Taurus SHOs of the same era this car was bought off the showroom floor back in 2010 was my Dads car originally. He had good taste! The build date on mine is 6/09 so very early 2010 model is why I'm guessing it has some differences, guess you could say a prototype design they later improved on possibly with the layouts also my chrome grill and trim on the exterior are bright chrome not darker tinted chrome like yours

    • @99MCougar
      @99MCougar 4 роки тому

      Matt Hybel sounds like you just have some different packages on yours. The things you mentioned were all available in the 2010-2012 Fusion’s. Minus the grille and wheels. The fold down seat was hit and miss on the 2011 and I think some 2012s had it too.
