Riigghhtt, it’s all about numbers for them though and Lord knows, this off grid Nomad nightmare deserves the UA-cam numbers game for effort. I even sat through the ads for him. This is sad, what a situation to be stuck in! Late risers or not, definitely model members of societies. Maybe just don’t bring so much booze up the hill on the one wheel.

Many towns/counties these days it’s legal to drive a non plated vehicle to town to get gas/provisions, deep sockets etc. makes sense when their economy is based on the tourists with the side by sides, dirt bikes etc. Eagle, CO, and lots in Southern CO.

Dude those small town auto shops are so nice. My battery died in Fruita Colorado back in 2017 and on a Sunday morning they opened the shop and came in and switched it out for us. Through talking found out my husband was a mechanic, asked him for help with a few things like pushing other dead cars around the shop and stuff that takes a lot of muscle and then didn’t even charge us for labor. So nice of them.

This video just made me go check the socket in my 7.3's travel kit and sure enough it doesn't fit all the way. You're suffering on video just saved me the same problem some day lol.
Side note, CNC Fab makes a 4 line fuel feed bowl delete setup that will open up a lot of room in that area and it makes a noticeable difference in starting, cold running, and even made my E99 idle quieter. Great simple upgrade for a stock or built 7.3 like mine. You will also have to add a filter back into the system obviously. I went with a FASS pump kit about 3 years ago and have had no issues so far. Absolutely sweet truck you have here, it's really motivated me to keep pushing progress on my camper shell build I'm doing with mine for extended fishing and hunting trips around the US.

It’s a shame to have to have such a magical view, forever ruined for you cause you had to look at it too long. And thanks for putting the really ugly part of Nomad life out there! 7.3 psd - fuel check, open water outlet valve on fuel bowl while cranking over engine. Fuel should flow out...
Check #2- take off IPC electrical connection. (Sends idm into a map setting) truck will start but run funny.
If no fuel in bowl... Check tank fuel level and if dual tank diverter valve... Check fuel level in tank also.
Do not just think" oh, fuel pump is bad..." Do not over think the engine they are really simple. Cps, Fuel, ipc, ipr... Check engine oil level also...

sorry this happened man, but keep in mind that for me this was a reminder of what adventure really is! with risk comes reward, and with adventure comes risk... when these stories are over they suddenly become part of the satisfaction of your overall adventure, and a reminder that you yourself are capable of overcoming such things.... also of the good in people that help you out... My old 06 duramax wouldn't start a number of years ago, and I was stuck at my moms in a very isolated VA town... After trying everything I could in town, out of desperation, I went online and found some website where professionals in all walks of life/ professions can go to earn money answering questions from people like me. An hour after posting a brief explanation my problem a "master certified" GM mechanic got back to me saying to get a wire and connect it between a frame bolt and the heat sync of the computer module... something that is 10,000% something that would ever come to mind of myself or even the average mechanic.... seemed random, but I tried it and holy S#$t, it worked immediately.... The website had an option to donate to him, so I sent him $100... both to motivate him to keep doing what he was doing, and to inspire more people to share their knowledge. He had no idea how much he saved me (though I'm sure the $100 clued him in!)... you're the man... kept your cool, but most importantly persisted!!! good on you!

If no fuel come out you have a problem with the fuel pump, do this before replacing the fuel pump, you will save a lot of money and time. Give me the result and I will tell you the next step.

PEOPLE THIS HAPPENED WEEKS AGO! Tim, calling on the four wheel drive community would have been a good thing to do early in this but you wouldn't have this epic content for us to watch. and the four wheel drive community would with out a doubt do what ever is necessary to get you to where you could get your rig fixed. we leave nobody behind and broken, and it always gets paid forward. and the views you had to suffer through all those days.....

His positivity???? I always say how much he constantly complains for someone with such a "chill" life. Everything seems a hassle with him, I watch and feel better I don't have things so rough at my job.

@@Steve-dy1wf A chill life? From what I see the guy works his ass off to be able to live life the way he wants to live it (something I admire). I guess when you are always traveling and living in a truck you may be more prone to having issues then the average person but I don't think he constantly complains about it? If you lived in a truck, you would probably have just as many setbacks and you might even let it get you a bit down from time to time. Anyway, nobody is forcing you to watch if you find it so appalling.

I pulled my friends f250 with artic fox camper all the way up the Baja to San Felipe before we could get it repaired with my 96 keep Cherokee. Average speed was 12 mph. It was hell but we made it. Everyone breaks down but I drive a Cummings they are a lot Easter to repair in the trail.

You def handling it staying calm but stressed out like crazy. But hey your not alone. And out in the winter weather of Alaska. And just think you shouldn't have any issues for awhile if you changed out all them parts and a fuel pump for awhile.
