I wish I could convey to you guys what it was like to attend his concert. I saw tons of shows in the 70s and there was nothing and I mean nothing like seeing Elvis in person.I mean from the time you got that golden ticket in your hand, then decide what to wear, the trip to the arena, and then you arrive. The atmosphere was absolutely magical. Then came the awesome orchestra buildup. Today those memories can still bring me to tears.

When he walked into Sun Records in 1953 they asked him what he sang and who he sounded like..."I sing all kinds and I don't sound like nobody." One of the reasons his 70s material is so good is because it is DEEP. I love message songs. A great one he did is called "For The Good Times"... It's along the same lines as this one. Just beautiful. Since that point he went more downhill with his health and prescription drug use. Watch his facial expressions when he sings those songs.
