Our boots were usally damp most of the day however, due to the high temperatures in the afternoon and night they would be relitively dry each morning! Multiple pairs of socks are a must though!
The DRZ's are tough and almost indestructible, so they are very well suited to that environment. They aren't the fastest so they keep you out of trouble and they are also very comfy so helped on those long days on the bike 👌🏼

We went in October and it was hot, September should be the perfect time 👌🏼But you can't escape the heat in QLD!

I did this trip on a fully loaded bicycle and a tent
I thought it was 6 days to tip and back ! Is this a 12 day trip ?

It was day 3 actually..he was being a hero on the dirt road ,with no idea.. and got launched.
In these conditions it seems like survival rather than fun. Not my cup of tea. Prefer the cooler tracks of Victoria.
