Syed Hijaz Mehdi Naqvi is a poet and has been teaching Urdu Poetics & Poetry, Ilm e Urooz/Prosody at Hast o Neest for more than five years. He is the co-founder of Ghalib o Mir - miroghalib.com/ - which aims to instill 'a sense of purpose and meaning' through poetry. His book on poetics/prosody/ilm e Urooz titled Urdu Shairi ki Kitab was published in 2023 by Hast o Neest. He belongs to a family of scholars, and has studied in Iran and Pakistan.
