特徵：
體長15~18公分。虹膜暗褐色。上嘴褐色，下嘴肉色。腳肉黃色。
雌雄羽色相似。頭頂、後頸黃褐色、滿布黑褐色縱紋，頭頂有短羽冠，背部褐色，黑色縱紋較粗。眼先、眉紋棕白色，耳羽淡棕栗色，頰褐色，具黑褐色細紋。翼黑褐色，羽緣淡棕色，尾羽黑褐色，羽緣棕白色，最外側一對尾羽白色。喉乳黃色，頸側、胸黃褐色，有黑褐色縱紋延伸至脇部，腹部淺黃褐色。
分布：
歐亞大陸、非洲北部、阿拉伯半島中北部。
台灣有兩個亞種，一為台灣雲雀，屬A.g.wattersi亞種；二為澎湖雲雀，屬A.g.coelinox亞種。主要棲息於低海拔之旱田、草原、沙丘、牧場等較寬廣地區。

Feature:
The body length is 15-18 cm. Iris dark brown. The upper mouth is brown, and the lower mouth is flesh-colored. The flesh of the feet is yellow.
Male and female feathers are similar. The top of the head and the back of the neck are yellowish brown, covered with dark brown longitudinal stripes, with a short crest on the top of the head, the back is brown, and the black longitudinal stripes are thicker. Eyes and eyebrows brownish white, ear feathers light brown chestnut, cheeks brown, with dark brown fine lines. Wings are dark brown, feather margins are light brown, tail feathers are dark brown, feather margins are brownish white, and the outermost pair of tail feathers are white. Throat creamy yellow, neck side and chest yellowish brown, with dark brown longitudinal stripes extending to flanks, abdomen light yellowish brown.
Distributed:
Eurasia, northern Africa, central and northern Arabian Peninsula.
There are two subspecies in Taiwan, one is the Taiwan skylark, which belongs to the A.g.wattersi subspecies; the other is the Penghu skylark, which belongs to the A.g.coelinox subspecies. It mainly inhabits broad areas such as dry fields, grasslands, sand dunes, and pastures at low altitudes.
