Castlevania Dracula X (SNES) Final Boss Dracula - No Damage, No Sub Weapons

- Castlevania Dracula X (SNES) Boss 7 (Final) Dracula Vlad Tepes - No Damage, No Sub Weapons. It's the hardest boss in the game. He's not only hard, but also is terribly long. The first form - is a test for your nerves. You have to know his moves very well, and you can make no mistake. The second form is a much faster, but also is a much harder. I still wonder how I did it... I do not advise anyone to try it again.
That day, Dracula finally realized the best way to defeat a vampire hunter is not turning into giant monster or shooting fireballs crazily. He just needs to not repair the floor.
Just before Richter got there, Dracula remembered a great joke Death had told him earlier.
He was thinking of all the poor saps who would be opening this game up on Christmas morning, 1996, thinking it would be an SNES port of Rondo of Blood. No, I'm not still bitter.
Jason X At least they ended up with a better game.
Now that's just blasphemy.
Jason X Sorry man, I love both but I honestly prefer Dracula XX. Mainly due to the graphics and the music, and also that the Dracula fight is so much better - though I'll admit, Rondo of Blood has a much better selection of bosses over all, especially the CV1 re-fights.
Well it certainly isn't an awful game, and it does get somewhat unfairly maligned by modern gamers.
Man, whoever designed this game REALLY liked bottomless pits. The most apparent being here.
bottomless pits with some random portals to other levels
For those people looking for "an easy way" or tips to beat this boss there's basically 2 major tips:
1) Pick the Axe, don't even doubt it, pick it
2) The secret to this boss is something not many people realize until someone tells them - You get NO KNOCKBACK if you're attacked while crouching. This is FUNDAMENTAL for this fight if you don't want to die an easy death and you aren't looking for a perfect run.
This mechanic is disabled in Hard mode.
With the Cross you can hit his first form up to 4 times if timed it right.
The axe does double normal damage already, and the arc is really helpful to reach Dracula's head from most positions. Most of all, the axe will also be extra effective against the second form.
This fight is cheap for sure, but it's not like you don't have the tools and knowledge to beat it in one sitting. Rondo of Blood's version was possibly the easiest classic Dracula fight and that's why Dracula X had to buff him this match. Even Symphony of the Night acknowledges how easy the fight was by making it the prologue of the game.
UA-cam Renegade hard mode is in most classic castlevanias
This boss doesn't seem difficult
I know bottomless pits have always been classic Castlevania's thing, but this game went a tad overboard. The fact that falling into one pit in particular can lock you into the bad ending is bad enough, but who in the world thought Dracula needed to be fought over one? Yeah, Rondo of Blood's Dracula was a cakewalk, but there's gotta be a happy medium between the two.
also Richter's controls are so clunky in this game, it doesn't help that much
And no invisibility time after being hit.
Just imagine if this was the official boss fight for Rondo of Blood instead. Probably nobody would be able to start Symphony of the Night.
3 and a half minutes of "AHAHAHAHA", it'd be some shit if you slipped off the edge while getting the orb.
Ryuzekia that happened to me once. I was screaming.
There has never been a Dracula ever to sound THIS much like Count Von Count.
One FireBall...Two FireBall... Three FireBall.. Hahahaha
Richter: "Die, monster! You don't belong in this world!"
Dracula: "Mwahahahahaha!"
Richter: "(Psst. That wasn't your line.) Uh, you steal men's souls and make them your slaves!"
Dracula: "Mwahahahahaha!"
Richter: "(He didn't show up drunk again, did he?) Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!"
Dracula: "What is a....mwahahahahaha!"
Dracula: "Behold my true form and... mwahahahahaha!"
Dracula- "No it cannot be! Mwahahahahaha!!!"
+foxhound900 What is a muhahaha. A miserable little pile of muhahaha. But enough muhahaha, have at muhahaha
M.A. Moreno : ROFL!!!
Dracula: Now is the time to put aside your weak human side and join me to ... Mwahahahahaha!
*Alucard facepalms*
that had to be some good weed this guys smoked

One of the proudest gamer moments of my life was beating this with the best ending. It took many attempts.
Rescuing the girls or beating Lord Dracula? Because Maria Renard's rescue was the pain in the ass to me, having to keep that key while bats and ground enemies were trying to kill you, and then go through the door to the level where Annette is held captive. If you recorded the passwords after getting Maria and Annette, the battle was halfway won!
Both. Rescuing the girls is probably harder because there's more places to screw up, but Dracula takes a ton of patience.
rareroe305 I've currently got his first form down, and his second form was brought to a quarter inch from death before the blue concussive wave got me. If only I performed an Item Crash then, I'd save myself from doing this one more time!
one of my proudest gamer moments was beating castlevania 3 for the nes, wich is a harder game
@@brandonhatch2154 I know I'm 7 years late on this, but playing today I found using the item crash with the Key can be helpful because enemies pass through you and if they touch the key they die
Oh yes, my favorite Castlevania boss...
Demon Dracula...in a Speedo
😳
Take a shot every time dracula laughs challenge.
I remember beating this game... it took me all morning long to finally beat it... ugh painful.
3 minutes of not getting hit AT ALL while listening to "MHA HA HA HA!". Did they even test the last boss?
I remember this! I got to him on a cold Saturday morning! I couldn't believe you had to fight him over a gaping pit! As if Dracula weren't enough! My hands were shaking and I was drenched in sweat, but I beat him with one bar of life left on my meter!
Funny how Dracula keeps laughing even though you keep beating him like a drum and he's not able to hit you once.
"HA, HA, HA! I'm getting my ass handed to me! HA, HA, HA!"
"When I'm alone, I count myself. One count!" *gets whipped in the face*
While I was watching this my dad was watching the movie Van Helsing downstairs. Right as it gets to the part where Dracula dies in this video, I hear Dracula from the movie downstairs scream, "VAN HELSING!!!!" Most epic thing ever.
3:49 Dracula:Playtime's over give me muhahaha!!!!!!
A legend was born
When Dracula doesn't pay his architects to fix his castle.
3:47 (always hated the laughing so...)
Dracula: Enough of this!
Give!
ME!
POWAH!!!! (and better lines)
Richter: Die monster. You don't belong in this world!
Dracula: it was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute.
Richter: Tribute!?! You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!
Dracula: Perhaps the same could be said of all religions...
Richter: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!
Dracula: What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk... Have at you!
Wow, Dracula turns into Devil Kazuya!!! oh, it's the other way around
Amazing work, thats what you call a pro :)
Keep up the good work man
The most powerful thing in this battle is neither Richter nor Dracula, but the floor.
It's like a secret test of character. You must not be greedy and try to get too many hits in. Or else that's it for you.
@LukeNikolau LIsten to the background music. It is approximately coordinated with the lava balls, unless you take so long they desync.
**watching the video** So...this was my past life? O_o
ShinobiKirby Really? -__-
Soma Cruz Come on, Soma. You are related to Dracula after all.
ShinobiKirby I'm his reincarnation.
+Soma Cruz All the same.
ShinobiKirby :/
talk about a bad case of the giggles...
Legend of undisputed Boss Slayer born... With his ability not taking damage.
This Is The Start Of A Legend.
Yes
I love how Dracula's laugh in this game sounds like the fucking Count from Sesame Street
I do like the artistic renditions of the Rondo of Blood ending. For some reason seeing the sun rise and then Dracula's face one last time makes it somber. Despite his death, the cycle will continue once he wakes again. And he may even be a little... remorseful about it.
Dracula has a much better laughing sound in this game than in rondo
FR! The sound design for this game was just WOW! Easily my favorite Dracula laugh with the Japanese Portrait of Ruin version being a runner up
Oh yeah! And evil Soma's laugh from Dawn of Sorrow is another great one!
Dracula used "speedo of power!" it's not very effective...
Eu gostaria de saber quem foi o programador dessa parte, para eu ter uma breve conversa pacífica.
@capgamer, sometimes if you're at the edge of a platform and you fall in the opposite direction, you don't fall into the pit. I used an emulator, so it might not work on an actual SNES.
La batalla de final boss más jodidamente épica de la Super Nintendo.
Что тут сказать... Великолепно. :)
Нихуя привет
A legend is born.
Goddamn, even in 16-bit, Dance of Illusions sounds amazing!
Looking at this game now. For a SNES game that graphics aren't too bad.
Castlevania Dracula X (Snes) is the reduced (port) version of Akumajou Dracula X Chi No Rondo (Castlevania Rondo Of Blood)...
Rondo Of Blood is the direct prequel to SotN.
Castlevania Dracula X is a retelling.
How long have you been playing games? You're a lot better than I am. This is still one of the hardest bosses I ever fought. I hardly use subweapons when I play a Castlevania game, but I do like Richter's flame whip attack.
* after falling off ledge for 18th time * If I had Frenzy Whip, Dracula, YOU WOULD BE F**KING DEAD RIGHT NOW!!
A este final boss solo le faltaron medusas viniendo de lado y lado, ahí sí atenganse y no corran, jajajajaja.
Xdddddddddddd
Not only the platforms, but also he has greater speed and attack in this version compared to Rondo of Blood.
goddammit Dracula, whats so fucking funny?
It's like the game is literally laughing at you.
Took me the entire game plus 5 deaths at dracula to figure out that if you hold the jump button, u can change the direction the jump goes mid air smh
That was very well done! Still, I prefer the original version of Dracula X (PC Engine) over this one. It's so much better!
So, this is your very first video? How much videos did you made because i want to have separate playlist with all Boss fight videos.
*_a legend is reborn_*
0:00 a legend was born
The beginning of a legend
Original:Demon Goat
SNES:Satan
This really is just Rondo of Blood at home.
Technically, Shadowserg is playing the Japanese version, not Dracula X.
The US version we got was slowed down for some horrible reason >=(
O segredo é ter calma minha gente, e o machado claro.
@simplyxwilliam No, rondo of blood is for another sistem, the SNES cartdirge was unable to keep all the info for rondo of blood, so Konami took some parts of it, added some other to make it kid of original and then make Dracula X, so they are diferent in teh game, but the same in teh background story.
Dracula laughing like Colonel Bahamut in Contra Hard corps Bad ending
I never fully understood why when Dracula transforms, he is susceptible to damage on any part of his body (at least most of the time). I mean if his humanoid form only takes damage in the head of upper body, why lower your physical durability? I never liked Dracula only taking damage in the head, it just confuses me how the VAMPIRE KILLER, cannot damage his VAMPIRE body.
My respect for you dude
Came here because of the Nerd, said it was IMFUCKINPOSSIBLE
Yet here I see it is.
Just hella patience. Good job!
Dracula:Safety word is Alucard.😂
Red's fight before Red, but in 2D.
(Talkin about Red from X7)
So I'm guessing that this game was the predecessor to Symphony of the Night. This has the same music as the beginning of SOTN and it says it's the final stage in SOTN.
Rondo of Blood was more accurated to the predecessor, u will notice by the Dracula Sprite
Dracula X was the westernized version for SNES, is good and has a more challenging Dracula as u can see but lacks a lot of content from Rondo while at same time has its own exclusive zones
Did anyone notice that Dario Bossi's laugh from Dawn of Sorrow was inspired by this Dracula's laugh? i think so.
The only problem is that if you know how to survive taking a hit, you pretty much know how to not take damage anyways, so it's almost a mute point. Especially on the first form. Maybe not as much for the second form.
@EveryoneCry, So you are saying that his cape gives him immunity to damage? Why not wear a hood then? Sure it will look stupid, but at least he will be indestructible. Also, in PoR, he takes damage in his upper body, most of which is covered with his cape.
Dracula is one big son of a bitch ain't he? Jeepers.......
Wow he turns onto a devil with a spedo
Three! Three fireballs!
Two! Two Meteors! HAHAHAHAHA
There he is, Dracula, the evil personified...
Dracula: "LOLOLO! Sry for ruining the fight man, can't get that joke out of my head I read the other day! Let's try again in another 100 years!"
Dracula: the only person/entity in all of fiction that can escape death AND taxes.
you are one of the best castlevania players ive ever saw....
The music and S.E are much better than Rondo of Blood and the difficult of Dracula is much more hard, those are great points of this conversion :D
This battle was a pain for me when I was younger.
I can't understand why people think this is a terrible game? Like, okay even tho snes music is amazing, compared to CD music you cant compare really, but if rondo of bloods music was not on cd, i bet it would have sounded like shit. Dracula X looks a million times better than Rondo of blood. The controls are still tight and responsive... I dunno X is still great in my opinion.
Cool....this is what I call a battle...the music is awesome...pure bad ass.=)
This leads to castlevania symphony of the night
No. Rondo of Blood does.
+Soma Cruz Same difference numbnuts. You roleplay a Castlevania character yet can't see past your crap lol

stfu bitch
@punkdude1994
i have to admit Dracula in the original Castlevania was harder for me. But after i figured out how to "get him" i could do it. Dracula X was pretty unfair but somehow i kicked his ass after only ~ 10 tries.
Next Game on my list is Simons Quest which seems pretty stupid ;D
When avgn does it, it makes it look impoosible, however when people lik you do it, it makes it look easy.
@knuddelwuschel Actually i think simon's quest is a decent castlevania game , the reason they hated it so much back then was because it was non-linear style , and they didnt know where to go or what to do , but these days there are faqs and walkthroughs you can use , i have to admit i couldnt progress in simons quest without the help of a walkthrough :P
Dracula finds something amusing.
@Mrgodofwar89766 Because that's how it is since the very first game of the franchise on nes.
I think that Dracula and Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty, would make a great couple! they both look similiar. that high collar and long robe
Drac is easy if you're willing to use subweapons. Axe makes very short work of both his forms. Though without subweapons like in the video, it's very, very tough.
Must of farted at the end to go up in smoke
For this boss fight you pretty much HAVE TO do this with no damage or else you'll get knocked back and into the abyss!
Even to this day I still don't know why Dracula finds teleporting so funny.
Childhood memories could never beat him
God this music frightens me. Makes think of how getting hiv tested was like.
Tribute Guy
What the F xD
OMFG that was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you sure are one of the greatest!!
great job on killing him without any sub weapons and without taking damage. Although on the first form each time you jump over the hellfire attack you could have landed a second attack easily.
What's so funny, count?
XD you know? this was the first game i played on this year, i'ts cool when you have the SNES.
And the fact i hate of the third and final stages are the pillars, in this battle i stood still in the center and the axe is my best option, btw, good work there, this version of dracula is one of the most difficult in my opinion
5/5
@therealhardrock no way
dracs 2nd form in ROB/the game that this was based on is a little like the drac from the original CV and not "a devil wearing a speedo"(yes, that was an AVGN quote)
imagine you jump and missed grabbing the orb you fail down aarrggg!!!!!
Why did the developers feel it was necessary to change this level from the original?
First Video Boss fight
The 2nd version of Dracula on a chicken broccoli diet and went to compete in Mr Olympia after Ritcher Defeats him 🤣🤣
