Excelente la información y muy buena la explicación , usé el traductor al castellano y es completamente comprensible ! Gracias amigo por la info y explicación ! Sigue así ! Abrazo y bendiciones !
Great tutorial, but I need your help. The smd resistor on my oven control board is printed with 295. Is that a 1 Mega ohm resistor? Correct me if I'm wrong. I can't find it online.
why on earth they cant just print actual value? whts so hard ? for capacitor engineers have no issues printing long number like 50v 47uF, 25v 10uF, 400v 1uF !!!!! but for resistor either colour code or this kind of coding !! WHY >??????
When the body of the resistor is big enough to read the print, such as large power resistor, the rating is generally printed onto the body of the resistor, But if they are very tiny, and it is challenging to print resistance values on them. So, colour bands and codes are printed on them to represent their electrical resistance. Even some Capacitors (Ceramic capacitors and SMD capacitors) have codes printed on them.
