@@mickmars8319 as it currently stands I haven't got a list for D-Day yet, though I full intend on changing that. Right now I have North africa, and my late war plans are to make both a green unit and a veterans unit, the former only with the most bog standard vehicles and the latter with varying versions but add on armours and a looot of stowage
So I am seeing your criticism of the force build options. But here is the thing. You can build more Hornisse at a cost of not building the Hummels. It means your force will actually cost more because the Hornisse are more expensive. But there is flexibility in the build still as the only part of the force that is compulsory are those in the black boxes in the Company Formation meaning that the Hummels are not compulsory. Et voila you have a stronger Hornisse platoon or possibly two Platoons of Hornisse. While they are not so tough you can keep them in the back and support the Jagdpanthers with the Mk IV's and Pumas which I guess is heading into the field of tactics.
Yup, good catch. Though, I am not sure adding in another platoon of Hornisse is such a great option. Yes, it gives you more bodies in the formation, but very squishy ones suited only to sniping. We put some ideas of how to add to the list in our member's cut, if you'd like to see what we'd recommend. 😉
Ugh. Pairing Jagdpanthers and Hornisses is having two of the worst vehicles in the game in value. Of course Hornisses can go brrr, but they're so expensive and they can't hold objectives for shit. I'd really pair Jagdpanthers with some StuGs and set my list on Market Garden (scenario not covered by the present edition), the unit would be the 559th Tank Destroyer Battalion.
You've expertly narrated the whole deal, including the shortcomings that the basic list has. I just find Jagdpanthers terrible value in the game, so I would never make a list around them (Panthers are a whole different story). In fact, I had an old box of 3, and after testing them with a 559th Tank Destroyer Battalion list, I sold them to a friend. They're clunky, but so beautiful...
Well, thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. The jagdpanthers are hugely over priced, but, as you say... something about an assault gun. It starts with the STuG life, and before you know it, it's Jagdtigers all the way down!
In theory, yes, but I think you'll be light a set of schürzen. So one will have it, the other not. If you can live with that, or print your own, no problem.
Nice video. I am trying to get a buddy into the game. He is interested in Soviets, but cant decide on Mid-war or Late-war. I told him if he gets any of the two-army starter sets I will split them with him, as I collect Germans. Any advice? I told him some Mid-war stuff can be used in late war, so I suggest Kursk.
I have yet to see a starter kit that suits my needs: Pure Sherman tank force. Nothing else.
You're a braver one than me if all you want to take is Shermans!
@@thedicegodswg I have tried so many infantry but they always look so cartoony... granted my older shermans also do but that's besides the point
IDK about only Shermans, but a full Sherman company from DDay plus support is quite good.

I wonder if you could actually swap top part of hulls for panther and jagdpanther by using small neodymium magnets instead of gluing them

I'd suggest mid-war. That's next on the release schedule, so I expect late-war to get harder to source as mid comes on stream.
@@thedicegodswg How soon is soon?
I am looking to get into midwar, but have been put off by lack of availability.
