Do you know that you can use malt syrup to make the same candies without adding any sugar at all you just have to wait till the malt syrup boils and then dip your fruit in it will still come out with a hard candy crust and it will taste really good another thing you can make even flavored candies with it I recommend rice syrup because it's digested better by the body and does not raise blood sugar and this is coming from a diabetic who has checked it out on herself.
I'm surprised you didn't dip them in cold water icy water right after you coated them because won't it stick to your tray that the wooden tray you put it on?

Aren't grapes a bit redundant I'm just saying it's kind of like putting sugar on sugar I mean it doesn't make sense to me because grapes are naturally sweet their natures candy to begin with so I don't see the point in turning them into candy when they're kind of like candy anyway one grape has more sugar than a teaspoon of sugar does.
