- In the first NBA game of the 2018-19 season, the Celtics are led by Jayson Tatum with 23 points and 9 rebounds, in a 105-87 victory vs the 76ers. Joel Embiid adds a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds with Ben Simmons coming up two assists shy of a triple-double with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists.

Boston is just a nightmare matchup for Embiid. Horford and Baynes neutralize him on one end, and then 5 different guys with ball handling skills attack him on switches on the other end.

Embiid defers much too much to his teammates and that makes him tentative. Against a team as deep as Boston and effective on both ends they will make him pay. He has to be decisive and do so way faster than he did in this game to really get his way with Boston.

Jayson Tatum, Ben Simmons, Kristaps Porzingus, Devin Booker and Karl Anthony-Towns are all in the same conversation though and I'd put Tatum over all of those I mentioned with him

Um...he won Cleveland a NBA title. LeBron dissappeared in the last two games in the last two minutes while Kyrie took over. Until Tatum does that, he's not in Kyrie's league.

The great players show up in the clutch, the Birds, Jordans, Miller as much as they do all game long.
