It's a useful tutorial. ATX power supplies are complicated but going deep down the schematic has helped. Power supply troubleshooting is the most interesting part in electronics repair for most of the techs. It's sad that ATX power supplies don't hold much value for repair businesses these days because they are inexpensive and easy to replace. Anyway, it's rich and informative tutorial that I should keep as a reference. Thank you!

Assalam Alaikum Warahmatu allah wabarakatuho, thanks for this awesome video tutorial, Sir i have an 300w HP ATX ps, i follow up your tutorial and i checked the purple and the green wire its showing 5V, but when i shorten the green wire with the black the lamp 75w keep on switching on and off so the power supply, kindly advise.
please use 100 watt or 200 watt lamp. if same problem then if it is PFC based circuit, then check MOSFET for PFC portion and check MOSFETs or Transistors for High Power section

Sir my TL494 pin 12 show 14.4 volt but when I connect black and green cable pin 12 show 15 volt, this is normal or not ?? And if I connet externally 5 volt to green cable I should control on TL494 pin 13 and what should I see pin 13 ??

Not rly. I aloways try to fix. PSU especially in laser printers...
laser printer psus are slightly complicated due to dual nature power supplies. best wishes

Its looks like a dead short. Just voltage slightly increase and drop quick at power on.

power good signal provides surety to CPU that the power supply is working normally and its voltages are within limits
