I’m a tomboy woman. As a child I hated being a girl, I got along with boys better than girls, I preferred boy toys, hated dresses, etc.
Thank GOD my parents weren’t wackadoos. I just didn’t like people making assumptions about me because I was a girl. And being a tomboy is okay, I’m still female. I’m a grown woman now, still not super effeminate, but not against being what I am either. I literally dream about becoming a stay at home mom. I wanna marry my best male friend. He didn't have to have his hair fussed with, he maybe was more advanced physically than she was and could do things before she could....a whole laundry list of things and behaviors could have played into this and none of them would lead to her parents deciding that 'oh yeah, she's really a boy' if that wasn't the flavor of the year, so to speak. And back and forth we went, giggling all the way.
    On the other hand…
My autistic 6-year-old son was asked for his pronouns by a special Ed evaluator (to my knowledge it was the first time he encountered such ideas), and while I wasn’t there for the interaction, what I do know is that my son cries now if he accidentally says “a girl word” like “beautiful,” which has become a point of perseveration for him.
He sneakily borrowed “Pinkalicious” from the school library. When I found the book he tried saying he borrowed it for his sister…
I told him, “BOYS ARE ALLOWED TO READ IT TOO! BOYS CAN LIKE GIRLY THINGS AND STILL BE BOYS!!”
I can’t tell you how much damage I’ve already had to undo as a result of “harmless” pronoun talk with my 1st grader that I never consented to!
This brand of wokeism prays on vulnerable kids. Some kids shake it off easier, like ny daughter. Some kids, like my AUTISTIC 6-YEAR-OLD, are sucked into a whirlwind of self-doubt. Even PARENTS can hardly compete with the onslaught of wokeness.
I recently learned of local children in my town who identify as cats and use a litter box at school. Anyone who questions the validity is labeled hateful and phobic. These are elementary school children. Is that harmless?? Am I a bigot for feeling sick at the thought that nobody is helping those kids nor their classmates who are forced to act like this is normal and legit?!
YES, we are pulling our children out of the education system.

As a female I grew up wearing boys boxers and saggy jeans and literally fought boys in 5th and 6th grade. I enjoyed being like a boy. I played tag football and was usually quarter back. I even wore cologne because I thought it smell3d better than girl perfumes. I now am married to a male husband and have raised two beautiful kids. Thank God my parents were not dumbasses.

My daughter insisted that she was Spider-Man..
A gentle old soul called her - dressed up as Spider man- “Spidergirl.” She immediately corrected him. She had a Spider-Man themed birthday for her 5 birthday. She lived as Spider-Man and often insisted that she was “Spider-Man.” We allowed her to ware the costume and pretend as much as she wanted. We had one rule about clothing…she got to pick what she wore except when we went to Church or a place that was important to mom or Dad.
She dressed as Spider-Man until the costume fell apart.
She is a beautiful 25 year old woman now. Creative, funny and Spider-Man is still her favorite marvel character. She did not know what being a man was. She did not understand gender at all.
I work with children and two girls will often play family and one will be the dad and the other will be the mom. Kids do not understand the implications of being a girl or boy.

When I hear the parents say that their child ‘refuses’ to wear girl clothes and that they ask her every day if she feels like a boy or a girl, I hear a lack of parental authority as the loving, adults in the home and the lack of proper discipline of teaching and correcting children. My generation- those raising children who are not yet grown- have become slaves to the whims and feelings of their children. On the one hand, the parents know something is not right, and they express frustration that their children throw tantrums and disobey and are ‘wild,’ and yet, they undermine their responsibilities as parents, don’t provide effective and caring discipline, and then hope that their children will ‘just grow out of it.’ As TikTok illustrates, they don’t grow out of it.
Currently, my youngest child, a just turned 3 year old, is being taught to ask politely for what she wants/needs, instead of whining for it and making demands. I have seen countless times that a child whines for something, and the parents attempt to pacify the child and coddle them, ‘Wait just a moment, baby. I’ll get you what you need. Here you go. It’s okay.’ When instead, we should be teaching them the proper way to ask for what they want and need. ‘No, no, no. We don’t fuss and whine when we need something. You would like water? Say, ‘May I have water please?’’ And when I am first teaching my toddlers to ask politely for what they need, I have them repeat after me word for word. Then, over time, I say the whole phrase, and they repeat the whole phrase; then we get to a point where I simply say, ‘ask politely please.’ Their words are not always articulated clearly in their toddler-ese, but their brain understands the difference between ‘I am whining/demanding something,’ and ‘I am asking politely for what I need.’ And as they do begin to speak more clearly, the good manners and respectful communication continues without reminders or instruction from me to ‘ask politely, please!’ This is our parental responsibility to kindly teach our children what is and is not acceptable!
Pacifying and coddling children’s folly and ignorance is not serving children well. This is the issue I see at the root of the featured couple’s gender confused child. My two cents!

I also told my mother that I was a boy multiple times, I remember throwing tantrums when my mom dressed me up for church. I ripped out my bows and I would jump into puddles of mud and soak my dresses, I remember other girls being horrified of the way I acted. I would climb trees and play with cars and G.I.Joes. I would even try to pee all the time standing up... I'm not a boy, I was born a girl and didn't feel like a female until the age of 26. I still like doing tomboyish things, now I just look more like a female doing them. Thank goodness I wasn't born during this craziness! I know for a fact my mother would have transitioned me, and that is terrifying.

Kids have many limitations and they tend to be more appreciative of what they can touch and see if they see Dad is stronger than Mommy ("Hey I want to be like Dad"), Mom can cook Dad can't cook (I want to be like mom) so many Superhero males...
