Lets say you're an upcomming rapper making 5.000 a show. I pay you 50.000 dollars for 10 shows. After you've done 5 shows, i delay the other 5 shows. In the meantime during the delay, you blow up. Because you're way more popular now you can easily ask 20.000 for just one show, but you still have to do the 5 shows i only paid 5.000 per show for. This means you're effectively losing 15.000 per show you have to do for me instead of booking 5 new shows for 20.000 a pop. That's 75.000 dollars you're missing out on simply because i delayed the shows and you blew up in the meantime. Basically master p was paying a starting artist rate for 8 shows, but got an established artist for the last 4 shows because of the delay. Where as 50 got a starting artist rate for the last 4 shows while he was already an established artist, losing out on a lot of potential income.
