At 63, I have a lot of friends who would fall victim to this kind of deceptive selling. They had silver in the past, and have regretted selling it, and these TV hucksters really appeal to them. I hope more people cross reference what they hear on TV or the internet, with sources like your channel before they spend their hard earned and saved money!
People need to develop a list of issues that could prevent them from buying gold or silver from anyone. My short list is: 1) never buy from a TV ad - these ads are expensive and the people paying for them are the ones buying these coins; 2) never buy from anyone who will send you a "free" gold or silver kit - these are usually slick full color brochures that are costly to make and mail out to potential buyers; and 3) never buy from a radio ad, the ones that I have heard make my skin crawl with their approach. I'm sure that there are quite a few other characteristics that put people off with these ads. Feel free to add to my short list. Maybe those who really need to see such info will get a look.
Unfortunately, the misrepresentation and price-gouging probably won't be realized until after the purchaser's death, as many buyers of these rip-off schemes are elderly and believe it will be a nice inheritance for their children.
With him marketing the numismatic value at $2168 total, someone should file a complaint with the FTC. @Silver Seeker: great video. I hope you do others along this same theme every once in a while....these fraudsters need to be exposed.
I just saw your video on YT and I loved the passion you showed. I like the fact you called out the guy scamming us. I've been stacking for a couple years now and I remember when I first started I was lucky enough to find an honest coin shop owner who taught me the ropes. I am now a subscriber to your channel. Thank you!
Shouldn't people ask the obvious question why is he trying to sell it to me for $600 when he supposedly could get more than 3x that selling it elsewhere?
My sister sold a bunch of bullion, gold, silver, palladium, and platinum and did not wait for me to price it. There are bags and bags of it and I don't mean little bags I mean big tote bags I had only priced half of it and it was over $100,000 and that's only half of it. Well I was out of town she decided to just do the easy thing and just go to whomever and she sold all of it for $79,000. She really really really got rooked! There are some dishonest people out there and you have to know what you have and how much it's worth before you sell it and you also have to know the same thing before you buy it! Remember the old saying, " buyer beware! "
Don't be so quick to disparage the elderly because anyone over 60 (already!) is referred to as "elderly," and most of us are much more intelligent than that! But you did make an interesting point, and that is this... WHO buy from him, what are the age ranges, on a percentage basis? What % of buyers are young, middle age (40+) or so-called elderly?
@@jsivco3sivco785 absolutely, I was raised to respect the generations before me and I certainly know that the majority of those folks are highly intelligent. Unfortunately in today's age many scams are aimed at the minority of seniors that are not fully aware. I pray for those folks to be guided towards good decisions. I'm sure this guy also scams younger people with intellectual shortcomings as well, which is equally as shameful.
It’s been shown that it’s mainly the elderly who buy into and lose their money to these coin collection and bullion infoscams. What some of these people are doing falls under the category of elder abuse and should be illegal.
This should NOT be aloud! To tell the public that silver is worth way more than he knows it is worth is clearly fraud. Reminds me of the days when Mortgage companies and lenders were in cahoots with the appraisers and would tell prospective buyers that a property was worth way more than it's current value and then getting the buyer to agree to a negatively amortized mortgage or interest only loan!! Everyone of these people should go to jail!
My father paid $79.00 for plated silver eagle coins from Heritage, and Franklin mint and I'm sure he believed they were solid silver so at least this guy is selling real silver. Not saying what he is doing is right but at least it's not a complete fraud like some of the more famous and highly advertised rip offs out there.
I don't even know what to say except that I would never and have never bought anything from tv shows that are just plain LIARS. Thank you Silver Seeker for exposing this with the real truth and facts! Keep up the good work of educating everyone. We need more individuals like you! Thanks again!!!
Stackers Unite and Write Letters to these Television Stations, knowing the name of the Host selling it, and Let them know Their Outright Lie is A Huge Misrepresentation of the True Value, even if one of the Dimes is a 1/10 th OZ of Gold.
Hey Seeker! One way cool coincidence with this is, your friend and mine, Josh @ Minot Coin released a video at nearly the same time as you released this, and he has a 2 day special on the 90% silver the 'clown' is selling!! Only Josh is selling at $0.50 over Spot!!!
False advertising is illegal he should be charged and a lawsuit should be filed if I had seen this o would have purchased one just so I could file a lawsuit against him for the lies
There's a guy here on youtube who makes silver bars and sells it for $50/oz. People are willing to pay idiotic prices for stuff. Imagine buying a 2 kilo bar of silver for $3,250.
If he's using Littleton's pricing, he's probably right on that 'nationally advertised' price. I'm getting ads for common-date, circulated Washington quarters for $26 bucks each.
How are channels like this allowed to exist when they are blatantly price gouging/committing fraud? Thank you silver for exposing these scams, we need more like you doing it, especially since they actually target the elderly
I sold some Morgans and Eagles for less than his SC Quarter price and was happy to get it due to condition of them. I also had a bunch of Mercury dimes that I sold for over melt price
Always buyer beware, I’m in the antique and collectible business and this happens all the time and it doesn’t matter if it’s PMs or not. If you think that is bad check out your local jewelry store.
There's a lot of that stuff going on in the coin industry. I have been looking at early proof sets 1955, and there are a lot of people on ebay and private websites that are asking 200.00 plus for that particular set in the box. The problem I have with these people is that is 70.00 over Redbook prices and on ebay there were about 4 of the very same sets that sold for 120.00 which included delivery. I've checked on what dealers are paying for silver dollars and I couldn't believe that they were as low as 16.00 each with silver at 28.75. Go figure they want to make all the money and they aren't going to take any chances. That's why you keep seeing all of these dealers saying always buy from a reputable dealers, if you didn't noticed they always back up the video with someone who got scammed with fake stuff. The reality of it is that they are running of the biggest ponzy schemes there is in existence. Silver and gold go up and you are going to make a little while they make money both ways.
I went into a coin shop the other day and an employee was like "you know if you rub the 24k buffalos with your thumb long enough itl actually rub off some gold" Like why? You think in some ignorant kid, just because im 30 and your 60?
Seeker your a great person and valued member of the stacking community we appreciate you bringing us this info even though it pushes your button rightfully so appreciate all you do for us to stay educated thank you
Similar to the schill these tv and radio spokesmen offer paper silver and gold. Ask for your shares back in real metal and they hit you with all these “additional” management fees. The buyer can never even recoup their investment. These companies frequently disappear while there is no regulation. So sad they prey on the elderly and fearful. 😢
NEVER buy your coins or bullion from these Home Shopping Networks, no matter how good it sounds... it's a complete SCAM! Stick to your traditional coin shops & online bullion dealers.
The content of this channel is TOP NOTCH. The strategy and science of metals allocation is something all of us in this community should be aware of. Each one teach one. Let's grow as a financially savvy society.
In fairness, he didn’t make those numbers up-they’re accurate Littleton prices. TV sellers like to use them as “nationally advertised prices” but his actual price is in line with competitors like HSN. I agree it’s deceptive though.
These coin dealers are not held to any state licensing laws and have no legal obligation to work in your best interest. It is called puffing in sales and good luck proving any fraud in anything he said there. Even taking him to court will be a further loss after legal fees should you win. It’s a buyer beware world out there so be carful who you do business with and vet them well. Unfortunately most people who realize they were taken advantage of keep it to themselves, think about all the people he has conned in his “career”.
Yelling at the TV won’t do anything, you may not give him your money, but you give him your time and energy, which he feeds off of and hopes to get your money lol
Charging $500 is misrepresenting full stop, not free market, because he is selling it to old people who watch that channel and are easily confused, scammy even if it was legit

There are deals to be had. This is not one of them. I purchased some very nice 'junk' silver dollars that I am very happy with, and the cost was nothing near this.
That's what a complete lack of ethics looks like
I think I know why we don't have this liar's name, and why the comments are turned off for the video...
Edit: I found him. *Every Single Time*
This is exactly what gives precious metals and investing a bad name!!! Scam artists an and outrageous premiums.
Preying on the elderly. Makes it even worse.
Way to call him out we need more of this !!!

Arrest him
Send a email to 1 of the fraud lawyer UA-cam channels & maybe you’ll get a finders fee… ez money!
the federal reserve needs more.
I stubble across him a couple weeks ago… I myself was like WOW… used car salesman would actually be ashamed of a sales pitch like this
The used car business is going broke so he got a job selling coins LoL 🤣😆
Agreed and one would have to say that this is a pretty low bar.
Brutally honest!! Well done sir!!

for $600 I got a tub of 20 silver eagles. I did good at the coin shop.
Not that good
@@G-BONENot bad at all. 30 even is good for eagles. I rarely get them because they're overpriced, but that's not bad at all from what I've seen.

Right... and the answer is, if he COULD sell it for 3x what he is asking in this ad, he WOULD! lol

Geesh! How long did it take for you to get over that one?
He was selling it at $399 in 2019
Thanks, it's good to know your watching out for the beginner in our hobby😊
Interesting what the lack of morals will allow some people to get away with.
Ever vigilant isn't just a fun thing to say. Hustlers destroy whatever environment they mooch from
They are preying on the elderly IMO
Very sad, but the entire channel is that way, not just the coin guys. The knife guys are equally as despicable.

And yet, it's really easy to do a quick search to see what other coin vendors are charging for similar coins.
He needs to catch a fraud charge
I got some Costco gold and silver for the hell of it.

Any coins sold on TV infomercials are scams.
I love that show. I love Watching it on TV and having my laptop on eBay comparing the prices. Fun times! 👍
My local “mom & pop shop” is the cheapest price no matter where I look here on Long Island. My next place is SD Bullion,!
Man that’s crazy and a scam what this guy is doing. Especially to the older folks who fall for the scam. Not even most BU coins go for these prices.

that guy fell off the scam tree and hit every branch on the way down. Straight up fraud.... Feel sorry for anyone who bought them... :(
Should be reported to the BBB for misleading advertising.
He must get his prices from Littleton. Preying on the same customers too.
Silver Seekers wife knows better than to take “advantage” of this “deal” as a present for him

Even at a standard lb (16oz) 600 is pretty high. Wow, this guy needs to be investigated for fraud
The Price isn't the issue, yes it's high but he can ask what he wants as I said. The way he is marketing it is the problem.

Filthy lucre sadly applies to this.
This is why people need to educate themselves before investing. Or hopefully find someone like Josh.
I just paid 2072 for almost 72 ounces in quarters and dimes did I do ok never bought this kind of silver in my life
Not great not terrible either. Under 30 per ounce is ok imo.
With a premium you paid under $30/ozt. Exam the condition individually to determine what price is far, under spot, spot, or over spot.
Nationally advertised from Littleton
He also runs a carnival show too and the tickets are 1/2 price at the door🎉😂
I have ocean front lots in south Dakota for cheaper than that!
That Governor there is AWESOME!!!!!
He has to pay for tv .
Yeah this is downright fraudulent.
Wow! He's selling silver coins at under 28% of their value - according to his bullshit. He needs to be prosecuted for fraud.
He's a SCAMMER 💸💸💸
Charging $500 is misrepresenting full stop, not free market, because he is selling it to old people who watch that channel and are easily confused, scammy even if it was legit
That guy is for people out in the middle of the country who have little access to the medias, coin shops. or coin shows who get up really early on the weekend.
He got me when I first started buying coins.
Sorry to hear that.
I despise the term junk silver
It's absolutely shameful predatory behavior, praying on the elderly who are spending hard earned money to leave something nice to their loved ones. People like this deserve some swift street justice.

There is no such mint by that name
I fell for Mike's bs on a silver eagle never buy from them again
Definitely ridiculous wow
Thanks you for the information; Reaper Approved 🤟💀🤣
It’s hard to believe a television shopping channel 😅would dare misrepresent and over value something they’re shilling, er, selling.
Wow silver dimes for 15$ is crazy i buy mine for like 2$ 4 or 5$ for good barbers maybe but geez
