I got one of their Amiga PSU's last month. When I placed the order (the listing was in Beige) I then messaged them for a Black case & they sent me a black psu. Been happy with it.
i brought 2 replacement c64 psus but none for my amigas. the reason being; i heard the old amiga psus dont take out your computer when they die, unlike the c64.
@@trydowave I had heard the C64 could be damaged by a failing PSU. I went for a new one for the Amiga as the old one was fine but as part of my ongoing refurb of it, it's now in a Black A1200.net case so wanted the PSU to match. It was either a 2nd hand black A1200 PSU or a brand new one. Costs were about the same so went for new.
The Amiga psu is at best 20+ years old now and they are likely to be failing now. To be honest a lot of Amiga power packs were barely powerful enough when new. Recap or replace, I think new is a better option personally.
I would love to get one of these for my C64C. I brought it with me to Tasmania but didn't bring the PSU, which was working the last time I used it but as you pointed out, it's a risk to keep using it these days. My poor C128D died when the PSU exploded so I never want to experience something like that again. Could you share a link to where we can get one of these PSUs?

Excellent, they should last a long time.

It's supposed to be Stabilized 5V/2.0A DC output with anti-ripple filter ?
So why does the display say 4.90v @ the end of the video ?
It seems he has increased the price by nearly £20.
Really ?
@@mjnurney It's now £53.99 + £17.99 delivery, at least to N.Ireland.
I think I'll pass for now.

Do you still have the problem that the display freezes? The same happens to me
Did you test the voltages on this to see if it is safe for the C64?
I did initially but I need to look into this some more
Is is the c128 psu that works on a cd32 also? Or do those do it? Can't remember.
Sadly not. The c128 is a square plug like the Amiga but it’s different to the Amiga power requirements. The cd32 has a 4 pin round connector on it.
The c64 is AC power, the cd32 is just DC
1541-2 psu, 1581 and the a590 (the cbm a500 hdd if ive got the wrong number) use the same psu as the cd32.
@@sneekeruk yes
But 1541-2 psu is really weak not enough juice
There is a psu with dual out puts. C64 and 1541. That would drive a cd32.
does that come with an adapter to be used on the other side of the pond with NTSC 64 ?
The ones on the Uk site are 240v but he can supply Eu and U.S versions as well.
