    I believe that this is the first time I’ve seen/heard a doctor talking/coaching a mom through her delivery. He sounded so reassuring and patient. Reminded me of my OB/GYN. many years ago. Good job done by the entire ‘team’. Congrats on a beautiful birth.

      Same! My OBGYN has seen me through from my first visit at 13, to endometriosis treatment, birth control, 6 pregnancies, 😢 4 births with a newborn picture and traditional 1st birthday visits with pictures to a cancer finding, and complete hysterectomy at 40. He and his staff, nurses became family to us. This OBGYN has mannerisms just like mine.

    My mom gave birth to me without any meds, and my sister to. I gave her some trouble, because I didn't want to come out.
    Mothers are SUPERWOMEN for giving birth, and I have the utmost respect, awe, and admiration for you all. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day. God bless all of you mothers!!
    I cried as soon as the baby was placed on the momma's chest. I wasn't able to have any children of my own, but I'd give anything to go through this once.
    As I said, God bless all mothers and future mothers. For the future mothers, may your labor and delivery goes quick and painless, so you can enjoy your baby sooner.

      You will get through. I’m 62 and have had two and and they were tough. Do not be a hero and not ask for an epidural if you wish. After years working in the hospital and knowing options these days Better to not put your baby in distress and this can happen if mom is in distress.

    Man, I tried for this...ended up with 1 stillbirth at 33 weeks, emerg c/s after partial induction, VBAC with sudden b/p drop, & my 4th was emerg c/s after induced & failed VBAC. When I *got* to push I rocked it. Oh, and breastfed for 6+ years. We each have to take what we can from these experiences as it is unique and not a competition. I came out of 100+ hours of labour, spinal headache, shingles, 12+ Rhogam shots, pushing my biggest baby out sunny side up, kind of “you name it” with PTSD, in part from trauma but also from feeling like I had “failed”. That impacted all aspects of my life, for years. She rocked the pushing too-my congratulations and major kudos! My own proudest-c/s with no sedation, following my backup plan, with my midwife making sure I held my youngest FIRST. That and my VBAC were redemption from my unnecessary first c/s.

      It's painful, like bad cramps. I've definitely experienced worse pain in my life lol.
      At 15/16 though, my advice is to get through early adulthood before having kids. Get your education, travel, start a career, buy a house. Being a parent is much easier when you're already established.

      @@aarzoothakur6659 Hello Aarzoo! You have a beautiful name 🌺.I am expecting my second baby by mid next year and again I am doing the same I walk a lot, walk my three dogs twice a day, I vaccum dust, and try to squat for everything that falls on floor :). I have been asked to drink plenty of water and lemon juice and coconut water. U just don't take much pressure on you, go as easy as you can and once when in hospital just relax and focus on your body guiding you. Your body hints a lot from having thigh pains - to feeling dizzy - gentle water break which is like warm water gushing out and then comes contractions which should be monitored as they rhythm a lot with time. My water broke at 6:30 am, I was 4cm already open , and the cm kept on increasing with every pain and by 6 cm I was rolled in to labour room as we could feel the head. It took me 8 mins to push and one has to push with inhale exhale and baby just flew out :) then comes the cleaning and stiching part ( we don't feel that as already body has gone through so much)... Lil yoga/ squatting is just ok to keep you active and walks. Any questions lemme know I will answer to my best as per my experience and I dint get any epidural injection it was so quick ☺️

    It really annoys me when dads or other relatives present stand there grinning or laughing when the mother is screaming in agony ! Neither do I understand this current trend of not giving pain relief , seems to me things are going backwards for women , they don't even numb the area before performing an episiotomy any more or when stitching up the mother !

    • @Christyschair
      @Christyschair 3 роки тому +11

      Lots of reasons why a woman would choose no pain killers. I did a lot of research with my first daughter to figure out how I wanted my labor to go. I found that sometimes an epidural can effect that first time breast feeding which is crucial. A lot of times an epidural leads to more unnecessary medical intervention. The more you move the less likely you are to tear, giving you a quicker and easier recovery. An epidural can also make labor last longer and make it harder for the woman to be in control and listen to what her body needs to do. Also, epidurals don't always work. For all of the above reasons I tried without and only got one because I was exhausted. I was 4 days over due and being induced. I barley slept prior due to misinformation my dr gave me. 20 hours in I was only at a 4. They gave me an epidural, placed it all the way in incorrectly, had to take it out and redo it. I felt like something was wrong and was ignored. Then my water broke, then given pitocin, then it completely failed. It bumped my contractions to 1 1/2 minutes apart and was a million times worse then before. The anesthesiologist turned off his pager and no one could find anyone to fix it for 2 hours and left me screaming. Finally someone came to fix and talked down to me and yelled at me. It then wore off when I pushed her out. My next labor I am preparing as much as possible for no epidural. It was so much worse for me. Also, if you don't have an epidural you are less likely to have an episiotomy. They are much les common now and really only do them in emergencies. They do numb you before if they do. I completely understand why others would choose an epidural. There is nothing wrong with a mama choosing what labor she thinks is best for her and her baby

    • @sianpearson9927
      @sianpearson9927 3 роки тому +7

      @@Christyschair I had an epidural though it was on the advice of the midwife because they were going to induce me. It was utter relief. I didn't need an episiotomy( I have seen several births where no injection was given before cutting and then stitching afterwards) and I don't understand why it's done for some epidurals when it's not necessary. I did however tear inside , my pelvic floor split front to back and side to side , if I had not been given the epidural then I would have felt that happening also them stitching me up afterwards which took 3 attempts to get right. When the epidural wore off I was in agony and not pain free until my son was about 3 months old. I don't know why receiving an epidural should affect breastfeeding , I didn't continue with it because I hated it and it was very painful , breastfeeding is not crucial. My son had no ill effects from having formula. If the mother isn't happy or comfortable with it then she should not be made to feel she has to , miserable mother , miserable baby. At the end of the day it should all be up to the mother as she is the one going through it all. After my experience I was adamant I was not going to have another baby , I didn't forget any of it.

      @@sianpearson9927 I am so sorry you had that experience. While I agree that fed is best and not everyone can nurse (I was only able to nurse my daughter for 3 weeks due to a combo of her being severely tied and me have to go back to work right away and not having enough time to pump on breaks) but I am not going to ignore that there are health benefits to breast milk. My daughter was fine as well. But I really wanted to try and there is nothing wrong with that. I am sorry if it felt in anyway that I was shaming formula.

I started eating the dates n pineapple when I was 8 months 2 weeks. Ladies expecting a baby my advice for u eat healthy but plz don’t forget to eat some pineapple n dates during your last trimester it’s will help you to give birth naturally n fast labour.
